Okay so I'm a huge fucking nerd about sketch comedy and have been listening to alot of panic! lately. Panic!'s original aesthetic seems to be heavily inspired by Monty Python's flying circus. I mean: the cutouts, the victorian influences, the absurdity. Watch one of the Flying Circus animations and compare it to the cover of fever or pretty.odd.
My senior year is next year and I'm hoping to get into prom commitiee. Here is the US, proms have themes. I've been super hyperfixated on Monty Python and think the weird whimsy of Terry Gilliam could make a super cool prom theme. Idk how I would like, get people on board with the idea, its out there for sure.

Nero my beloved
okay so… this is Galahad’s and Rose’s son Nero. He’s a frail boy who dreamed of being a knight like his parents. His chance came when King Arthur appointed him (a 13 year old) to find a sword in a stone and bring it back to him. he’s so baby, awww I love him

Trevor: that man looks like a Link main, he just feels like the guy to do so. He’d also play Dr Mario for the lolz. He’s not too good at the game but he loves playing it at parties
Timmy: He is a villager main through and through, we actually know IRL Timmy played a lot of new horizons during Covid. Timmy is decent at the game, he will forever think malee is when the series peaked
Darren: He flip flops between all the princesses but Zelda is his most played. He is most likely the worst player of the troupe, but he is not bitter about it in the slightest
Zach: He plays snake since it’s the closest he has to a resident evil character. Best player in the troupe and is just waiting for the day Leon Kennedy can slime out Mario in green hill zone
Sam: This mother fucker has become one with the kong, maining DK since the 64. He fucking sucks at the game and blames all his loses on luck instead of the fact he spams side b and has zero idea how to use his recovery when falling off the stage

So basically I ship my self insert with Sir Galahad from Monty Python and the holy grail. I NEED PPL TO TALK ABOUT IT SO HERE!!!!
Okay so my self insert is named rose and she is just a girl. She is the father of a powerful lord and her mother died in childbirth with her so her father hates her guts and isolates her for all her life. She always dreamed about being a knight drew pretty knight girls often as a kid. she was watched by a nurse who became her mother figure, but her father ousted her out on Rose’s 13th birthday.
Galahad was appointed as her knight when they were both 17, after the tragic death of her old knight. Rose’s dad picked because he was the least manly of the knights and he was a reject like rose. He is so akward but he is a total sweetheart, that why they call him Galahad the Pure.
They fell so in love when they first met, at last they finally found someone who understood eachother. (He actually was the first person to care for her after her nurse was forced out of her role.)
It took awhile but they started to secretly date and sneaking out to the garden at night and being all cute and shit. Rose was the most beautiful thing Galahad ever saw, I don’t think he’s really understanding that he is dating someone he deems so angel like. They both comfort eachother from thier anxiety and fears, Galahad was the only person who didn’t give rose the silent treatment when her father demanded it.
Rose’s father arranged a marriage between her and Gavin, the cousin of Guinevere, on Rose’s 18th birthday. Gavin was 10 years older then her, killed his previous lover, and was verbally and emotionally abusive to rose. The night before the wedding, Galahad and Rose met one last time in the garden, Galahad promising rose he’d save her from the marriage. Galahad ended up objecting the wedding as the two ran away to elope, Rose’s father disowned his daughter after the event.
So they got married (yay!!!) and moved into a small village for the next year and a half, protecting it as the village knights. Then came King Arthur, who appointed Galahad as a knight of the round table, be he said he wouldn’t go if his wife couldnt go. Rose was able to impress Arthur and was appointed as the only female knight of the round table.
Rose was able to hold her own in the quest for the holy grail, being a swift and agile fighter, while still being elegant. Galahad and Rose were unable to be separated during the quest, being so madly in love.
When they lost eachother in castle anthrax, they both crashed the hell out. Rose got all anxious because of her being alone and ptsd from her childhood (as well as thinking Galahad was cheating with Zoot) and Galahad just wanted his wife and faked being chaste in order to ward off the maIdens advances. They end up finding eachother and Galahad comforts Rose during her panic attack.
Rose also ends up befriending the killer rabbit, who ends becoming her animal companion.
After the Grail quest, Rose and Galahad return to the status quo, being village knights. But they also have a child after the grail quest, a frail and starey eyed boy named Nero, who dreams to be a knight himself.
This is all the holy grail canon, I’ll talk about Spamalot Galarose in another post

this started cause I’m a huge Monty Python fan and need someone to talk about how Always Look On The Bright side of life was a top 10 hit in late 1991 due to a BBC radio show. But I found that the uk charts are way diffrent then billboard, focusing more on streaming (which is how Beauty and the Beat is currently at number 3). I have two more well know exaples of weirdness. Mr blobby was number one at Christmas (the biggest time for the charts) and Bob the builder Mambo number 5 was number one during 9/11.
