I actually just took a third goblin champion fight and got another bow after this. Granted, the bow COULD be useful for fearsome procs, but...

Previous record was ~60 peak viewers. Playing a 10 year old game. Chat was saying it was showing up in their recommended section. I wish I understood the algorithm.
Already posted this in the SOTF sub, but I’m looking to play with someone on stream. I don’t want someone who’s beaten the game and has hundreds of hours. I want someone who can vibe and learn together. If
You’re interested, let’s chat!
Got this game on release and never touched it until yesterday. Absolutely loved the forest. This game is great but it’s much better with a like minded partner.
Not looking to get carried, or be shown everything by someone who’s got hundreds of hours. I stream on weekends and like to have fun, and cohesion is huge for me.
If you’re interested let me know. In the states - CST.
Major bonus points for 2 singers
Dare I say it could even be up there with bloodborne?
Apologies on the FB link
I want to love this game so bad. I really think they could’ve had something that really stood out with this title, but setting it free when it’s unfinished and unoptimized is a crime. I actually really like the simplicity of it compared to other SL titles. I like the visuals and the level design, and the fact the game is mostly bright and colorful is refreshing compared to the bleak nature of most other souls games… but the actually gameplay can be SO JANKY. But not in an endearing way - I’ve had actual bosses glitch out and just stop moving. How does this happen on a game that multiple years old? There have also been a couple times that I was completely stun locked and died. Just annoying and not fun.
The enemy density as you progress through the game is just shit. I’m at the end of the second area (I’m guessing) and it’s nothing but cannons and guns and dogs and grenades - EVERYWHERE. I have been stun locked and killed more times than I remember, and for the first time in ANY souls like game I’ve ever played… I ended up just sprinting through the entire area from the knot to the boss. I HATED that I had to do that. It was just too frustrating, and if I get to the point that I’m considering turning the game off out of frustration, it’s a problem for me. At a certain point, it seems like that’s what the devs did - increase the amount of enemies, and give them all ranged attacks. Let’s even put some where you can’t reach just yet!
The bosses overall have either been frustrating, or way too easy. But they all suffer from the same gimmick, which is - an easy first phase that you parry, and counter attack. Then you get them to about half health, they buff with an element, hit 5-10x as hard, and kill you after you make one small mistake. I’m not even sure if the move set changes. A few times I felt like I was under leveled, but I kept telling myself there is no way. I’ve played dozens of SL games and have a pretty good intuition about them. The bosses really are that bad. Remember fighting enemies in Elden Ring and you get a status proc on yourself? Seeing that amount of health disappear is frightening, so you back away, heal, and keep an eye on the status build up more carefully. In Enotria - The elements don’t do that. There is no buildup. You get hit once, you’re procced. Get hit again and a third or more of your health is toast. And don’t even get me started on the poison bullshit. The amount of health you lose and at the speed which you lose it is INSANE. And your healing animation? Janky and slow as fuck.
Maybe this is part of my problem, but I haven’t used any of my Lines almost ever, and haven’t really struggled on a boss too bad (except the god of war chick- literally slipped her). Maybe I’ll play again with a ranged build and try them out. Cool idea - not well executed. The ENEMIES on the other hand? As mentioned above, If THEY have an element type - you’re at risk of dying in 2-3 hits even at 45 health/vitality stat. Insane. If I could find a party gem that protected against elemental the same way the silver gem helps against physical - I would swap in a millisecond. It’s weird - I’m about 60-70% through the game, have explored my ass off, and I’m still stuck with the same 3 gems I started with. Either I’m doing something wrong, or this is a missed opportunity. I see 1 gem in the shop, but it seems like it would make the game harder based on its description.
The masks - now this is a cool implementation, just wish the effects were more impactful. I’ve been using Zannis mask and haven’t even upgraded it. The “perks” or whatever they’re called are also really cool and change the game quite a bit - love this!
Anyways - I just killed the lion/dog boss in the ruins. Giangurgolo or something. Not going to google its name again. I’ll finish this game and it will probably fall somewhere next to Steel Rising for me. A game that could’ve been great but fell short because the devs didn’t want to work on it anymore.
Last note - They play the same god damn boss music OVER and OVER again. And it’s not even a good song! I get the team is small and they wanted to get this game out, but dude… come on.
I wouldn’t say I am a soul’s veteran, but I’ve played through Elden Ring multiple times, DS3 three multiple times, DS2, both the surge entries, Sekiro, lies of P, steel rising, etc.
Anyways, I’m starting a enotria and so far I have only run into two mandatory bosses in the first area (Zanni and Curtis), and a giant crab that I beat first try. Now I have come across 2 bosses in the beach area and both are complete wrecking my shit. Like not even close. Having a feeling I may have missed something, I searched for a video of bosses in order and I’m watching some guy fight like 10+ bosses before he’s even getting to the Boss I am on now. How the fuck could I have missed so many bosses? I feel like I did a pretty damn good job exploring. It’s not like the world is open. I’m feeling kind of dumb. Is there anywhere that lists all bosses and optional bosses by area that I could reference?
It was game 4… we were down 3-0. At home. Lost by 40 points.
Phew - glad I woke up! Let’s go boys! Cavs in 7!
What is being done that you guys are bringing your bikes to shops? As someone who knows Jack shit about bikes but is moderately handy and mechanically inclined, it really doesn’t seem to be that complicated. Changing chains, brake pads and all that normal stuff is pretty darn easy. What am I missing?
