Hey, check out the writing system my cloŋ recently adopted:

Hmm, I sure remember seeing that script before. But all I remember is hearing that the script was derived from a map of the Emirates of the UAE, that the script was made for some cloŋ named Abdaylani, and that the /k/ letter was once in yellow wearing a cyan baseball cap and being a dork by stomping on stage to the annoyance of the other letters.

Abdaylani script for Enyahu

For disclosure, the Abdaylani script is not my invention, nor is it the official script for Enyahu, the latter being the flagship out of my several conlangs. I just had the idea of adapting Abdaylani script to it for the sake of the neography memes / the funny.

A sample of Enayhu's actual orthography, which is a Phoenician / Etruscan-looking script, is shown in the upper right corner of the key image, which when romanized yields the phrase Abdaylanok Enyahu "Enyahu Abdaylanization".

Also, the second image in this post has an Enyahu sample text in the Abdaylani orthography, alongside the text's IPA and romanization, and its English translation.

Hari script

[ font link ]

Hari script derives its name from the Deyora term for the FreeSmart alliance (Hari is a Deyorization of the "free" in FreeSmart), and it was adopted by Deyora for the following two reasons:

  1. Its flexibility compared to the original Kana orthography, which only fit the language's phonologically conservative dialects. The image shown here however is the orthography of Standard Deyora, which is of the latter category, other dialects use additional letters and diacritics which that font doesn't include.

  2. Hari script's precursor, the FreeSmart script, was in-universe coined by FreeSmart members, as its name suggests. And such is also true of the Deyora language itself, so adopting the script was a way for Deyora speakers to get back in touch with the language's original creators.

G64 Lore Part 1

Context:

G64, short for “Glyphs 64”, as it has 64 glyphs total, is a conscript I made a few years ago based off the 64 starter characters of BFB, season 4 of Battle for Dream Island.

Shown here is the first half of G64’s alphabetical order, since the other half will be drawn and posted some near future night.

Cella in her resting spot used/dirty

Ngl, I find her sexy/handsome when she’s worn out from use like this.

I do of course get that used dish sponges are gross and all, but at the same time they to me have this weird charm to them?

I bet it’s due to being dishwasherless for most of my life, and thus I being normalized to used/dirty dish sponges and how their soft sides stain and wear out, while their scrub sides get ruffled, pilled and trap muck and food particles.

Thoughts on creating subreddits for niche object attractions?

I presume members here have had the idea before of creating subreddits to post about their object attractions.

What I've been thinking about recently is cases of when said attractions are niche (e.g. my own attraction to kitchen sponges), and thus their corresponding subreddits presumably wouldn't gain much traction, albeit they'd be spaces their founders would be able to vent about their niche object attractions in.

And I was wondering what the members of this subreddit would think about the latter in general.

What was your awakening to being objectum?

For me personally, is was the sponge treatment scene from SpongeBob that made me realize I had an attraction to kitchen sponges, and I personally find the scene hot/sexy the way irl SpongeBob got lathered up and used to scrub various surfaces.

How do Cleansums feel about different scrubbing tools?

That question came to me when I recently dug up this image of the scrub pads that my former dish mates and I had to use to scrub utensils with back when I volunteered as a dishwasher for short time.

On my end for example, my primary love interest is of course with kitchen sponges, but scrub pads to me are their cousins, and they do possess a certain charm as dish scrubber mates from my experience with them.

Also, as a sidenote, the friends I’ve met who also simp for scrubbing tools are from my experience either people with cleaning jobs, or those for who cleaning tasks are sensorily salient, I myself fall into the latter with dishwashing, but I know of three other people one of who works as a dishwasher, and the other two as custodians.

Unicon script prototype

[ font link ]

Unicon, whose name is short for Unified Conscript, arose from a movement for all seven of my conlangs to switch to a common script to ease publishing and bureaucracy.

The font seen here for the most part faithfully encapsulates the orthographies of Enyahu, Twobaddic, Caunlang and Two Colons, while how Rotafeline, Sugondese and Toki Teopotouea spelling within the Unicon script will work is yet to be determined.

The version of Unicon shown here is a prototype that's yet to be refined into something more functionally and aesthetically streamlined.
