Anyone? Just curious...

All right, you all probably know me as someone who enjoys Zhongli and makes memes and posts them sometimes in out-of-place subreddits like this one, but...

In real life, I do ballet which is why I was quite happy and excited for Odette. Usually, my fellow dancers do look like I grew a third head when I start talking about anime or gaming, alas. I can count only two other people I do know that play Genshin and also do ballet, one being a good pal of mine (she is off playing other games now) and Viridian, a YouTuber.
I've been a huge, HUGE fan of Khoreva for a long time and even had the honor of taking class from her a little while ago (I still can't believe it :D). I remember walking out of that class going, "hmm, it'd be really crazy if she did a collab with Hoyo about Odette, no? Maybe if I get motivated I'll even send Hoyo an email..."

Anyone that shares the memories here of being a fellow dancer and also plays any games? :D

What Starset song do you think goes great here?

In my region, I can’t see the eclipse but I managed to catch a few good shooting stars :D
A pal got a cool camera and captured this, and I couldn’t stop thinking about Starlight…
Though, I may be biased that Starlight was looping in my head since I do love that song, maybe Ad Astra would be a good one too?

Uhhh, Premiere 26.0 question from a Premiere newbie, different frame rates be acting weird...

See, I got all of these different frame rates in my sequence and some of them be acting weird/choppy. Searching online tells me to "interpret footage", but so far that isn't going very well...

Minsleif's family gatherings, probably

Considering all Khaenri'ahns are descendants of the Tsaritsa...

Y'know, if you like Dain, I guess your family gatherings got much more interesting. Hey look! Isn't that the third descender? And the Cryo Archon herself?!

This cutscene has so much meme potential

Archon Quests thus far

(hopefully)
as much as a lore nerd I am, I have to admit to sometimes dialogue-skipping
feel free to correct me in the comments, I'll make the meme better <:D

I'm a newbie to wigs and the whole thing, a bit of help please

Okie dokie, thank goodness for the web, a great community, and r/CosplayHelp...

I bought a Zhongli wig off of Dokidoki a while back and since it's summer I've got some time to (hopefullly) learn how to style a wig :D, so lettme give y'all hopefully a decently good rundown of what's going on (if I ramble on since I need to be descriptive and specific as possible in my post, just check the questions section <:D)

What I have:

- one wig

- a bunch of hair ties

- a few hair clips

- a scissor I stole from the Danish cookie tin

- a foam head

- a hair straightener

- a clothes steamer

- a hairdryer

- a nice fine toothed comb with a good end for picking out knots

- Got2b Glued hairspray and gel

What I've done so far:

- brushed it out

- bought a foam head stand and kinda made it my head size and marked facial feature locations (e.g. eye height, eyebrow height)

- attempted to put on wig to see how it looked (well, it went on my head, dunno what the band and stuff is for, but I mean, I did get it on lol)

- I don't own a crimper, so I used hair straightener, backcombed and teased it (I tried), then brushed it out and it did floof up a good lot

What I did today-ish:

- I saw a YouTube vid by Moota when I was getting started with the wig and thought going through and marking all of Zhongli's hair was a good idea, so I did that and then also sectioned it off

- I was getting started with finally making it zhongli-shaped and not a floof helmet, so I tried using the hair straightener to a) heat it up and b) get it into place, and then spraying hairspray (got2b), and then using a hairdryer at lower heat to put it into place

- finished an entire batch of cookies

- this took the time of approximately all 9 TADC episodes to do from start to finish lol

Problemos and questions:

- wow my fingers are sticky with hairspray I hope my keyboard is gonna be ok

- maybe I've been spraying it really close since I don't get the "misting" thing (twelve inches?? then won't everything be covered in hairspray and when you come in with the hairdryer everything just solidifies in place?!), and I've been aiming the hairspray really close (like, uhh, 3-4 inches away, which is probably not ideal), but dang, the hair is clumping up and becoming really flat, so a) what should I do in the future and **b) how do I currently fix the clumped, stringy, flat hair strands (**how do you even hairspray the wig, anyway?)

- even with the hairspray aimed really really close, certain strands of hair still aren't getting stuck to the group I want it to be and just float around, how do y'all make such clean looking wigs with no crooked hair or strands sticking out?

- is my hair straightener two chonky? it's like two inches (like, 5 centimeters) wide

- how d'you give it a 3D feel? I feel like mine is so flat after the hairspray

- is there a way to "undo" stuff I already did? like the flat parts or, say, I don't like a certain angle of hair section

and some misc. questions, such as

- is it fine I'm spraying hairspray indoors? (well, I have an open window right next to me and good ventilation)

- how do you usually go by storing your wigs without breaking the structure?

- is the end result of wig supposed to be very solid feel, or kinda soft to touch? at cons I never can tell if it's really fluffy since that's the real texture or everyone's a pro-wig maker and excellent at tricking my eyes

- in general, just how you'd go with styling a wig

- and overall, any tips or products you'd give? <:D

- oh, any animes or shows you'd recommend me to watch?

aye, tysm for reading this text wall, would really appreciate if someone helped me out <:D

I can send pictures and clarify down in the comments, I'm pretty online now since it's the summer XD

Na, Hoyo actually did kinda do their research, lettme explain

As not only your resident Hoyo game noob and Zhongli simp, I myself am a ballet dancer, though my glory days are far in the past...

