Recommendations for a muay thai gym in Pattaya / Jomtien?

I can only imagine incoming comments, but still giving it a try lmao

Before you get into the ploy exercises, I am W (biological) coming to Jomtien to escape rainy season where I am now, for 3 months. Jomtien seems to have similar vibe to my current place, and is close to Bkk.

So no ploys and ladyboys, not my genital and looks preference. But yes to a good gym for regular work out and morning muay thai classes.

Counting on the area bros who exercise in the day to have the stamina for the night.

Thank you for kind recommendations.

Good quality lean and minced beef - where to find?

Could anyone recommend a good place to get lean beef for steaks, and minced beef?

I don’t eat beef frequently or cook at home at all, but as of recently really feel like I wanna have it once or twice a week.
Don’t know where to find a good one, if anyone could recommend.

Thank you!

Storage untis in Da Nang?

Might go away for a few months during the rainy season, so I am looking for a place to leave a few boxes. Just personal and home stuff, no furniture, nothing too large.

Need a safe and secure place - no rats, no floods, no bugs and other insects to crawl in, no mold. And ofc, to be there when I am back.

Thank you!

Recommendation for short term rentals?

I am looking to go to Hua Hin for a couple of months, and looking for a short term rental, up to 2 months or so.

Saw online I could find a small condo outside of the center for 10-12k baht a month.

My budget would ideally be 7-10k month.

Could anyone recommend a place / platform where I could find these short term rentals?

Thanks.

What is a good spot in Thailand now?

I am thinking of changing places, and going back to Thailand is a consideration, but not sure what would be a good spot.

I am currently in Da Nang, so something that vibe, but not sure where that would be:

- A mix of a city/town with a beach

- Not a party spot

- Good place for gyms and different types of work out

Spent a year in Phuket, but dont think I wanna go back there as it's very expensive to be there - unless, there is a place that still has good cost of living?

Someone needs to start a new Shein-like online seller but with old pricing

Just checked my cart and the prices went 3-4x up. The total went 3x up Nothing changed. Whoever came up with this new pricing system is extremely dumb (hope you read this whoever you are) if they think it's gonna fly for a long time, and that we will continue buying with these dynamic pricing. We just gonna end up closing accounts and going to other platforms.

The pricing of some things is similar to shops, so why buy on Shein and hope for the best regarding quality and sizing.

And the dynamic pricing is so annoying and disengaging.

police home checks

Heard from the landlord that the police may come to check my apartment. Friend told me he also heard the same, checking for registrations.

Is it only that, or are they enforcing in Da Nang the same trend as in HCMC with urine tests and whatnot?

Edema dry brushing and other methods - total newbie here, and just learning about different options.

I've been struggling with mild edema my whole life. I would fluff up, my calves would double up, my stomach, legs....

When I started GLP1, it really helped with managing.

However, I also recently learned I have thyro issues.

Recently, I went for a trip, came back, had some fast food, and the response was... like I've never seen it before: my face deformed, went 10kg up on the scale (not joking), my stomach, thighs... everything lost shape. I could barely walk, it was difficult and my legs were hurting. Couldnt squat or bend my legs, as the skin would get so tight. Whenever I would touch my skin, it hurt how full and bloated it was.

Have never had a flare up like this, can probably thank my thyroid for it.

The doctor was absolutely useless telling me "it happens to the women, you know". Nothing more to add here.

So I started researching, found the RAD diet, ordered compression socks to try them out.

Also, learned about dry brushing - so I am curious, does it really help anyhow? Is it worth it?

Does anyone do any exercises before bed to help with managing?

Any other methods, tools, routines that can help manage the fluid - better said, what I can do at home as a form of lymphatric drainage?

I currently dont have access to a good therapist to go for a manual one, nor can buy those pressotherapy pants.

Would highly appreciate any tips and tricks you can share. Thank you!

Thyroid & Edema - how bad can it get? Also, my hashi diagnosis depends on the dr. Help.

I am not sure if I have Hashi or no, it depends on the doctor I visit. So I am gonna live like I do.

But what really worries me is the fluid retention x hashi - does it get really this bad?

---

In May, I did general check up I do here and then and found out I have my antiTG at over 4000. While TSH, fT3, fT4, antiTPO - all normal.

My dr 1 (been his patient 10+ years) concludes I have Hashi.

Implement strict structure: every day gym, no gluten, no diary, clean food, high protein, nuts.

-

I fly back home in June.

Repeat all the results there, and add PTH - my thyroid perfect. AntiTG in the range. Blood says no hashi.
An endo does ultrasound - have a knot and some cysts. Nothing alarming, to monitor.
Endo concludes no hashi.

Come back to Asia.

-

Spent the weekend netlix & chill, a bit overwhelmed with life and everything, just wanted to relax - had pizza, fast food, snacks, sweets, etc.
- I wake up next day, my face swollen, specially on the left side;
- The day after - experiencing heavy edema. I am generally prone to fluid retention, but not to this extent.
- Day 4 - face is less swollen, but rest of my body not really. My skin feels too tight to even walk. Scale shows I put on almost 10kgs (in 2.5 weeks, impossible; I was 65kg/178cm on June 22nd - today at 76kg).

Go to the doctor - she examines; also did the ultrasound of my neck, as I felt enlarged lymph nodes --- nodes clear, according to her and the thyro ultrasound - I have hashi.

