Loki’s got surgery on Tuesday, today we tried on the soft cone I got to make sure it fits. It does, but I think I need to sleep with one eye open tonight.

If you're curious why, he's got an infection of the bone on his back right heel that isn't healing, despite all the effort we've put into treating it.

We saw a specialist for the issue yesterday and, after looking at Loki's leg and his records, the vet described the issue as "end-stage". There were multiple things wrong with the leg but most notably, the heel bone had degraded to the point that the achilles tendon no longer attached to anything. The vet described the leg as useless at this point and said Loki is already functionally a tripod. He also said it's highly unlikely the heel will ever fully heal.

So basically, Loki's leg does nothing but cause him pain and harbor a treatment-resistant infection.

As such, the vet recommended amputation. After talking it over with him more, I agree that this is the best treatment option, as scary as it is.

I'm very very nervous, but a small part of me also a little relieved? It's nice to finally see a light at the end of the tunnel, even if the road to get there will be bumpy. And knowing that he's only got three functioning legs already makes me feel better about his future life as a tripod.

The fire emblem twitter account posted this video of the obelisks that let you choose your route. Each obelisk shows a short video with cutscenes from their route.

Cai, Dietrich, and Theodora's videos mostly show stuff that we've already seen in trailers. What I found most interesting is Leda's, which shows her receiving her vihuela (I think that's what her instrument is called?).

A figure in a white cloak and surrounded by purple flames hands her the instrument and when Leda seems to grab it, purple flames show up in her eyes (unsure if this is just a reflection or not).

Looks like confirmation her vihuela isn't just an ordinary instrument, but is instead some sort of cursed object.

His head is facing more forward and he's looking to the right, instead of the usual 3/4 turn.

I didn't test all the other Yoasobi skins but Kiriko seems to have the same portrait pose as usual.