I see a lot of people criticizing Hoyo for putting Odette in heels, and that's valid lol. But, I think the devs still did a tad bit of research, and if you'll stay with me for a few text walls, I can explain.

I remember actually doing this for a research project in high school (for AP World History, no less, good luck on your AP scores tomorrow, folks!) and I presented to our class on the topic of Romantic Ballet.

Before the Romantic era (16-17th century), ballet was mostly in courts and elite and very elaborate with stiff dresses and such. King Louis XIV was a huge fan of ballet and that's him as a teen being the titular role of the Sun King, if my memory serves correctly.

During the Romantic age (18th-mid 19th), well-known ballets such as Giselle (my favorite!) and La Sylphide innovated pointe shoe, gas lighting (not gaslighting, lol), and Romantic tutus. Swan Lake, surprisingly, was a flop when it first came out, but don't worry, the new-and-upgraded 2.0 version did much better!

I based most of my research of that presentation off of one source (don't tell my teacher lol), if you'd like to read up (it's surprisingly fast, I finished in a day): https://repository.lsu.edu/gradschool_disstheses/6012/, thank the person that wrote this XD

Additionally, I think another great point(e) of Hoyo making her in heels is to minimize cosplay accidents if cosplayers wanted to actually cosplay in pointe shoes. Honestly, if I did have the time, guys, maybe I should cosplay some characters on pointe, eh? (I'm thinking Odette, Columbina, and Furina XD, tho cosplay does take hella long time and I dunno how to get started)

Thanks for reading up on the Zhongli simp's ramblings, hope you learned something!

Any tips on making a mask inspired off of this?

I am merely a newbie cosplay and new to all this stuff, but I do think it would be cool to make mask inspired from this (more from this link).

Step 1: there ain't very good reference image, any tips for finding/making your own?

Step 2: how should I make this? I dunno if a masquerade mask (like, buying a plain one and then customizing it) or 3D printing one would be better

Step 2.5: if 3D print, how do I make sure this stuff actually molds to my face?

Step 3: securing this stuff too... how is it gonna stay on my face?

Any tips or ideas appreciated :D:D

Snezhnaya hype, and then there's just me

As a ballet dancer, I'm really happy and impressed with Hoyo with the three seconds of a ballerina they showed. Usually, if you don't show the lines of a dancer very well, it will look awkward and wonky instead of graceful... yay Hoyo for doing ballet justice!!

Now, my primos... er...

I mean… that’s not wrong

You might know me from my infamous GPT car wash problem, but I’m back with another one…
I guess it isn’t wrong, but alas… I just wanted a walkthrough to check my thought process…

I have a problem opposite to many people...

Sooo, you can call me out in the comments but hot take, I sometimes like it when OneNote pastes as text instead of image.

So, today, when I copied and pasted... IT TURNED INTO TEXT!!!

I know many people are happy, but is there a setting to... maybe revert back to copy and pasting as an image...? <:D

Immersion Live Demo Unanswered Questions

Hi y'all!

The Immersion Live Demo's wrapping up, and of course we all had tons of questions for STARSET, of which a good deal got unanswered...

So I was wondering if y'all have any questions about the band that you guys would like to comment down here and we can see if we can help each other around and upvote questions we all have in common <:D

Personally, I'm wondering if STARSET plays any video games... or if they have a favorite character in Endfield :D

Lace and Hornet on Desmos

Okeh dokes, this was for a math assignment which is why Lace got a lemniscate. Still can't figure out the shading so the background is white, but overall, I guess this is what waiting for Sea of Sorrow does...

The original file was hella big and Desmos only allows saves for stuff less than 5MB, so sadly it ain't saved ;(

You can view some parts of it, though! Here's the whole thing, Hornet, Lace's head, Lace's legs, and flowers. :D

Shall Microsoft feedback or y’all Redditors reply earlier?

Ok so
Downloaded new Windows update, my PC spits out error

The long version—
- downloaded 5/13's new Windows Update
- device had a blue screen saying it ran into an update and needed to restart, update failed
- model is Yoga Slim 7x Snapdragon, if you want more detail I can try down in the comments, but I can’t open Task Manager rn to double check
- is this b/c of ARM vs. x86 difference? I suspect so since my device crashes at some x64 stuff that probably isn’t compatible, like Unity and Sandbox and I needed to find workarounds

- I was prompted for some kinda security key (the one that's super long with six digits followed by a dash and then six digits followed by a dash and then six digits… you get my point)
- afterwards, you get prompted with a "Choose an option" with options "Continue", "Troubleshoot", and "Turn off your PC"
- hitting "Troubleshoot" will give you the option to reset this PC, or go to advanced options
- resetting this PC is my last option so in advanced options you have options, some of which are cmd and uninstall updates but ig if I don’t find a solution in a few days I’ll have to bid farewell to my Screenshots folder and factory reset
- uninstall updates apparently failed, continues to blue screen, restart, and update fail
- cmd actually can let me open registry for everything EXCEPT for the folder that contains the updates
- also using cmd obv I can see where and status of update package, but I can’t do anything about
- I ain't that big of a techie so I only know some basic stuff (didn't work)

anyways AP CSA tmrw, am I cooked? sucks without my best laptop as moral support, now I’ll have to use a shrunk-down keypad with bad screen brightness and lag worse than ranked games
