How does Daigo do in the Group B of the IBC if he replaced Silas? (Big 5 Boss Rush Essentially)

How does Daigo do in the Group B of the IBC if he replaced Silas? (Big 5 Boss Rush Essentially)

I think personally he’d go one of three paths:
0 wins & 5 losses.

1 win & 4 losses.

2 wins & 3 losses.

Daigo in Evolution is better than he was in Burst, but not by some big margin. He manages to surpass Wakiya, but that’s pretty much it. So I feel like if he was in the gauntlet over Silas against the Big 5 he’d probably do worse than he did.

Two L’s straight off the bat are Free and Lui. I think they beat Daigo high diff or potentially no diff. Daigo played Free in the Team Tourney and he didn’t really do well against him there. MAYBE he manages to do a little bit better this time.. but ultimately he’d still lose. And Lui well, if Silas couldn’t survive two confrontations with Nightmare Longinus Daigo probably wouldn’t be able to survive one.

I think Daigo probably loses to Xander as well. This one is probably closer than the other two, maybe he even loses 2-1, but without a concrete plan to combat Xander like Silas had, I don’t think he’d manage to defeat him. Ultimately resulting in his loss.

This might shock some people but I think his “tossup” game is the one where he’d face Ren Wu. We never saw Daigo battle Ren Wu, but I think people tend to forget that the reason why he went 0-5 in the anime was that literally everyone else in the grouping was just on another level than him. But Daigo I feel is someone who’s more on Ren Wu’s level. I think either one could take this one personally.

The match I honestly think Daigo would have the easiest time with is Joshua. He almost defeated him in the Team League so he has firsthand experience what it’s like battling him in this universe. I can honestly see Daigo correcting his blunders from his first face off with Joshua and beating him this second go around.

Do You Think Dobes will be modifying his helmets design for the 26-27 season?

Genuinely just curious. It’s common for designs to change in time for the new season but it seems to me Dobes wants to rock with the same one he had during the Habs playoff run earlier this year. Last time we saw him skate on ice was during the KR Classic to help raise money for the Children’s Foundation and he had the same mask then. Gives me the impression that when the season gets a bit closer he’ll either keep the exact same design or maybe just tweak it a bit. Which I would actually prefer since it’s more unique than most goalie masks in the current NHL League. The wolf is sick.

How Well Would They Have Done in the Tag Team League Should They Have Been in the Anime?

I honestly think these two would’ve been a very underrated duo who, would’ve stood a chance against the other teams. But their biggest asset I believe would be their chemistry. While these two characters never interacted before, they are both calm Bladers who are very calculative in battle. And I feel like they radiate very similar energy.

Round 1: Free & Silas (Result: Loss)
Having a rematch between Daigo and Free would be nice. However I think ultimately Free & Silas would take the win here. Both teams are similar in that they have a lot of IQ and Battle IQ, but overall I think neither of them would really be able to combat Free. And thats assuming they even manage to get through Silas first. While I think they probably could get something against Silas, I still think the overall battle is a loss. Free & Silas wins Mid Diff.

Round 2: Lui & Drum (Result: Win)
This is where I think they pick up their first win. Why? Because I believe these two would be able to craft up a strategy to be able to defeat them. Plus Delta is very well acquainted with Drum. I feel like with his inside Intel, they’d be able to eliminate Drum early and then be in a 2v1 against Lui which ultimately results in them winning. Similar to how Free & Silas beat them in the anime. Daigo & Delta wins Low Diff.

Round 3: Aiga & Ranjiro (Result: Loss)
This one would be very close, but I think Aiga and Ranjiro with their cyclone tornado they’d be able to edge out a win against these two. Again it would probably be a lot closer than some may think, but, I don’t see them winning this one. Aiga & Ranjiro wins Low Diff.

Round 4: Hyuga & Hikaru (Result: Loss)
Disregarding the plot armour, I think Hyuga and Hikaru win regardless. People like to say they aren’t good Bladers, and that’s partially true, but as a duo they’re very strong. They’re arguably the best in the tournament. So I don’t see them winning this one either. Hyuga & Hikaru wins High Diff.

Round 5: Shu & Lain (Result: Loss)
For both plot related reasons and the fact that Daigo never won against Shu before, I don’t think they have this one either. Plus Lain I feel would be able to knock both of them out pretty easily. Shu & Lain win Mid Diff.

Round 6: Valt & Rantaro (Result: Win)
This one I’m genuinely in a tossup category for. I think, similar to how Delta knows Drum well, Daigo knows Valt and Rantaro very well so they can craft a plan that is pretty solid against them. Similar to Lui & Drum’s victory against them, if they can isolate Valt and be in a 2v1 scenario I think they win. Though it be another victory they edge out. Daigo & Delta win Low Diff.

