Setting up a mesh network and trying to understand POE vs power cable

I am setting up a mesh network with two Gen 3 standard routers and a Gen 3 mini router.

What has confused me is that when the mini 3 was installed as my main router, it used POE with no power source, and now that I want to set it up as a mesh node, it needs a power source and won't run off only POE; what am I missing here?

Anyone have a suggestion for a low calorie meal plan for the next 10 years? I'm on a budget.

Why is nobody talking about this?!

Massive improvement to max battery saving mode, meaning that you can customize it waaaaay more than before, and enable it without turning off standard battery saving mode as well! So stoked with this, surprised more people aren't talking about this!
