Found multiple mistakes on my I-130 and now I'm freaking out

My I-130 has been stuck on "Case Was Received and a Receipt Notice Was Sent" since June 3, 2025.

Today, I was filling out my K-3 visa application and decided to look at my original I-130 so I could copy and paste some of the information.

I cannot believe how many mistakes I've found. It's actually astonishing.

I entered my wife's parents' information in the section asking about MY parents. I also found mistakes in my address history and other parts of the application.

I'm honestly sick to my stomach thinking about this. I've already been waiting over a year to reunite with my wife, and now I'm terrified these mistakes could cause even more delays or possibly get my petition denied.

Has anyone else discovered multiple mistakes on their I-130 after submitting it? Did you correct them while your case was pending, and did it affect your approval?

I really don't know what to do right now.

"Case Was Received and A Receipt Notice Was Sent" Since June 3, 2025

This has been the only update on my USCIS case since June 3, 2025

I sent a demand letter on September 14, 2026, and I'm planning to wait until October 14 to see whether they respond. I'm honestly afraid they'll just ignore it.

I've already contacted my senator for assistance, but unfortunately, that didn't lead anywhere.

I miss my wife so much. Being separated from her for this long has been emotionally exhausting, and it feels cruel that we're expected to just kee waiting without knowing when anything will happen.

I don't know what else to do at this point.

Has anyone here had success after sending a demand letter? Did USCIS actually respond, or did you eventually have to file a mandamus lawsuit?

I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who's been through something similar.

First day on Adderall XR with AuDHD, is this what it’s supposed to feel like?

I’m always kind of paranoid when I take medication because I start wondering if I’m faking the effects, imagining them, or just experiencing placebo.

Today was my first time taking Adderall XR. I took 15 mg even though I was originally supposed to start at 10 mg, because the pharmacy was out of the 10 mg dose.

I took it around 12–1 PM on an empty stomach. I stayed in bed for maybe 20 minutes, then got up to eat and started washing dishes.

And for some reason, doing the dishes felt AWESOME. I had music playing, I was super focused, and it didn’t feel like this annoying burden I had to force myself through. I actually felt excited to get it done.

Then while I was cleaning, I started feeling like, “Holy shit, I can actually do whatever I decide to do.”

I ended up cleaning for about 5 hours straight. I vacuumed, mopped, worked on the carpeted basement, cleaned all the cat litter boxes, did laundry, cleaned the kitchen and table, and organized a bunch of stuff.

Normally I can get these things done, but I’m much slower. I need breaks, I have to convince myself to start, and sometimes I spread the same amount of work across days or even weeks.

Today I just… did it.

I also kept wanting to tell people how much I was getting done because I was so excited that I could actually be productive like this.

I still have stuff I want to clean, and honestly I’m already excited to finish the rest tomorrow.

I’m AuDHD, and I mostly wanted to share this and ask whether anyone else had a similar experience when they first started stimulants.

Did it feel obvious to you that the medication was working, or did you also question whether it was placebo?

My VR&E counselor has been completely unresponsive

The last time she responded, she said my Tungsten approval would be completed by July 24. It is now past that date, and I have not received any updates despite multiple emails, phone calls, and voicemails. Her phone doesn't even ring; it goes straight to voicemail every time.

To make matters worse, my school's deadline was July 28, so this delay could affect my classes.

Has anyone else experienced this? What did you do to get your case moving?

Housing Resources for a Family

Looking for resources for my dad in Rockford. He may need a new place by December and has kids living with him. He has stable income but poor credit after a bankruptcy. Any housing resources, counselors, or landlords who work with credit issues? Thanks.

What worked for you to stay consistent?

I started going to the gym in February this year. I had no idea what I was doing at first. I just showed up and did a few exercises. I'm still pretty new, but I feel much more confident now and strength training has become part of my routine.

I'm wondering if I can approach learning Korean the same way. Just do the bare minimum every day until it becomes a habit instead of trying to study for hours.

I already know Hangul and a few words. I can read Korean and even do karaoke by following the lyrics, but I don't actually understand what I'm reading or singing.

Has anyone learned Korean this way? Did it work?

How do i really know if I have AUDHD?

I was diagnosed with both ADHD and autism by my therapist, but I’m having trouble trusting the diagnosis. A lot of the ADHD evaluation was based on self-assessment questions, and I keep thinking I could have exaggerated my answers or chosen the most extreme option without realizing it. With autism, I had already brought it up several times and wanted an evaluation, so now I worry that I pushed my therapist toward diagnosing me.

I wanted some kind of test where I wouldn’t know the “correct” answers and could just respond naturally, preferably with someone who specializes in adult ADHD and autism. Has anyone else felt like their diagnosis was fake or influenced by wanting answers? Did getting a second opinion or a more comprehensive evaluation help?

Flies keep appearing

Bought a house that was built mid 1950. Once it started getting hot, flies started to appear. Just when I thought I killed them all, another appears. They appear everyday and I dont know where they come from.

What did you do to get back in shape?

I'm 100% P&T and can't find a job right now, so I'm just waiting for school to start. I've been meal prepping and going to the gym 3–4 times a week, but I haven't seen much progress with weight loss. I have so much free time that I feel like I should be doing more. What did you guys do when you had a lot of free time and wanted to focus on building muscle and losing weight? Any habits or routines that made a big difference?

How Do I Become a Great Landscaping Worker?

I passed the phone interview and have my in-person interview soon. I'm really excited because I enjoy working outside, taking care of my own yard, and learning practical skills.

For those of you in landscaping, what should I expect as a new employee? What makes someone stand out, and what skills should I focus on learning first? I want to become really good at landscaping and apply what I learn to my own yard too.

Navy Federal won't update escrow for my 100% VA property tax exemption

I bought my house in Illinois in January 2026 and my 100% Disabled Veterans Property Tax Exemption has already been approved. I sent Navy Federal the approval letter, but they said they need either an estimated tax amount or the actual tax bill before they'll update my escrow.

The problem is the county says they can't give me either because the 2026 assessments and tax rates haven't been released yet, so the 2026 tax bill doesn't even exist. They told me the approval letter is all they can provide right now.

Has anyone else run into this? What did your lender end up accepting, or did you just have to wait until the tax bill came out?

Anywhere to play PF2E?

Does anyone know anywhere in the Rockford area that plays Pathfinder 2e?

I've only played D&D 5e before, so I'd be completely new to PF2e, but I'd really like to learn and find a group that's okay with a newcomer.

Got approved for accounting bachelors, any accounting vets with advice?

Just got approved to go back to school for a bachelor’s in accounting, plus 30 extra credits to reach the CPA requirement. I’m about to start school soon and I want to prepare myself for what I’m getting into. I’ll be honest, I didn’t really know what I wanted to study at first, but I chose accounting because it seems like a stable career path with different options. For the accountants here, what should I expect in school and after graduation? What would you tell someone starting from zero, and what should I do now to set myself up the right way?

VRE supplies for qccounting bachelors

Got approved for VR&E for an accounting bachelor’s and I’ll be doing hybrid classes. What kind of supplies/equipment would I be able to get approved for? Since it’s hybrid, would VR&E usually approve a decent computer setup? Also, does accounting require a better computer because of Excel, online classes, accounting software, and coursework? And would it be reasonable to ask for a tablet to write notes and read assigned e-books since a lot of classes don’t use physical books anymore?

EDIT TITLE: Accounting*
