These just make me smile!! 🙂

A woman called and asked me to make her 2 dozen cookies so she can pull one out of the freezer when she wants one. She didn’t care regarding the design. Here in Ohio it’s been raining and storming off and on for several days. Figured these happy themed cookies would be good to perk me up.

Buttercream sugar cookies. Story book theme for a baby shower

I wish buttercream could have the same ability to get details on cookie designs as royal icing does.

Tired of the comparison to a TKR

58 (f). Will be having TRHR in September. Then a TLHR in December. It’s really astonishing how people dismiss you and your daily pain when you tell them what you are having done. I am sure a total knee replacement is hell and not enjoyable but when they tell me a hip replacement is soooooo much easier and you’ll be back to normal in no time …well I want to throat punch them for some reason. I’ve seen people do great on knee replacements. Same with hips. And then I’ve seen the sad and difficult side of them being on the medical field.

How do you respectfully handle that?

Lit match feeling after pinning GHK-cu

Dear Lord it hurts like a mother F’er. I’ve been pinning 1 mg GHK-cu. This is my second round. I tried my abdomen, my hips, my glutes. I’ve diluted it. I let it come to room temperature. I pin before bed. About every 5-6 days I’ll wake up an hour later with an increase burning sensation (like several layers more than the normal burn you get). It feels like someone has a lot match an inch under and over my skin. Nothing I do takes it down a few notches so I can get some sleep. Interestingly, my pain tolerance is high. I have also tried arnica, ice packs and being sure I rotate. What can I do that o haven’t already tried? It’s absolutely not something I can continue doing if my sleep is messed up. Would pinning in morning be better? Never had this happen with the last vial. (I Pin 1 mg per day drawing 20 units using xtra bac from hospira)
Appreciate any wisdom, advice, suggestions you may have.

Well, it is scheduled …

I am scheduled for a total right hip replacement in September. I am a fairly active 50-year-old female who has been married for over 30 years. I have a few questions if anybody is open to answer.

  1. How soon after surgery is sex appropriate/safe? Any precautions or: positions to avoid etc

  2. What kind of things can I do to help prepare for this surgery? I want to get stronger for sure. I am at an appropriate weight but because of an inability to move, I’ve definitely lost muscle strength.

Thanks for any help you may be able to give me.

Update from bilateral hip injections. https://www.reddit.com/r/TotalHipReplacement/s/rt4gCHfWOF

So the injections helped. Had my appointment with the surgeon Monday. I am scheduled for TRHR September 10. And my TLHR December 17. Main concern in my lower back which was injured in the fall. I’m hoping I’m taking care of the main problem first. Interestingly, on the MRI, due to the fall my right hip is higher than the left which caused my right leg to be shorter. I believe they will address that during the surgery. Waiting is not my strength. But I will try to be patient.

My question: what things helped you the most to get physically and mentally ready? I’m (f) late 50’s, normal weight. Not as fit due to pain with activity last 5 years.
Thanks so much!

Husband now taking TRT but doctor ordered IM needles not insulin

Husband 60 (m). I have some
Questions as he is not on Reddit.

  1. We want to inject SC not IM. What is an appropriate needle size for this as I know it’s a thicker fluid to draw up. I’ll be ordering online once I hear from you experts.

  2. To draw up Testosterone (very thick) with an insulin needle, is it difficult?

  3. Which areas is best for injecting? I’ll likely do it until he feels comfortable.

  4. Once you started testosterone, what top benefits did you see? Any side effects?

Thanks for helping girl out!

Anyone tried Stem cell therapy with good results?

I have a torn labrum (right) as well as cysts that formed and bursitis. Did PT and no relief with pain. Got an MRI and that’s when they saw the tear and cysts/bursitis. Just wondering if that is even an alternative to a THR? I am a 52 yo Female. Very active but unfortunately now I can do much due to the pain. Thanks.

Asking for my husband (59)about different types of TRT and subQ vs IM.

He started out with pellets but the highs and lows aren’t good for him. The pellet site has also become extremely sore with some sticking out and it catches his belt line. Switched to another site and that’s worse.

Questions:

  1. Cyp vs prop?

  2. SubQ vs IM

He is in good health but does have Peyronie’s dx which is not fun for him.

Thanks for all input.

Which cruise line?

My spouse and I have always cruised RC. Are there any other cruise lines that are a notch or two better?? We are looking at a 7 day/night cruise to st. Marten and other islands close by. Cruise out of Miami or Fort Lauderdale. Food and entertainment important to us. We are early 60’s. Any thoughts or opinions?

Bilateral hip labrum tear from accident

Not asking for medical advice rather suggestions on how to heal/lessen the pain. I’ve gained 15 pounds as I cannot be as active. Am looking into peptides for relief. Considering trizepitide at a very low dose for inflammation and also help with the weight. Any suggestions?

Lustriva/ hair supplement suggestion

I’ve been taking the Mary Ruth‘s hair max multivitamin for nine months. I’m looking to try something with lustriva or even just taking lustriva alone. Does anyone have any recommendations of these type of supplements that have actually helped you? But don’t cost an arm and a leg?

I am post menopausal, I do not dye my hair. Did go through TE 5 years ago but my hair never made a comeback unfortunately. Any other suggestions, tips or sources would be welcomed. I’m pretty depressed about it.