Final Score: 2W-4L

Do you agree or disagree? Lemme know!

Which Tag Team Duo Was Better in Surge?

Feats:
Lui & Drum = Aiga & Ranjiro (2W-3L) (5th/4th Place in the Tag Team League)

Lui & Drum Wins:
- Valt & Rantaro
- Aiga & Ranjiro

Aiga & Ranjiro Wins:
- Valt & Rantaro
- Free & Silas

I think it’s tough. Sure Lui & Drum defeated them in the final round of the Group Stage, but Aiga & Ranjiro also defeated Free & Silas. Whom Lui & Drum were the only team who were not able to defeat them. So it’s hard to really tell which of the two duos should’ve been ranked above the other.

Their average are also roughly around the same skill level. Lui & Drum are roughly ranked in the same spot in the individual rankings. Whereas Aiga ranks higher than both of them, however his team average is brought down by Ranjiro, who ranks below both Lui & Drum. So the average between Aiga & Ranjiro ends up being a similar skill level to Lui & Drum.

What are your thoughts? Which duo do you think was ultimately the better pair?

What are your Rankings of Mario’s 3D Adventures from Best to Worst?

We are lucky to have all of these games available to play on the same console (the Switch). Mario’s 3D Games have and always will be my favourite iteration of our iconic plumber. But which of his journeys was your favourite on the switch? Or, if you played them on their original hardware?

Every Instance I Suspect in the Beyblade Burst Anime of Fan Service

Before anyone gets the wrong idea, I do NOT think it’s a bad thing these characters showed up. In fact, I’m glad that we got to see them again. This is just me simply theory crafting. You are free to agree or disagree.

First: Xander (Season 2/3)

I feel like the easier one to justify is in Season 3 where Xander literally only appears for a brief cameo in one episode to battle Aiga only to never appear again. And yeah, that makes sense. I feel like of any of the ones I’m gonna talk about I think this was the most obvious sign of fan service. Xander didn’t even receive a unique bey he just borrowed Buster Xcalibur from Xavier for a battle. It was fun to see him, but if he didn’t show up, nothing different would’ve happened in Cho-Z.

Now for Season 2, this one is a bit more nuanced. We all know they brought back many fan favourite characters from Season 1 into Season 2 however to varying degree. One thing that never once got explained is how Xander is ranked #4 Globally when he is ranked #4 strictly in Japan behind both Zac and Shu. And while Shu “disappeared”, his name should’ve still been recognized as either the #3 or #4 globally depending on the scaling with Joshua at the time and Zac is nowhere to be seen. Now for this to make sense in universe it would’ve taken a lot of offscreen events, and seeing that Season 2 happens less than a year after Season 1… I just doubt that many chain of events occurred to where Xander would’ve surpassed Shu and Zac in the global rankings. And knowing that he was well received in the first season, I feel as though the writers wanted to still incorporate Xander as one of the leading Bladers globally going into Season 2. Plus in the International Bladers Cup, of the 12 Bladers Competing, only 4 of them were from Season 1. Valt, Shu and Lui all made sense given that they still had story’s to finish. And then they included Xander because why not, lol

Second: Free (Season 3)

This one is weird because Geist Fafnir is my favourite Fafnir in terms of design. But if you think about it, the idea isn’t too farfetched.

In Season 3, we’re first introduced to Free in such an awkward spot in the story. It was right in the middle of the Battleship Cruise/Dark Aiga Arc. He beats up Aiga a few times, then vanishes for a while again until the writers decide to make him have the most random offhand battle with… Kyle? Not even Lui. Which I feel like would’ve made a lot of sense narratively if they wanted to have Lui seek out Free to have a do over after the IBC last season. It would also play into the fact that Free sought out Lui last season as well. But they chose… Kyle? It felt like the writers were trying really hard to give him screentime in order to please the fans but other than being fodder to Phi and having some dialogue with Valt about Aiga’s Dark Resonance, he didn’t really do much… the roles that he played could’ve easily been filled by other characters already in the season. The part where he helped Valt master the Turbo Awakening could’ve been given to Shu. (Actually think this makes a little bit more sense since Shu himself has a Turbo Awakening Bey). Again, Cant stress this enough, love that Free was in this season. I just can’t help but feel like this was done in a way that was to capitalize on how well received he was in the season prior because of how random his screentime this season is.

