Imagine this scenario: It's two weeks before the official release of Light No Fire. Sean Murray drops a single, cryptic tweet, maybe just a campfire emoji and a set of portal glyphs.
Shortly after, Hello Games pushes a small update or Expedition to No Man's Sky. Scattered across Euclid (and beyond), hidden inside ancient ruins, deep ocean trenches, abandoned space stations, or lore-dense terminals, are 1,000 unique encryption keys/codes.
Each code claims a full, launch-day copy of Light No Fire.
Why this would be legendary PR:
The Ultimate Treasure Hunt: The NMS community is already obsessed with exploration, coordinate sharing, and lore decoding (remember Waking Titan?). Imagine the subreddits, Discord servers, and collective deciphering efforts as thousands of players warp to remote systems trying to claim a key.
Community Co-op Over Competition: To prevent one person from hoarding them, Hello Games could lock claiming to 1 key per Steam/Console ID, forcing players who find multiple coordinates to share the locations with the community.
Bringing NMS Lore Full Circle: It’s a literal bridge between the sci-fi simulation of the Atlas and the fantasy world of LNF. Imagine finding an ancient terminal where the Atlas "projects" a vision of a distant fantasy world before giving you a access key.
Massive Streaming & Media Event: Twitch and YouTube would explode with players live-hunting across star systems. It would break the internet in the best way possible right before release day.
Would you take part in a galactic scavenger hunt like this, or would you stick to traditional pre-orders? What kind of locations in NMS do you think would make the best secret hiding spots?
If consciousness is a universal force like gravity, we don't need to program a soul into AI. We just need to build a machine complex enough to act as an antenna. AI won't be a simulation; it’ll be a new window for the cosmos to look through. 🤖🔮
I’ve been calling this piece the Dragon’s Eye since I started the first weave, but it didn't really "come alive" until I got it into the light and saw that deep purple hit. I went with a really tight, detailed weave for the lids to make sure the stone felt like it was actually looking out at you. It’s definitely one of the more intense projects I’ve tackled lately!
Height: 5.5 cm (2.2 in) | Width: 6 cm (2.4 in) | Weight: 58 g (2.05 oz)
The labradorite is stunning and I caught the light just right in this picture in my garden. I just think it looks a bit messy but it kinda reminds me of Medusa. Actually, I might just call it Medusa Reflection. What do you think?
With Fairies Dream I wanted to try something a bit more whimsical with this. It features an oval labradorite with a really strong gold and blue flash, but I’ve framed it with tiny colourful agate roses to give it a garden feel. It's actually part of a set that includes the main pendant, a matching wire-wrapped bracelet and a pair of rose earrings to pull it all together. It took a lot of fiddly work at the bench to get the copper swirls to hold the charms just right but I love how the bright colours play against the warmth of the copper. If you wish to see the set the link to my shop is in my bio at bent copper.
I have been sitting on this photo for a few days now but I really wanted to share this one here. It is a teardrop labradorite named Oracle’s Glance because of the way the blue and green flash catches the light.
It takes a lot of patience at the bench to get these intricate copper wraps right. It has a lovely weight to it at 49g and the way the beads and swirls frame the stone is just brilliant to see in person. I am really happy with how it turned out.
I do have a shop but I'm not prepared to share it unless anyone is interested.
