Today's automotive listening

I'm actually pretty sure that this disc is an Eastern European counterfeit, but I spent so many years looking for a "real" copy in the wild with no luck, that I'm OK with that.

Today's automotive listening

3CD compilation from 2014. 2 discs of Ramones members solo or moonlighting with other acts, and 1 disc of oldies that were covered by the boys. A fun listen all around, possibly the best volume in this series of budget line compilations.

TIL that copies of Metallica's "St. Anger" CD contained a trailer for "Damage Inc.," a Metallica themed video game that was cancelled before its planned 2005 release.

"Sooper Goop" (1976 classroom film)

Please tell me I'm not the only one who remembers this witty classroom film that taught kids about misleading advertising. The jingle for the fictional "Sooper Goop" cereal has lived rent free in my head for damn near 50 years.

Random thrift store find today: Anthony Gomes, "Praise The Loud" (2025)

Anyone familiar with this artist/album? I wasn't, but it turned out to be some pretty cool, raunchy blues rock.

The main reason it caught my eye was because it was released by RatPak Records, home of Metal Church and past solo efforts by Todd La Torre (Queensryche) and Michael Sweet (Stryper). Not bad for a blind buy!

Released 30 years ago today: Metallica's "LOAD," One of the most divisive releases in their catalog.

Their old school thrash fans hated it and cried "Sell Out!" but newer fans who'd cut their teeth on the Black Album embraced it. What are your thoughts on this one?

Listening to Ratt's "Infestation" in the car today.

Pretty damn good comeback album. Too bad the band couldn't keep their shit together long enough to follow it up.

Released on this date in 1997: Misfits, "American Psycho"

Their first new album in almost 15 years, first for a major label, and first with new vocalist Michale Graves.

What happened to my uploaded albums in my library?

As of this morning, I cannot access any of the albums I've uploaded to my account from my own personal collection. It's not even allowing me to choose "uploads" in my library.

Is the app having issues? I have almost my entire CD collection ripped and saved to that library (1200+ albums).

The only thing I use YT Music for is to listen to my own collection. If that's gone, I am going to be SUPER pissed.

My former coworker turned Q-Cumber has been posting stuff like this all week due to the Hantavirus-on-a-cruise-ship news.
