I am looking to sell everything together for a little under 80% of melt.
In-person sale in NYC only (no shipping, sorry.)
Cash only.
- 1040+ grams of sterling scrap, all marked, none weighted. Including: several vintage makeup compacts (no mirrors or other non-sterling weight), one engraved plate, and a bag of ~90 grams of misc jewelry. Some may be wearable and some of the compacts may be restorable, but I'm selling as scrap.
- One silver candelabra, around 100-150 years old. 1230+ grams and fully hallmarked as .800 silver (it has the Austro-Hungarian "dog head" mark). It's hollow inside, not weighted. The candelabra has some nice engravings; one of the arms looks to have been repaired in one spot.
- Sixty 40% silver Kennedy halves (avg. 11.5 grams each, ~690g total.)
- Also throwing in a small bag of 10+ grams of scrap silver, some marked as .800 and some unmarked 800-925.
Total silver content:
(1040g * .925) + (1240g * .800) + (60 * 11.5g * 0.4) = ~2230 grams (almost 72 troy ounces)
Current silver spot price (8/17/2026) is over $65/ozt
So:
70 ozt (I'm rounding down) * $65 (also rounding down) = $4550
80% of $4550 = $3640 <-- this is the price for everything.
Cash only. Happy to provide ample time for you to check anything you want prior to buying.

Update: I wasn't planning to split it up into smaller lots, but I have a pending offer for just the candelabra, from someone who wants to save it from getting scrapped. So I am also open to selling everything except the candelabra, all together, at the exact same rate as above. It would come out to ~$2031 for ~1246g of silver content; I'd further round down to an even $2000.