She told me the excess fluid is due to stress, and maybe this, maybe that, etc. "And you know, it happens to women" useless diagnosis. Overall, extremely poor assessment by the doctor.

I dont know what to think, but I probably do have hashis.

> Could this be a flare up?

> Has anyone experienced something like this?

> Anyone has edema from before, and now it got even worse with hashi?

> I am assuming this could be a response to gluten and high sodium in the fast food, but to this extent?

I am looking for other people's experiences who lives with edema and hashi. Or if anyone has any experience that may be relevant to mine. I just need to get this fluid out, and try and figure out so it doesnt happen again. Thank you.

Where to start? First-time here and totally confused.

Hi all,

I've been following microneedling subs for a while, it's an amazing source of information, but also so overwhelming.

I found myself about to buy a device thinking I know something, and realized I know nothing.

I live in a place where it's not really easy to get the equipment so I need to pre-order when I am traveling to the neighboring country.

- for three months, how many needles do I get as a complete beginner who wants to start slowly and build up? my biggest issues are the large pores on cheeks, and wrinkles on my forehead.

- what do I need to get? I see posts where hiyalorunic is good but then it's bad...?

- yes to post-skincare, but also a no....?

- Dermapen or Dr. Pen?

- how to even do it at home, any videos that are really good for a total noob.

Hoping to meet a total beginner to exchange notes lol

And especially grateful for someone's who's been doing it and can share experiences!

Good tattoo spot in Bkk?

Looking for a good tattoo spot in Bkk? But a proper one, not the commercial one made for tourists, as I’ve been seeing those mostly.

Thank youuuuu

Can I bring home food with me on the plane? Please urgent

I am flying to Bangkok to go to Europe. Tonight.

I prepared some food to bring, chicken rice paper roll.

I have some food restrictions and specifics what I can or cannot eat so it’s the safest option for me than to buy airport food.

Will that be a problem? I have a valid DTV visa, and my flight to Dubai (transit to Europe) 8 hours after I land.

I am carrying it in a lunch bag with freezer gels to keep it cool.

It’s literally a “chicken sandwich”, no sauces, just grilled chicken with salt in a rice paper.

Has anyone had any issues, will this be ok?

The trip is whole day tomorrow so I don’t have many options.

Thank you

Hashi x Mounjaro & Flare Ups

I just recently discovered I have Hashi, and while I am coping with this discovery, I've been reading a lot here and on google about Hashi, triggers, and other people's experiences.

Read here that MJR has helped many lose and control the weight.

I started MJR in December for weight loss, and been on regular doses for about 3.5 months, currently microdosing.

I am curious to ask if anyone experienced flare ups when eating less?

To be clear, I am not asking if MJR is triggering flareups, rather is the appetite surpression = less food intake, can trigger flare ups? And if anyone experienced this?

I started micordosing as I've lost enough for now, and had too much of hairloss, so decided to prioritize hair recovery and strenght. I microdose to keep the food noise away and some other stuff, while being able to eat normal meals.

As I am very new to Hashi and understanding what it does to my body, I am trying out different stuff.

For months, sometimes I would wake up with one side of my face so puffy that my face would look deformed. I didnt know the reason for that, until I was diagnosed with Hashi. Now, I know that's the reason, but I didnt track potential triggers during that time as I thought something else was the reason.

Since diagnosed, did the usual:

- "removed" dairy, but I would eat only feta occassionally anyways, so don't think that has too much impact. Not a cheese / milk so I havent been eating much of this anyways;
- gluten too, but I don't eat bread or pastries in general and especially not during regular MJR dosing, so dont really see any difference here;

What I think I am noticing tho is waking up less puffy or not at all since I started eating regulary. Focus on whole foods, and started eating animal protein again (chicken, salmon).

So, I am curious to see if anyone had similar experince - lack of nutrients / food triggering these flare ups?

-----

If anyone's wondering why I got on MJR in the first place, have been having ED since childhood, and my eating has been fckd since forever. Got fat from processed food and snacks. But that's not the point of this post, but to avoid random comments. Funny part, I dont get the puffy face when I eat fast food or snacks.

Looking for Botox recommendations from lovely people of Bangkok.

My forehead and crows feet need some loooove in a form of needles with botox 🤣

I’ve been looking online for places with best reviews, BUT always a problem they are not really genuine…. Checked reddit but rather found botox tips not as many recommendations for where to go.

Looking for a place that won’t give me too much botox, rather just the right amount I need; and a doctor who really cares how you leave their office. Name of the doctor as well so I know who to ask for.

I had a great experience back home, a dr who saw his work as his art; but very far now and won’t be going any time soon, and my wrinkles are getting deeper.

If you could also share the prices, would be great, thank you!

These are specs for a red light panel. Is it any good?

Seems like the bulb count is pretty low?

  • Red Light : 630-660nm
  • Near Infrared : 810-850nm
  • 60 High-Efficiency LED Lights
  • Features: Integrated Table Legs
  • Dimensions:  31 x 23 x 6.5cm
  • Power:  300W
  • Price: $340

Would use it for face, hair - these two the most important; neck, chest area, and just about anything.

I dont have many options here in Asia.

Please help me understand if these panel specs are good!

Thank you!
