Hey folks,
I'm a 19-year-old sophomore B.Tech Data Science student from Kochi looking to form a team of 3–5 people for the Databricks Campus Hackathon (BMSCE Edition) in Bangalore on September 1st.
My strengths:
Frontend development (pretty comfortable)
Intermediate backend skills
UI/UX design and product thinking
Looking for people who are:
Aged 18–20 (preferred, so we're in a similar stage academically)
Interested in building something cool and learning fast
Comfortable with AI/ML, backend, full-stack, data engineering, or product roles
Ready to travel to Bangalore and commit to the event
Even if we don't win, I think the networking, exposure, and experience alone will make it worth attending. Databricks hackathons usually attract some really talented people, and it'll be a great opportunity to learn, build, and meet others in tech.
If you're interested, drop a comment or DM me with:
Age
College & Year
Skills/Tech Stack
Previous hackathon experience (if any)
Let's build something awesome. 🚀

Completely messed up JEE and now looking at other options. BITS Goa is one of the colleges I'm seriously considering, but I have no idea how tough BITSAT actually is compared to JEE Main.
For those who wrote BITSAT:
- How difficult did you find it?
- Is the speed factor really that brutal?
- How many months of prep did you need?
- If you didn't do well in JEE, were you still able to crack BITSAT?
- What's a realistic score target for BITS Goa CSE/AI-related branches these days?
Would appreciate honest experiences, especially from people who weren't JEE toppers. Thanks :)
I'm putting together a startup team made up exclusively of BTech students.
Looking for people who are genuinely obsessed with building cool stuff, learning fast, and shipping products. Doesn't matter if you're from IITs, NITs, or a tier-3 college.
Open to:
• Developers (Frontend, Backend, AI/ML)
• UI/UX Designers
• Product Builders
• Marketing & Growth
• Generalists who can get things done
No fake founder titles. No resume farming. Just students building something ambitious together.
Drop your year, branch, skills, and what you've built so far in the comments or DM me.
Let's see what happens.
I recently found out that a friend of mine, who just finished her 1st year of B.Tech, landed a one-month internship at BEL (Bharat Electronics Limited) in Bangalore as a frontend/Python trainee. No stipend, but honestly... getting into BEL after first year sounds pretty impressive.
The catch is that she got in through a family connection, which is obviously an advantage most of us don't have.
Now I'm wondering: where do students actually find opportunities like these? Are there mailing lists, professor networks, government internship portals, PSU programs, cold emailing, LinkedIn outreach, or is it mostly about knowing the right people?
As someone trying to build my profile early, it's a bit concerning how many opportunities seem invisible unless you're already connected.
Would love to hear how others found their first internships—especially in PSUs, research labs, or tech companies after first year.

Hey everyone,
I've registered for the Adobe India University Hackathon on Unstop and Round 1 mentions:
15 MCQs (Algorithms, DSA & Programming Logic)
1 Coding Question
1 Case Study on Brand Visibility
For those who've participated in previous years:
What was the difficulty level of the MCQs?
Were the coding questions LeetCode-style? Easy, medium, or hard?
What kind of brand visibility case study was asked?
Was it more marketing-focused or product-thinking focused?
Any topics I should prioritize in the next few days?
Would really appreciate any insights, sample questions, or preparation tips from past participants.
Thanks! 🙌🚀
P.S. If you've cleared Round 1 before, what do you wish you'd prepared better?

I'm a college student and software engineer exploring startup ideas in the space industry, particularly around AI, satellite operations, space traffic management, orbital debris, and space data.
Looking to connect with aerospace students, engineers, researchers, designers, and fellow builders interested in creating something ambitious from the ground up.
No company or funding yet—just early-stage ideas and a willingness to build.
If this sounds interesting, drop a comment or DM.

Hi everyone,
I'm a B.Tech Data Science undergraduate from India currently working on AI and space-tech related research. I've recently completed a research paper that I'm preparing to submit to an international conference, and I'm now trying to raise funds for publication, conference registration, and potential travel expenses.
Rather than asking for donations, I'd much rather earn it.
I'm looking for:
• Research assistant opportunities
• Startup internships (remote preferred)
• AI/ML, data science, software engineering, or technical research work
• Literature reviews, technical writing, prototyping, or product research roles
I have experience building software products, conducting market and technical research, working with AI tools, and collaborating in startup environments.
If you're a founder, researcher, or part of a startup that could use an extra pair of hands, I'd love to contribute and learn while funding this opportunity.
Feel free to DM me.
Thank you!

Hey designers,
I'm a broke college student/startup builder working on a landing page and I've hit a wall with the hero background/wallpaper.
I can code the frontend just fine, but creating those beautiful modern backgrounds (glassmorphism, abstract gradients, cinematic scenes, motion wallpapers, etc.) is completely outside my skill set.
I've spent hours trying Figma, AI tools, and tutorials, but everything I make looks amateur.
If anyone is willing to help a student out with a single landing page background (free or just for portfolio practice), I'd be incredibly grateful. Happy to credit you and showcase your work.
If interested, drop a comment or DM me. 🙏
Current status: broke.
Design skills: questionable.
Need for a good wallpaper: critical.

Thinking of getting Claude Pro mainly for Claude Code + Design.
If you've built a website using Claude (mostly or entirely), drop the link below 👇
Would love to see real examples before subscribing.

I've been using Claude's free plan almost every day for frontend development, debugging, code reviews, and small code tweaks. Honestly, it's become one of my most-used tools.
Recently I've been considering upgrading to Claude Pro, mainly because:
- I use Claude regularly enough that I occasionally hit limits.
- Claude is usually my go-to for coding help.
- I'm interested in trying Claude Design for UI/UX and frontend work.
For context, I'm a B.Tech Data Science student and an indie builder working on a few startup projects and web apps. Most of my usage is:
- React/Next.js frontend work
- Debugging and refactoring
- UI/UX brainstorming
- Architecture discussions
- Learning new technologies
For people currently paying for Claude Pro:
- Is the upgrade genuinely worth the money?
- How often do you still hit usage limits?
- Is Claude Design actually useful, or is it more of a novelty feature?
- If you're coding daily, would you buy Claude Pro again?
- How does it compare to ChatGPT Plus, Codex, Cursor, or Gemini for your workflow?
Looking for real-world experiences before I spend the money. Thanks!

I'm a B.Tech Data Science student and frontend developer currently building my own startup products. I can code pretty much anything on the frontend side, but design is still a weak spot for me.
Whenever I see websites like Linear, Vercel, Stripe, Arc, Apple, or Perplexity, they have these beautiful backgrounds:
Metallic/glassmorphism effects
Space-themed visuals
Mesh gradients
Dynamic animated backgrounds
Interactive 3D elements
Subtle noise and lighting
I can't afford to hire a professional designer right now, so I'm trying to learn how these are actually made.
For experienced designers and frontend developers:
What tools do you use?
Are these backgrounds mostly Figma, Blender, Three.js, shaders, or something else?
How much of it is design skill vs coding skill?
What's the fastest learning path for a frontend developer wanting to create premium-looking static and animated website backgrounds?
My goal is to create a unique visual identity for my projects rather than relying on templates.
Any resources, courses, workflows, or advice would be appreciated. Thanks! 🚀
