I got this 50 inch plasma a couple of days ago. Mostly for PS3 games.
I had never had a plasma tv before. The dithering is quite interesting. At first I thought that the tv was broken. The viewing angles are superb.

Този го взех от Сиела без да съм чел какви езици и субтитри има на диска. Предположих от common sense, че ще има английско аудио и субтитри. Ако поканя приятели, които не са българи, как се очаква да гледаме подобен филм заедно?
Откъде си купувате релийси на разни подобни филми, че да са Pal и да имат английско аудио, субтитри? Не ми се занимава да купувам още един блурей плейър и да поръчвам от Америка блурей дискове....

Replaced the vertical deflection caps. There were horizontal bright lines appearing on the screen. Haven't seen them after the recap.
I have a few too many TVs at this point. Want to find a new home for a couple of them.

It's a 100hz set. I have 7 TVs at this point, so I have to find a new home for a couple of them.
I snatched an SSD at a good price after buying the console. Beforehand I didn't notice it doing this with the HDD. I already put the HDD into a PS2, so I cannot cross test between the two drives.
The games were transferred over to the new drive via ftp, which could be the culprit.
20€ for the tv and 20€ for the stand from 2 separate people.
The small edge text on the Plano is more readable, but I'm probably comparing apples to oranges.
The sound on the other hand is quite better on the Wega. Saw that it has a woofer on the back case when I was vacuuming the PCB.

Hi! We just got this wonderful 100Hz tv with a cute stand from a lovely guy in our area. He mentioned that back in the day the tv got serviced for not wanting to power on and that the repair techs returned it with the vertical foldover lines.
I need your help identifying the vertical deflection caps, so that we can replace them. Any advice is welcome!

If I move the tv aroind, the moire shifts. Is it fixable?
The trails after the text are something else I think. Could be linked though.
They don't sell the red varlish where I live. Could scrape it off and use grease on its place, but would not like to risk it, as it may decrade the anode cap's rubber.

An inductor arched, causing these strange lines to appear after I wrapped it up with electrical tape.
Just took the board out for inspection and noticed this. I suppose this shouldn't bulge like this?
On my OLED tv the picture is fine over HDMI. On the crt it gets stretched out.
GTA V is the same upon starting the game, but during the loading stage it gets scaled correctly.
Any advice? The game doesn't give me much control over the image.

We picked up this cutie today from a family who got it with their house.
Samsung Plano SD Pal 100Hz unit.
It had sat under a gazebo for at least a year. Quite clean inside for what it had endured.
For now it looks good. There were a couple of odd clicks at some point when playing with the ps3's display settings and upon starting gta V. Nothing odd during gameplay.

About a week ago we got a KV-21M3K. The unit flickers every minute or so with colors shifting to a slightly greener hue. The last time I played before beginning to recap, white random flashing horizontal lines accompanied the flickering. After research it looks to me like vertical deflection collapse, but without the actual collapse. More like hiccups. The is also a horizontal ripple effect that seems to be some unfiltered distortion. Be it from the grid or some other component.
We noted down all electrolytic capacitors that we could see and managed to source all but one from what we think is the virtual deflection circuit. The ones marked in red have been replaced.
After replacing them it took a couple of minutes for the horizontal moving lines to reappear. The flickering also came back, but have not noticed any color shift yet. The ripple and the flicker seem to be less frequent than before.
There was surface corrosion on one of the flyback's solder joints and one that was allegedly cracked.
Will keep you posted. Recommendations are also welcome.
Btw, the picture seems more horizontal than when I got the TV. The yolk is gluted to the tube. Not sure what moved.
