Basically, I loved settlers 1+2 for the process trees. You can build a mine, but you have to feed the workers. Want bread? You need a farm and a well and then someone to mill the flour.
I love rimworld for the progression.
You have to research for more advanced tech.
Ideally, I'd love something that starts out in the stone age and continues into the space age.
Is such a game out there?
My son started a judo class a year or so ago.
He's actually really enjoyed it and has been progressing well.
When we started, it was just 'judo'. I know no different. But it appears as if it's a slightly different style, or sub set of judo?
If he kept going, is the time wasted if he ever wanted to transition into Olympic judo?
We bought a bottle that stops spills for our youngest.
He's a decent boy, doesn't make a mess intentionally, but spills happen.
Anyway, we bought a Contigo (already sounds like some 18th Century waterborne disease) bottle.
Jazzy little number, some long forgotten reptile looking creature on the side.
When cleaning the thing, you can get the straw out and feel like you're really getting in to it to give it a good clean.
That's deception however.
The last few days, I've had a sip out of the bottle myself. Thirst spares no man.
I've smelt an unpleasant smell from the straw.
I thought it was my son's bad dental hygiene.
He's a decent boy, but sometimes moves his head side to side while keeping the brush stull.

And we've paused on a man in his prime, breaking open a child's water bottle with an old flathead screwdriver.
If we move in slow speed, lets say x0.25, we see his face turn from mildly disgusting, to disgust, as he removes bits of plastic that should never be taken apart, and reveals what can only be described as the wet bits of the black lagoon, from which the creature from the black lagoon did him very self originate.

And if you buy any water bottle with anything more than a lid, double check you can access all areas and give it a good old clean.
Friend lives on one. It's all drives, houses and back gardens are mostly patio, with a few lawns and probably too many plastic carpet grasses.
The temperature is mental.
My parents estate, a council estate that's not the best, but has 6 trees in each street, loads of houses have trees a surprising amount still have front hedges.
It feels a good 10 degrees cooler.
As well as tackling this sort of heat with efficient air con and heat pumps or whatever, some planning and money needs to go into trees and greenery around all housing estates.
Parents have got rolls of different sorts of materials.
Some have a metre, some maybe a couple.

I come begging of your advanced knowledge.
My son like making 'potions'. At the minute, they're just bottles filled with water and food colouring with labels on them.
I'd like to be able to give him some ideas for potions that actually have some cool effect.
I thought of different density liquids, so the potions splits. Maybe a lava lamp style of thing... But I have no idea how to create something like this.
Anyone have any other good ideas too?

We lost our roof aerial at Christmas.
I figured I'd just tune something in the Google TV settings and I'd get most, if not all freeview settings.
For whatever reason, I can't do this. There's no freeview app either.
When I try Freeview Streaming TV, it says I'm not in New Zealand?!?
And until yesterday, we could watch iPlayer from the home screen. But now, it's saying no TIAF support?
We've been told recently that our child's school is struggling due to their budget (based on pupil numbers) and class sizes.
They've come up with a plan that will merge years 1+2, and years 3+4.
They've said that as class sizes are as low as 18 pupils, they have no other option.
They can't afford teachers for a class of 18 basically.
I do understand this, they're not in a great position, no school is.
Our issue is though, that our child's class has been extremely inconsistent up til now.
In reception, the teacher left half way through the year to stay home with her young family. Totally understandable, and nothing the school could do.
In year 1, their teacher left half way through the year due to pregnancy. Again, totally understandable.
In year 2, their teacher was off for long periods for health reasons, which the school were aware of before the year started.
At this point, I'd have thought it would have been in that class's best interest to have the other year group's teacher, at least to spread the disruption.
This year, their teacher left at Christmas due to pregnancy.
At this point, I just feel like more of an effort should have been made to avoid this possibility. Let's just say the other year group's teacher is extremely unlikely to have been leaving halfway through due to pregnancy.
Now with this latest change, our child's class won't have had a single year with a permanent teacher, and will now be mixed with a group of kids a year younger.
I get that were here now and we can't go back. I get that the school has been cornered in a lot of ways, but I just feel like our child is at a detriment from all of the changes.
And it seems like there's nothing we can do.
Is there anything we can do?
Anyone experienced anything similar?
