Yeah we’re definitely right here

It is baffling how every post in this sub is some sort of complaint once again acting like this is the worst game of all time. Is it really that hard to just not play it if you feel that way? It’s absolutely tiring when all discussion of the game is negative for literally no reason. If you don’t like it that’s fine, if you have constructive problems about it that’s fine, but whining online about how it’s the worst thing you’ve ever played is manchild behavior. Go play something else. You have no obligation. Let us enjoy the game.

Anyway, what is everyone’s thoughts on Zenith? I think it’s a top 5 map. The aesthetics, flanking points, and secret areas are all top notch.

If MBV ever went on MTV Unplugged what would the setlist be?

Been thinking about this cause of how much Kevin buries in the sound; an MTV unplugged for MBV of all bands is hilarious for that reason. If somehow in some far off universe it happened, what do you think the setlist would be?

Prices on merch store not converting to USD

I visited the online merch store a couple weeks ago to get the glider long sleeve and a copy of loveless on Vinyl but held off. I was gonna go for it today but now all the prices are in GBP yet the numbers themselves seem to be the same. Is anyone else experiencing the same issue? Is it intentional? I’d prefer to save my 32 cents per dollar especially when shipping is 30 bucks.

Downloading MS70CDR+ effects to MS50G+?

I’m currently trying to take the Reverse Reverb featured on the MS70CDR+ and put it on my MS50G+. From everything I’ve been able to put together online, the best way to do this is to download the effect from the Zoom servers and use ZT2 to install it to my 50G+. I just can’t figure it out for the life of me. It doesn’t help that Google ignores the “+” half the time and instead gives results based on the original models, which have much simpler effect sharing.

I believe the instructions are left intentionally vague to avoid any sort of copyright violations, but I haven’t been able to download the file. The GUI build of ZT2 just opens a blank command line on my computer. Is there some way to install it that I’m missing?

Again, I’m sorry, and I’m sure this is easy as hell for someone with any sort of experience. If there’s an easier way to do it too that would be great. Thank you!

What part of a VHS player is this?

My JVC HR-A591U seems to have been damaged in a move. I turned it on and all the lights on the main panel were lit up and it began smoking. I immediately unplugged it. When I try to turn it on and retrieve the tape inside, it makes a spinning and clicking noise but does nothing. The functions such as line in work as normal.

I opened it up and found this piece loose inside. Anyone know what it might go to and if by some miracle it can be repaired? Thanks.

Consensus on Season 4?

Not at home right now so unable to play the new season until later tomorrow. What are everyone’s thoughts? I’m most interested to know about the roguelite zombies mode and the new maps.

Also, what’s your favorite and least favorite map in the game if you have the time, I wanna see if I can find someone I agree most with for the most accurate consensus for me personally. Perhaps that’ll help someone else as well.

Hypothetical multiplayer mode “Multiplayer 1989”

Multiplayer 1989 is a playlist set featured in Black Ops II’s multiplayer. It can be accessed at the bottom of the network play menu, or as a playlist the mode selection in local play or private match.

Multiplayer 1989 features a set of weapons, maps, and progression exclusive to the mode. Matches are played 4v4 rather than the usual 6v6. Free for all matches have 6 players rather than the usual 8.

The customization options are similar to Black Ops II’s main multiplayer mode, but feature only one perk slot, a fixed set of killstreaks, and no wildcards, custom reticles, or weapon prestige. The Pick 10 system has been scrapped in favor of a more simplistic class creator reminiscent of COD 4’s. Players can equip 2 attachments to their primary and one to their secondary by default, though this can be changed with perks.

Player customization such as custom emblems and calling cards are shared between the main multiplayer.

The factions for every map in the mode are CIA vs Menendez Cartel. Menendez is the announcer for the Cartel, while Jason Hudson is the announcer for the CIA. All character models are taken from the campaign.

5 modes are featured in the playlist; Team Deathmatch 1989, Free For All 1989, Hardpoint 1989, Domination 1989, and Kill Confirmed 1989.

Killstreaks are present instead of scorestreaks, of which there are 3 available:

4 Kills - UAV

6 Kills - Hellstorm Missile

8 Kills - Attack Helicopter

A small selection of camos are featured in the mode, which can only be equipped on primary weapons:

Nevada - 50 kills

Sahara - 50 Kills with no attachments

Flora - 15 Revenge Medals

Flecktarn - 10 Double Kills

Russia - 50 headshots

Tiger - 5 kills without dying 5 times

Gold - Complete all camo challenges

MAPS:

In public matches, maps are selected randomly due to the small pool of available maps. The maps primarily feature locations from the flashback missions in the campaign.

