New player starting

Hello, in my research for a new home MMO, I've been looking into LOTRO. I've read here that multiboxing is allowed as long as I automate nothing, except the follow option.

When I used to play Lineage 2, I was using what we then called "buffbots", who were characters I logged into the game whose whole purpose was to follow my main and buff. Sometimes I used alt/tab to make them hit also and handle 2 accounts at once. Especially now that I have multiple screens.

I wanted to know if it's even doable here, since there seem to be a lot of skills. Is the combat fast paced ? (I plan on playing Guardian, and if I can, a captain or minstrel as follower).

How useful is such a practice in this game ? Does having a buffer make things significantly easier or not ?

Thanks for your read 🙂

Guardian Strength vs Agility

Hi everyone !
I'm playing a stalwart guardian on an adaptation of Strahd. I love the idea of beeing the tank of the group and protecting my friends. My group is comprised of me, a battlemage wizard and a warden of renewal druid.

I was wondering how would an agility guardian work exactly ? I've always found swords cooler than maces, for instance, and would love to use them. But I fear having low strength could be detrimental to me pushing ennemies away from my friends.

Currently we are lvl 2. My DM allowed me to move traits points around once, because I alocated them wrong the first time and put too much in instinct. I can't decide between agility and strength. Please help me !

Update: thanks a lot everyone, he accepted to reflavor the mace :)
I think Instinct or Agilityvwill be my secondary stat :)

Looking for a protection / support class

Hello guys ! Returning player here.

I am not competitive whatsoever, but I'd like to be. I played extensively guardian and ranger. I am now looking for a class that can take a hit, add support to the group, or could dish it. Not all 3 at the same time of course, but build diversity could be nice.

I like when the class offers some challenge. If I have to press 3 buttons every minute I'm going to get bored very quickly. On the other end, if I have to press 25 buttons per second to deal a semi-decent amount of damage, that might be too intense for me.

I was looking at Guardian, Ele or Warrior so far. The paragon, spellbreaker, guardian or weaver theme speaks to me, for some kind of warrior who uses a little magic.

What would you guys recommend ? Class theme and lore is important to me. I'm looking for stuff that you don't find on the wiki.

Dhuum LDOA on a warrior in pre

Has it been done ? Did anyone manage ? I'm thinking of taking on the challenge.

EDIT: just to clarify, I have no problem with the fact that it has been done, on the contrary, it shows me it's possible :D

Where to find furs as a melandru accord character ?

Hey everyone !

I'm trying to craft the norn armor. For that, I need 35 fur squares. It's not a lot, but I can't, for the life of me, find any, anywhere.

Character is from NF, currently in eotn. I grinded the reputation to norn 5, got enough of everything else.

I tried to farm the ebon vanguard quest where you defend against waves of modniir and shiverpeak centaurs, but when I expert salvage the manes and furs, I only ever get tanned leather squares. Plus it's pretty dangerous for a simple paragon, and I'd like to keep dhuum too.

Does anybody have a better way ?

Thanks in advance !

First gold loot on a melandru accord character feels so good

On top of that, it's a very good looking sword

I'm in need of some help

Hello everyone :)

Not a big player or anything, pretty casual actually. I discovered Paragon and fell in love with it.

The character is only level 10, and has melandru accord, which make it quite complicated since I don't have much heroes, and those I have have absolutely no skill whatsoever. But the drip on the armor is so strong that I need it :D

I'm trying to unlock the norn armor on this character, ranking him up to 5 in the title track. I managed to get to olafstead already. I'd like to know if some nice soul would be willing to help me up the rank. I don't have much to offer, but what little I can give will be yours, of course, and anything that loots is yours by right !

Found a way to hide the noble origin occular implant

Hey everyone ! I hope you're doing well.

It's an issue a lot of us drippers have with this particular origin outfit : the occular implant won't go away even if we hide the base outfit helmet.

Toying with redress, I am happy to announce that I found a solution.
It's a 3 part solutions. I only tested on a male character.

First, do not use the origin outfit section to wear it. Do it in the include section.
Second, add
- EE_GoggleBalefulEye1_AbelardOnly_M_HM
- EE_GoggleCassia_F_HM

Third, enjoy

The Cassia one will replace the one from the noble outfit, and then the AbelardOnly will replace cassia's textures and just be invisible.

I added the whole of the stuff I use in redress for the people who like the outfit, its colors can me changed in most places, except the brown vest.

AIO for not hooking up with students ?

Hello everyone, first AIO here.

I (36yo male - 28 at the time of the event) am a teacher in a college in Europe that I won't name. On my first year of teaching, a student (20yo female) sent me an email around the end of the semester.
I will translate as close as I can, but I'm not english native, and the mail was written in another language.

"Sir,
I have eagerly followed every one of your classes this semester and wanted to offer you a coffee next weekend to discuss stuff with you and show you how much I want to succeed 😉

Best regards,
student".
(yes, the winky smiley was in there)

The wording threw me off at first, I try to be distant from the students, but maybe I was too friendly with her ? In this college, teachers drinking coffee with student happens. I also teach in tech, so we're all very young~ish. But then, I thought, no, I don't want any mixed signal or anything.
In every one of my student groups, without naming anyone, I announced that I won't go out of campus with any students and that I don't want any offers of anything gift related or anything before the semester ends and grades have been set. I then went to the principal (40yo female) and explained the situation. She told me that it happens, and every teacher has "reaped the benefit of teaching" at some point or another, I just have to be discreet.

I was shocked to hear that, and told her that I don't want to "reap" anything, and I don't find it appropriate. She laughed it out, told me maybe I was too nice to her and she got confused or something. and sent me off.

It took me some time to process what just happened. I was new and didn't want to make any waves, so I dropped it. It never happened since.

Now to this year, I went up the ladder and am now coordinating a whole section of the school. A colleague I am responsible of flirted with one of their own student and it bringed me back to this situation. I told him it's not OK for teacher to flirt or have any kind of special relationship with students, and they just answered "she's 18, it's ok". I don't think it's OK because we are their teachers, we have a hierarchical ascendent on them. We are also grading them and we need to stay as neutral and unbiased as possible.

AIO ? Am I too stuck up ?

Hello guys, I am in a pickle. I don't know what to decide to gear my SoB with. I think I'm going combi weapon on the superior, but for the others I can't decide between heavy Flamer / flamer or heavy Bolter / bolter.

What do you guys recommend ?

I already have the combat patrol with arbites, inquisitor retinue, priest and assassin

Update: I finally decided for flamer. The option is right there on the box, combi, Hflamer and flamer, and it'll be an anti-infantry unit
