Does anyone else think it’s very clear the leak NOT from KR/TB team, which is why Judge called all parties in (to avoid further scrutiny)

This seems why Judge specifically said he will happily put make order the parties can agree upon and dismiss this case if need be.

Maybe he had all parties at the hearing to play “neutral” and provide a very direct warning to the guilty party.

To me, it seemed like the Judge saw through the bullshit.

It seems to me, he KNEW Mr. Jackson would want to speak on the matter, and possibly provide evidence, so he ran out as soon as he was finished speaking.

Thoughts?

If my son receives social security for Down syndrome, does stamps office count that as my income? GA

I make between 36k - 38k as a 10-99 employee. No benefits. That is BEFORE taxes amount.

Obviously before bills and business expenses and everything else.

My son get about $960 for his disability. So i believe that’s $11,544. I generally contribute his ssn money to our rent ($1500 monthly).

I believe this is why they keep kicking me off stamps.

I have 2 kids total, one who is disabled. So all 3 of us. Somehow I don’t qualify for stamps?

I work from home, don’t even have a vehicle.

Idk what to do. I reapplied after them taking it 2x.

It was initially approved for like $450 per month. Then reduced to $300. Then they took it away saying I made too much once I moved and my rent was even higher?

Reapplied, was given the $300 monthly.

Moved, same amount of rent, same pay and expenses, they took it saying I make too much.

This is over the course of less than 1.5 years

For those who’ve employed several nannies over time, what have YOU learned / changed from your relationship with the previous nanny?

I am curious if any of us have changed dynamics between different nanny.

And not so much like “I need a nanny who is outgoing because the last one only played on her phone”.

More of, “with my first nanny, we required her to bring her own lunch. Now with the new nanny, I allow her to eat whatever she wants here”.

Maybe, “first nanny we had her doing “light” housework which was increased over time, I should have paid her for more responsibilities”.

Like growth among us if you know what I mean?

[GA] client has an uphill battle, not much caselaw exists - has anyone helped a crim defendant with this matter?

I am a paralegal in GA. I have researched endlessly and so has my attorney, to no avail.

It seems our client is screwed because we can’t find a way for evidence to be admissible re:

Newly single man (30) met a girl on a dating app (which is 18+ to begin with).

Presented herself to be 18. Was actually 15. Even told the police this on video in the investigation.

They had sex.

I guess her grandma found out and asked the state to press charges.

Long of the short, not knowing the victims age isn’t a defense.

Apparently there is zero way to get the fact she lied about her age into evidence. She said it in messages on this app, in person, and on the video with the police officer.

Our client is a decent guy. I am ALWAYS team woman, but it is apparent in this case that the victim completely lied. But because she’s a minor, it doesn’t matter.

The victim even said she wants kids when she’s more financially stable. Said she had a job. All these complete lies to make her look like an adult.

Ugh. This client is looking at up to 25 years in jail. The DA is playing hardball. Aware the girl lied and that we can’t get it into evidence. The plea offers are beyond offensive.

I really have no idea what to do in this matter. Obviously I’m just the paralegal here. But it’s hard to see someone’s life ruined. And hard to watch my atty feel so much responsibility for that. He never promised the client anything, of course. But he’s never lost before and it’s killing him.

I guess we’re going to trial. But idk how this can possibly go well.

Am I “selfish” because I eat lunch when twins nap and 90% of the time eat dinner after they sleep? They are almost 2 years old

So I will eat with them if we’re at a restaurant or sometimes breakfast if I eat breakfast.

But 90% of the time I caannnnooooottttt stand eating my food cold due to being constantly interrupted.

They throw food, cups, plates. It’s 0% pleasant for me.

Truly idgaf what people say about this. If I can’t eat in peace, I’m not eating. Which is better? Starving or eating at a different time than my small toddlers who certainly won’t realize it at this young age. Their high chairs are at the kitchen island and not our table anyway.

Do you have a playroom? What age did you let your kids be in there alone?

My twins are 21 months old. They have a playroom, their dad put in a foam floor.

We have a monitor which can see the entire room.

They have only safe toys in there.

There is a gate so the door is always open.

I throw them in there to play when I’m doing laundry or cooking or unloading dishwasher.

Today their dad bitched at me for having them in there while folding my laundry.

He was so rude and hurt my feelings, implied I’m a bad mom for this?

Said I can do laundry when they are asleep…. wtf??????????

I am so spent. Carrying much of the load and don’t appreciate having my day dictated.

Ugh.

I didn’t do the compulsion for the first time and totaled my car and another drivers an hour later

I really thought I was recovering. But I guess not. Only have liability insurance. I’m so screwed.