Finally: Valt (Season 4)

I think with Season 4, they wanted a clean slate. Hence why Shu didn’t return, and Free & Lui were given clean states with Fumiya and Lodin. But they couldn’t go full clean slates because I feel as though in the writers mind, they just physically couldn’t replace Valt Aoi. They probably didn’t think the backlash with Fumiya and Lodin would be as bad initially, but one thing they foresaw is that nobody can replace Valt. Which is why they have him make 2 brief appearances, only to not contribute a whole lot to the overall plot.. Aiga was a bit different in the sense that.. he was the world champion so the whole battle island arc had to revolve around him. But Valt didn’t have any story arcs that compelled him to even be apart of the season. Sure he helped Delta a bit and had some moments with Aiga, but similar with Free last season, his roles this season could’ve easily been given to another character. Or the fact that it’s so minor that it didn’t have to exist at all. Valt had a real reason to be in every single season other than Season 4. And when you look at the returning cast, (or lack thereof), it’s easy to tell that he was brought back so that the fans weren’t leaving all of their favourites in the dust.

If you had to place your bets on one of the main Fortune’s Weave Lords being an Antagonist/Anti-Hero, which would you say is the most likely?

When they did this split paths formula with Three Houses, Edelgard filled in as the main antagonist for 2/4 of the routes. And served as an antagonist in 3/4 of them.

I’m not saying one of these four are bound to be an antagonist, however I’m wondering if they will copy that formula once more. And if they do, who would you say has the likeliest chances of being written as such? Cai, Leda, Dietrich or Theodora?

Don’t be Discouraged.

Our loss against Mexico was a tough one, but do not forget what we’ve accomplished. This is the first time since almost two decades we’ve reached the semi finals of the CONCACAF U20 cup, and while being in the Olympics would’ve been nice, our young players have a U20 World Cup that they earned their spot in to prepare for.

And it wasn’t like we were dominated in our match against Mexico. While they did pick up the pace in the second half, we stood our ground for the most part up until the second yellow was given to Mackenzie. And after a very messy game in the rain, it ended in a 2-1 loss.

This Season Just Got Interesting.

Holy Crap, that vote flip actually happened. I can’t believe Dee, Devens and Angela followed through with blindsiding the Red Corner. Hopefully their days are numbered from here!

What Would You Put Our Realistic Odds Against Mexico for the U20 Semi Finals Tonight to be at?

Obviously, I think we’re going into this one as the underdogs. But as to how much of an underdog I’m not too sure. Maybe 70-30 for Mexico.. but again, I don’t know. One thing I know for sure though is that we’re not 100% doomed. We’ve had some great strikers and runners on our U20 this year. This game will definitely be an interesting one.

How Many Eviction Votes Each BB27 Houseguest Has Received

After almost 3 straight weeks of unanimous votes for BB28. I decided to take a trip down memory lane just last summer when we had a grand total of only 2 unanimous votes the ENTIRE season, and one of them was at the Final 5. (Only 2 votes were being cast).

Here are all 17 Houseguests and how many votes to evict they received throughout the entire season! (This includes HOH Votes. So Vince’s Vote Against Kelley in the tie breaker and Ashley’s Vote Against Morgan in the Final 3).

Who was your favourite BB27 Houseguest? And were you surprised by any of these results?

Do you think Liam Mackenzie will be in contention for Les Rouges in the 2030 World Cup?

I know we’re still barely under 4 years until the next World Cup, but after seeing how well this guy has done this U20 CONCACAF Tourney they should seriously consider it.

How well we do during the U20 World Cup next year will definetly factor in too. But I seriously see a bright future for this young man. What are your thoughts? And are there any other players you see making it big for Canada’s CANMNT National Team?

Radar: The Best Written Character in Season 2

I might get some flack for this or I may not, but I genuinely feel like Radar is the best written character out of the Season 2 Main Group.

Jack was a mediocre character at best. Even after by the end of the game I was failed to be convinced that I should care about him on the same level as Jesse, Petra and Radar. It’s not to say he’s a bad character. I still like him, just to a lesser degree. And while we saw development in his character in small ways like how Jesse helps him feel comfortable about his emotions and to not be so guarded all the time, his overall character stays stagnated throughout the entire journey.

Jesse didn’t receive any major character improvements this season compared to Season 1. In Season 1, it was fun to watch them grow from being a small town person living in a treehouse to being the Hero in Residence. However in Season 2 he already reached his peak so his character didn’t have much room to grow from here. I still love Jesse, but I’m saying that as for his character development he didn’t get much this season.

Petra is the only one I’d argue for Radar’s spot as the best developed. And while I think she was handled well, I always liked Petra and that didn’t change in Season 2. Whereas for Radar he went from a character I did not like at the beginning to a character I really liked by the end of the 5 Episodes.

Radar starts off as this skittish fanboy who serves as Jesse intern. He first comes off as frail and unreliable in the Ice Palace, but later during the Sunshine Institute and more notably the area Below the Bedrock, we see how much he grows as a person by being his own hero in a way instead of constantly idolizing Jesse.

