Me and a riding buddy decided to head to ReiseMoto store in Andheri West..both were looking for gloves (I was tempted to pick up an Airoh Connor) and ended up with this for the next short ride

Was super tempted to pick up then Airoh Commander 2 in carbon but held off as I might have someone travel soon to Thailand and might pick up an Alpinestar.

About the store it’s pretty well stocked saw stuff from Maddog and a few great riding boots from Hanleh and even the Raida Trailcraft I am not going to lie is one of the best adventure/trail riding shoes under 20k.

Store staff is super courteous and the discounts they give are over and above the sale price so that alone makes it worth visiting.

Lucy is in the able hands of my riding buddy as he awaits his Himi 450 but she looked rather hot today. The Tappet noise has gone completely but a tensioner change will make her as good as new.

So it’s been a while I posted here so I thought it would be a good time to give you guys an update now that I own the bike for over 6 months and what a pleasure she has been.

So I made a few changes to the look to suit its street aesthetics -

Performance -

Velocity stack for the BMC Air filter for the RE Himalayan 411/440 as suggested by Ben (On Two Wheels Ben on YouTube )

Sintered brakes front and rear from Crank1

Zedling rear suspension (yes yes I had it on earlier but there was a bit of a snafu with it that got solved and was used to mend many other suspensions with a quick service at their Nasik plant, great company and products, terrible communication and CS) see last image for the “Rise”.

The tappet noise has started to creep in - it’s an old characteristic of the Himalayan 411 and as per the SC is an issue that well documented but never fixed even when they launched 2 new platforms on the 440cc engines. A quick swing by at my fav garage - LMT in Borivali, was a quick job and voila no more tappet noise.

All other liquids are holding steady, tires are aging nicely and will serve me a lot more now that the scram is city use only hence got rid of the tall windscreen and in the process of getting rid of the C3 and just adding a Mobile mount instead.

One commendable thing is how well the seat has aged - Sahara Seats is top notch and worth every penny - got my KTM touring seat made by them too, super comfy and super durable, can’t be happier.

Fuel X Pro Plus is a must with the BMC air filter and Full system exhaust (Red Rooster) and it eliminates every issue I had with the stock setup.

So far super happy and content (which is scarce for me)

So after playing around a lot with the internals, the wrap ideas, the guard configs, the suspension I finally settled on this setup (still missing a few pieces but we get to it slowly)

So I have been working behind the scenes on an All India Event to showcase EDC and organise a meet up in major cities where enthusiasts and vendors can meet, set up and even trade their EDC wares.

As a Mumbai local, my first choice for such an event would be my home town and I am excited to announce we will have our first Sync-Up as early as Mid November right here in Mumbai..dates and venue coming up soon..

This will be a free 2 day event with no entry fee for participants and any or all proceeds from Patch sales will go towards a charity of choice - 3 charities will be listed for you to choose from (yes you can grab a limited run patch exclusive to the event when you visit, we will make one for every city we go to..limited 2 per person) and vendors will have to pay a negligible fee that will go directly to the location..

There will be a trade section for eligible goods to be traded - a list of which will come soon when the official post goes live sometime in the mid of September.

I am open to suggestions from the community and vendors can reach out to register interest. We will try to run two workshops that day for interested individuals - a knife sharpening Masterclass and a Bag care and storage class run by yours truly.

Event will be covered for the OneTakeEDC and participating vendors and will be available on all creator platforms of Mods.

Event will be pet friendly and is open to age group 18 and above.

My top picks -

CT3 Neo - Excellent small carry for a minimal setup - has organisation for a day out (check out my vid for more reference)

CT5 Neo - A larger carry capacity perfect for everything the CT3 Neo can do plus a larger secondary pocket for an ipad mini or a compact DSLR and a water bottle holder/tripod pocket in the bottom.

CT14 Plus - An overall EDC Powerhouse of a back pack - does it all without breaking a sweat and is made of great light fabric that can take a beating while staying breathable in our climate. My most recommended product in the line up.

CT21 Plus - Travel pro max value carry now in two new fabrics..

CT10 - A jack of all trade, backpack/sling carry that is versatile and compact, perfect to for day trips/hikes/rides and jsut general day out if u need something larger to work with, fits upto 14 inch laptops and i would suggest adding a CT Office or Admin Panel for optimum use. One of my fav products they make.

Admin Insert Gear - A Easy pick for the CT3/5 Neo and the CT14 Plus for organisation - has been much ignored but people quickly realise its utility and order it in the next one (better late than never).

Maybe's -

CT Messenger 14 - A hit and miss for me, reminds me of my school bag back in the 90's but is made well, if you can look past the tactical front, the internal organisation is well thought out.

CT Urban Bag - A sleeper release that is not up everyones alley if you feel the CT10 is too tactical for you but you need a similar size or literage, this is the bad go you, although the straps are questionable but absolutely servicable - my wife uses this bag as her daily carry to work (follow me on OnetakeEDC on instagram to see the couple carry setup)

Story time - So when I got into the hobby, I was overwhelmed by a lot of bags and brands but coming from a Doughnut (yes the brand was called that and it was from HK) i wanted more complex materials than the one I had, X-Pac was all the buzz back then and then I found out about Evergoods and this collab, I had already gotten the CTB26 from HK and wanted to get my second Evergoods for office use and this one showed up on FB Marketplace while I was in Vancouver, 300 CAD later i was a proud of what would be a long journey of coming back to this beast.

I am united with it after 1 year as a friend pulled out of storage and had a relative carry it all the way here.

The Evergoods X Carryology Collab CPL24 "Pheonix" is a workhorse for sure.
