What's something you miss about an older version of Singapore that doesn't exist anymore?

Every city changes and loses things along the way. Curious what resonates with people who have been there long enough to notice the difference. What's gone that you genuinely wish was still around?

Has anyone here come out the other side of a really dark period and actually feel okay now?

Not looking for advice or resources. Just honest stories from people who have been through it and made it through. Sometimes that's the only thing that actually helps someone who is in the middle of it right now

What's the most valuable thing you gained from uni that had nothing to do with your degree?

The friendships, the failures, the random skill you picked up, the experience that shaped how you think. Sometimes the real education happens completely outside the lecture hall

What's a part of KL that you have a soft spot for even if it's not considered "nice"?

The areas that aren't on any best of list but mean something to you personally. The ones with character that fancy developments can never really replace. Where is it and what makes it yours?

What was the moment you realised your workplace was actually toxic and not just "challenging"?

There's a fine line and a lot of us cross it without noticing until we're deep in it. Was there a specific moment that made it click? How long did it take you to finally do something about it?

What's the most Malaysian conversation you've ever overheard in public?

You know the type. Three languages in one sentence, talking about food while solving someone's life problems, or two strangers becoming best friends over a shared complaint about parking. Drop the best ones

Not the Instagram answer. The real one. What does stress actually look like in your daily life there and what genuinely helps you decompress, not what's supposed to help but what actually does

Not the academic stuff. The real things. The offhand comment during a lecture, the advice after class, the thing they said that had nothing to do with the syllabus but everything to do with life

Not just the famous ones everyone knows. The ones your parents or grandparents said that you dismissed at the time but turned out to be genuinely true. Drop it with the meaning if it needs one

Mine is always order the simplest thing on the menu first. If they can't do the basic well, the fancier stuff won't save them. What's your method for judging whether a place is actually worth going back to?

Not looking for the newest trending place. The one you've been going to for years, the one that's just consistently good without needing to reinvent itself. What keeps you coming back?

Could be finally getting that annoying sound fixed, finding a mechanic you actually trust, or just a really clean tank full on a long drive. Not everything has to be a complaint . Share something good for once

Stayed 4 years at my first company, got 5% increment each year. Friend job hopped twice in the same period and doubled his salary. I don't regret the experience I gained but the math is hard to argue with. What's your take, does staying actually pay off or are we just telling ourselves it does?