This is why my favourite ending is the one where you allow Radar to buy the group time for him to save Fred’s People because it makes his character come full circle, and as well at the final episode when he saves the group from the colossal giant.

He starts off as this guy who puts his own heroes on a pedestal and ends off by being a hero himself if you allow him to be. Which I think is very beautiful in the writing of Radar.

Who are Canada’s Quarterfinal opponents most likely to be?

I’m not super familiar with the seeding of the U-20 CONCACAF Quarterfinals. Since they topped Group C, does this mean they play one of the two 3rd Place advancers? Or do they play a 2nd Place team?

My BB28 Thoughts 4 Weeks in.

Nearing our first month of BB28, thought I’d finally air my thoughts and opinions on this season thus far.

I think gameplay wise we’ve had a healthy dose of in terms of people gaming inside of the house. The only people who didn’t game, are either out of the house or learned from the first week and are now actively attempting to contribute to the game. Though there is a significant gap between Dee, Devens and Angela compared to the newbies in terms of how much they understand this game and just making smart plays overall. In fact I think Dee and Devens are in the best positions in the house currently. (Used to be Drew but he was snuffed out fast). They’ve successfully positioned themselves to where they’re the heads of the Toolshed, but also made themselves be the last ones the other side (Roman Empire? But Rome is now gone so idk what to call them lol) want to target.

In terms of entertainment… I’m growing very bored very fast. I like Dee and Devens, and they’re currently playing a phenomenal game. But we are now 4 HOH’s in that are favouring the same side of the house. It is quite literally so bad, that Lyric and Yash have essentially abandoned ship with the Roman Empire because they know they’d be gone sooner rather than later if they didn’t. Now if things stay the course, Melody or Taylor go home this week. And were left with La Trice, Mallory and Taylor/Melody for the Roman Empire and as of date, only Mallory have won a competition. And none of them have won an HOH to help make a shift in the current house structure. I see that group of people fizzling out pretty quickly and it’s a bit disappointing compared to the amount of power shifts we had just last season.

And this is a side note… but some of the casting this season have been… questionable at best. Kamu and Haley specifically…

Final thoughts, I don’t think this season is necessarily doomed yet. Yash, Lyric and Drew are still hope that maybe just maybe something can shake things up… (especially with the Coin of Destiny allegedly in play in Drew’s hands) but we’ll have to wait and see.

We were robbed of a proper civil dialogue between these two

Going from the last time these two interacted in Season 2 (which mind you, was when Shu obliterated Nightmare Longinus) to them being immediately civil in Season 5 felt… like a big jump. I feel as though we were following Shu & Lui’s relationship and then just skipped a chapter before going to the end.

And I don’t mean for it to be some big out of character apology scene from either character. That would be even worse than skipping a chapter in their relationship. But something where they both kind of find a middle ground in being friendly rivals rather than making it personal. (Since they’re 1 for 1 in destroying each other’s beys). I feel like it would’ve really helped fill in the gaps between Seasons 2 and 5 if they slipped a scene like this in.

Maybe it could’ve been during the small Lui arc in the beginning of Season 5 when Hyuga and Hikaru visit Lui’s island. Since Shu arrived with Lain there, they squeeze in a little moment where Shu and Lui have a one on one talk after the battle he had with Lain. This would make it slip right into the plot and not make it feel out of place since Shu can tell Lui that he’s trying to help Lain by bringing him to challenge legends, and they bring up Shu’s red eye past while on this topic and it drifts naturally into them being cordial with each other officially. Which would’ve made their exchange during the Tag Team League feel more natural.

Final 5: Who is your favourite 5th Place Houseguest?

Count the fingers you have on one hand! These houseguests have all made it to the Final 5. It’s a big accomplishment as this is the last mathematical opportunity for both a split vote and tie to occur in the Big Brother House.

(Like with my 7th Place and 3rd Place posts, I do not have all the images for every houseguest. But they are all applicable! Let me know your favourite 5th Place in the replies)

The Finale Night Juror: Who was your favourite 3rd Place Houseguest?

Whether it be due to going into the finale in a 2v1, being blindsided because you’ve played the best game of the 3 and lost the final HOH, or you’ve coasted. They had less than an hour to decide who they were gonna vote for on Finale Night to win the game. Who was your favourite 3rd Place finisher?

(Yes, houseguests not shown in the photos are also applicable! I don’t have them here because I only have images from BB14 upwards saved)

Young Simba Edit!

Recently on my editing TikTok account I made this Young Simba edit and decided to share it here on Reddit. Enjoy!

The song I used was Upside Down by Jack Johnson. The track was originally used in the Curious George Movie. I thought the vibe and sound fit Simba’s playful nature well