OUTPOST

Map Size: Medium

Description: Communications outpost in Angola. Weave through multiple layers of small buildings.

Notes: Based on the end of the mission Phyrric Victory.

DEAD DROP

Map Size: Medium

Description: Weapons cache in Afghanistan. Intense verticality and flanking routes provided by staggering rock formations

Notes: Based on the weapons cache section of the mission Old Wounds

COMPOUND

Map Size: Large

Description: Menendez’s compound in Nicaragua. Underground bunkers and village rooftops head a brutal defense over the compound’s advantageous main structure.

Notes: Based on the mission Time and Fate

THE YARD

Map Size: Small

Description: Close engagements in and around a Nicaraguan courtyard

Notes: Based on the end of the mission Time and Fate

HANGAR

Map Size: Small

Description: Airplane Hangar in Panama. Flank from the rooftops with several distinct layers of verticality

Notes: Based on the start of Suffer With Me, takes place during nighttime

NIGHTINGALE

Map Size: Medium

Description: Close range urban engagements on the streets of Panama.

Notes: Based on middle of Suffer With Me

PERKS:
8 perks are featured, most variants exclusive to the mode.

Gunfighter - Equip an additional attachment to your primary and secondary weapons

Ghost - Cannot be detected by UAVs while moving

Blind Eye - Attack helicopter will not target you. Hellstorm missile will not outline you.

Lightweight - Move, aim, and swap weapons faster

Scavenger - Start with one additional tactical and lethal. Pick up ammo off killed enemies

Ninja - Move silently, enemy footsteps are more audible

Forward Information - Reduce effects of tacticals, killstreaks require one less kill

Toughness - Take less explosive damage, flinch less when shot

LEVELS:
The mode features only 24 levels, a large decrease to the main multiplayer’s 55. To balance this, leveling up takes longer than it normally would, although weapon leveling is the same. Upon completion of all levels, the player is given the option to prestige to a max of 5 prestiges, although in this mode no additional benefits are provided besides a new set of prestige emblems.

The mode features no preset classes, with a custom class 1 being unlocked immediately.

[BO] Black Ops 1 Multiplayer takes place in 1971/72?

Poster on Stadium advertising the 1972 hockey season. Does BO1 multiplayer, or at least some of the maps, take place in 1972?

Reverse Reverb on MS50G+?

I’ve been trying to figure this out with varying degrees of success. I bought the MS50G+ thinking it had a reverse reverb preset only to learn that it’s not built in. I know there are a ton of threads about this, but half of them are about the original MS50, and the other half are from before the G+ even launched. I saw a tutorial on how to make a fake reverse reverb that doesn’t sound the best, and in there the guy implied you could get the preset if you had an iPhone, which I do, but I don’t have the Apple camera cable that you need to plug it in.

I’m wondering if there’s any way to get reverse reverb on the thing. Thank you!

MBV 1989-92 Live Recording Guide spreadsheet - samples, notes, and sound quality information

I’ve been working on a sort of encyclopedia of every MBV live recording with information on their sound quality and different sources. So far I’ve gotten every recording I could find from 1989-1992.

Some of them have samples taken from RockinConcerts, who are a scummy ass business that aim to profit off other taper’s hard work. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! Just scroll down and you’ll find a preview MP3 file. I am aware there are full shows elsewhere on the internet, but in the interest of preserving them and ensuring they will not be taken down due to their inclusion on the document, I encourage you to search on your own. I don’t really care if rockin concerts goes up in flames, even if their samples ended up being a valuable resource for making this list. Hope this helps someone!

Slowdive North American Tour Program from 94, from when their label dropped funding for the tour.

Taken from this eBay listing: https://ebay.us/m/d7V5eg which I am not associated with. Interesting references to Blur, the Stone Roses, and Sherilyn Fenn (of Twin Peaks fame)

My Bloody Valentine has proven to be a bit of an anomaly as it seems they have a massive catalog of live recordings yet they are somewhat hard to access. I saw there were a good amount of shows on a MEGA drive and a few on the internet archive as well. Is there any actively maintained live collection/archive of shows, and if not, would it be possible to get another one going? Thanks!
