Where do you keep your L1 charging cable?

I like the nice case they provided, but other than just leaving it in the trunk, not sure the best place to store it in the car for an emergency.

Lightning Patterns & Remote Smart Assist - missing from the store

Hey all,

Picked up a new Nightfall Land earlier this week and just wanted to check out the pricing to add the Remote Smart Assist or additional lighting patterns, but oddly I don’t even have an option in the Kia Connect store for anything to do with either one, no trials, no purchase, it’s just missing.

Does it usually take a few days for the options to show up in the store?

Bought a car yesterday, R2 invite arrived today :)

Reservation was March 20, 2024 - not a current owner and the lease on my Genesis GV70 electrified is up the end of July.

I've wanted a R1S for years but it was out of our budget. I've kept and eye on used R1S prices, but they haven't dropped far enough yet and was truly hopeful the R2 would work on a lease before they announced pricing, but alas, not in the budget at the moment either.

Ended up picking up a Kia EV9 Nightfall yesterday with the end of the quarter specials, got a great deal (74k MSRP, $529/mo for 24 months with just 1st/taxes due at signing) and while not required, the 3rd row will ultimately come in handy for us.

All in all i'm happy with the decision i made, but it does feel a bit bittersweet to pass on the R2 given how long i've wanted a Rivian. Hopefully the lease prices will have come down in 24 months when my EV9 lease is up and it fits in the budget.

Is it worth keeping the reservation even if i don't proceed?

How do you handle the clutter?

Since joining vine just over a year ago, we've collected quite an assortment of random items. Many are functional, some are just fun, others completely impractical - but unlike ordering things that we truly need, we tend to stray into the "well this is kinda cool, i wouldn't necessarily buy this normally, but what the heck".

As a result, we've started to accumulate clutter all over our house.

Lately we've just put a moratorium on what we get. Unless we absolutely 100% need it, we skip it.

How do you all handle it? Chuck stuff out as you go? Garage Sale?

Which color do you think looks best in the Nightfall edition?

Unfortunately every Kia dealer seems to use the same horrible stock images, so its hard to truly tell how the colors look.

In your opinion, which color looks the best with nightfall?

I'm currently leaning towards Wolf Grey, Road Rider Brown, or Ocean Blue.

Watch to Phone - How to accomplish?

My daughter has had a standalone watch plan with US Mobile for about two years. We’ve decided she’s old enough for a phone now, so we’re giving her one of our older iPhones and wanted to sign up for the $299 Premium Unlimited promotion.

After speaking with support, I was told the line would not qualify for any new customer promotions because the number is considered an existing line, even though she has never previously had a phone plan.

Can you confirm if this is accurate?

It’s pretty frustrating that the only way for her to keep the phone number associated with her watch is to forfeit eligibility for promotional pricing, or to take our business to another carrier for what would be her first phone.

Perks & Discounts

Hi all,

I was about to submit my first 3 month perk verification and noticed it says the following: "Service credit for perks may not be combined with other offers, rewards, or discounts."

Does that mean if my lines are paying $35 ($44 premium -$9 discount, for $35/mo) that we aren't eligible for perks?

Is there a list of all the generations of the E26 Hue bulbs over the years and how they differ?

I found an older 75W (1100 lumens) E26 White and Color Ambiance starter kit (4 bulbs and a hub) in my garage that i forgot i had, i probably bought them 4 years ago. I have no need for the hub, but i'm wondering it its worth selling them and picking up the newest 60W E26 models they have on sale on the hue website right now, or just cracking them open and using the bulbs.

Ultimately, i don't think mine have the following features - but curious if there was a list somewhere that shows the full differences between the different generations?

  • Full-spectrum light (1000-20000K)
  • Dimmable to 0.2% brightness
  • Chromasync™ precision color

My 1 year old external enclosure (JMS579 chipset) seems to be on the way out. Started frequently disconnecting from my Beelink S12 Pro about 1-2 weeks ago as Scrypted NVR keeps alerting me to the errors and from my testing seems to be the culprit.

Any recommendations for the best reliable 3.5" enclosure I can replace it with?

Really happy with how these feel, I’m a size 11.5 in most shoes, picked these up in size 11D and they fit perfect.

I was a little concerned about the color on the toe of the one boot at first, but I imagine it will even out over time with the pull up on these, right?

Anyway, super stoked overall. Looking forward to my next pair!
