If you wanna get better at art forget art school..

For context, In school I was the worst person in my extension art class. My first grade was a C and everyone around me was 10 times better at art. I felt like a failure and my teacher thought I had depression. I ended up dropping out of art so I was desperate to find a way to improve my art.
Then I realised webtoon creators drastically improved their art not even 6 months in and I decided to start a webtoon while I was in the middle of my exam period during school in my final year (I'm kinda dumb). This is the drawing of my OC for the very first time and one I did a year later. As you can tell my theory was so correct, and I haven't seen a single tutorial in 2 years for art.
Here's my tiktok where I'll be posting stuff about it soon! You're free to dm me there on any extra tips or help or possibly even be friends!

Feel free to ask what I did to improve below in the comments and why I'm suggesting this and here's my webtoon for those interested in seeing that progress! https://www.webtoons.com/en/canvas/peak-voltage-/list?title_no=969477

If you like a webtoon with secret identities and secrets between MC's...

I have a webtoon that's almost ended its season 1 it's mystery/crime/supernatural and I felt like sharing it since I don't find webtoons like this anymore. Feel free to drop down any recommendations if I'm wrong though!
If you'd like a peep here's my webcomic it's called peak voltage and it's about Volt keeping the secret that he has electrical powers from his new friend who's trying to hunt down the organisation who gave him those powers.. and she doesn't know a thing... https://www.webtoons.com/en/canvas/peak-voltage-/list?title_no=969477&page=2

Trying to find some collabs with other creators! Feel free to reply to this post even if you aren't eligible to collab with me to try find others within your genre to collab with.

It can be new or old just make sure its currently active/hiatus no longer than 30 days. Make sure you have at least 40 subscribers. Just give a reply or dm me if you're interested! Share your OC's that have disabilities!

My OC's name is Volt and he can manipulate electricity! Because of that though he has total monocularity which is 100% blindness in one eye! His vision is impaired so he relies on hearing to make up for the fact he can't see well on his right side, and the effects of Monocularity are actually explored within my comic in an episode such as shaky and delayed movements. Awareness means a lot to me as I know people within my own life who have monocularity so I felt like incorporating it within my comic! If you wanna check it out heres the link! Peak Voltage!

Webtoon: a bunch of corporate whales trying to kill the canvas section

I heard lots of creators have staggered their viewership. This new update was basically baiting canvas creators pretending their new dashboard and everything blah blah would help them when actually it looks like they're trying to replace the canvas content with originals. ALL the recommendations are literally originals and they removed SO many sections for visibility for smaller comics. They are obviously using AI for the algorithm and you can tell because its not going very well.
I usually get one subscriber per update which I'm happy with but it seems like my views have dropped and I've got no subs coming in. I've heard some comics getting 0 with over 500 subs. It looks like we're all forced to just self promote on other platforms which is VERY difficult as I've heard from other people. I might just switch platforms because its just corporate exploitation atp.

When people ask stupid questions

Found a comic sequence I made when I was a kid... still holds up to this day for me lol. I make sure to add comedy here and there in my latest comics to never forget my roots.

I had done some previous drawings where I had turned objects into what I would imagine as humans and thought I should share them on the internet to see how people respond to it!
Heres my glorious interpretations of buldak and indomie noodles. I just started a new page for my art and I would appreciate any support :) Link!

▲ 1 r/scifi

I'm writing a webtoon that has heavy sci fi elements but I actually don't read any webcomics that are in the genre because all I do is watch sci fi movies usually so I was looking for some recommendations to try get a grip on what other sci fi comics are like. I just don't want to waste my time looking and realise halfway its boring. P.S if you're interested in mine its called Peak Voltage :)) https://www.webtoons.com/en/canvas/peak-voltage-/list?title_no=969477&page=2

My dad told me he wouldn't let me buy a new drawing tablet unless I actually start getting readers on my webtoon he said I need to start advertising or apparently "what I'm doing is a waste of time". So I decided to start an instagram account to post my art and hopefully share my webtoon on it later.
Here's my socials and I'd much appreciate any support but here's what I decided to post in the meantime!
