Good ending?
Swansea managed to save Daisuke, the only survivor, who wakes up inside the capsule when the ship crashes uncontrollably onto Earth.
There is no food in the tube; Swansea had also removed it before everyone had to drink the mouthwash loads to survive.
The oxygen feeding him is laced with menthol, and the tube in his throat pumps in and recycles the same mouthwash his savior jammed in there after making him swallow the hose.
His throat burns from regurgitating fluoride-laced mint and spearmint, but it managed to keep him alive. His poorly treated wounds are no longer bleeding him out; now, he can receive real medical help.
That thing was making him gag and choke. While he slept, the machine had forced air in and automatically expelled it; now, he had to breathe and swallow at the same time. He couldn't get the mask off; he had opened the door with only weak blows, so the system hadn't registered it as a manual release. The respirator was jammed tight against the back of his neck, and in his desperation, he couldn't find the button to release the clamps.
When he finally tore the mouthpiece away and pulled out the nasal cannulas, he dragged out what seemed like meters of thin tubing, from which a menthol-blue liquid dripped steadily. He vomited and collapsed, feeling the cold of the floor and the vapor from the capsule; he was starting to sweat again, and his body was turning the sweat into steam. Fortunately, he lost consciousness before the flashlights of the incoming rescue team could blind him.
