Heavy books…

This may be a dumb question but I’ve never moved with this many books before. I’ve pretty much filled two 38 gallon totes full of books. They are hella heavy! Will movers move these or should I only fill them half way and fill the rest with something light like towels and sheets?

First order arrived!!

Timeline for Empower:

Submitted consult Monday night.
Approved Tuesday morning.
Meds shipped Wednesday.
Meds arrived today (Friday)!

Box came with everything I needed and the 2 of the 3 ice packs were still at least half frozen. Meds still felt cold. 10/10 experience! Cant wait to see how they work for me! 👏🏻👏🏻

Starting my Tirz journey again!!

I lost like 25lbs when I took it 2 or so years ago. Then I suddenly lost my dad last year, and well, I fell off the wagon! Now I’m back to where I started. 😖

I found this new company and decided what the heck!! I hope to have a good experience. My order has been confirmed after my intake last night and it’s now in the hands of Empower! 👏🏻

My longest run!!

Ran/walked intervals for 4 miles today on the treadmill!
This is my longest distance so far and I’m really proud of myself! 😭
And I kept my HR at a decent place too! When I started it would always be 180+

Natural gas and CO detector..

Anyone have this? It goes off saying we have gas leaks almost daily. I understand certain things can set it off but tonight I’ve had enough. Literally going off on high alert (red) and my handheld detector I bought at the hardware store is at 0…

I got it to help with my anxiety and it’s only making it worse.

Of course this is no longer available on Amazon.

Strava on indoor track…

I ran/walked for 55 minutes total and the app says my moving time was only 24 minutes and I only did 2.7 miles when I did 25 laps which per their signage, 7.5 laps = 1 mile.
So I did 3.3 miles…at much slower pace than this says.

Anyone else have issues with using Strava inside??

Also my map for giggles because wtfff???

To quote Michael Scott

“Finishing that 5k was the hardest thing I have ever had to do.”

But for real…for my first official 5k, that was a doozy!! The hills were tall and the downhills were slippery! (I may or may not have fallen once) It was a cross country style race all on grass so I think I need new shoes now 😜

It was hilly, hot, and humid! I heard from other racers that there were people getting sick on the course.

But I finished it and the glass of wine at the end was yummy!

Strava vs Peloton

I decided to run both apps at the same time and this was the result.

How are they so different??! Even the elevation is a lot different.

Strava makes me feel better about myself so I’ll be sticking to that 🤣🤣

I have a 5k on Sunday so I’ll run both again and see which is more accurate to the course markers! Should be a fun experiment in addition to my first 5k.

First 5k is Sunday!!

I signed up for my first 5k and it is a wine 5k at a local orchard/vineyard! I’m super excited but also so nervous!

I won’t be the fastest one but I will be doing something that scares ame and makes me proud!! Hoping to be under 40 minutes but just finishing an “cross country style” race will be enough for me!

I got out tonight and did 2 miles despite it being 90F! I finished the month with 24 miles under my belt which is up from 13 miles in May and 9 miles in April!

The entire mile home was uphill too. 🥵

What is this?? I just ripped a bunch out

Google is freaking me out that it is poison ivy.
I’ve never seen it in real life (until maybe right now!)
I just noticed the stuff on it and pulled it out of my flower bed.
I did immediately wash my hands, arms, and feet and changed my clothes.

My first wearable!

Finished my very first knit garment!!

It is the Tip Top Tank on Ravelry.

I’m not sure about the length but I still have to weave in my ends and block it. It will definitely be a good pool day table since it’s a little more low cut than I would really like to wear

Yarn is Loops and Threads Soft Ombré in the color Plum/Periwinkle/White. Used 3.5mm needles for entire project.

Pretty sure my late dad sent me good luck today!

Today we celebrated Father’s Day with my family by hanging out at a local recreation area. We ended up down by the water fishing most of the afternoon.

When I opened my tackle box and started looking for a lure to fish with, I noticed one I have literally NEVER seen before. My gut told me that it was going to be my lucky lure today. And it sure was!! I haven’t been the best fisherman in the past so this felt like a huge win for me.

Father’s Day isn’t the same without my dad here anymore. But I am very sure that he sent me that random lure to help me fish today to help me through the weekend.

I caught 5 big bluegill and 2 frogs (by accident of course) all while using his old rod.
🐟🐸🎣

Thanks for the help dad!! It really made my day! 💖👆🏻

I mostly just bake bread for my own family but I do have one loyal customer! She loves my cheddar and herb loaf! I can’t blame her, it’s my favorite too!! 🤗🤤

125g starter
320g water
525g flour
10g salt
8oz block of sharp cheddar
Italian seasoning to preference

Mix all ingredients together (except the cheddar and Italian seasoning) and let sit for an hour
2 sets of stretch and folds 30 minutes apart.
On S&F number 3 add in the cheddar and Italian seasonings.
One last set.
Let bulk ferment until dough is ready.
I shape and throw in the fridge overnight.
Bake covered at 450F for 30 minutes.
Lower temp to 425F and bake until internal temp is 200F
