5 hours until my first night shift in 10 weeks. Anyone want to play a board game on bga?

I'm a part time healthcare worker who works all shifts. Today is my first night shift in a long time.

Anyone want to play a board game? I'm also willing to chat about random things (especially Tolkien, fitness, and obscure geeky stuff).

I got asked to cover day shift tomorrow...I knew that you'd understand.

I have to work with the people who are always 'too busy' to finish their work, but also have time to sit around all day.

Which means that I'm going to be the work horse doing everything tomorrow.

What should my treat be?

What dry cleaning business do you use?

I have a bunch of shirts with stains that I can't get out, and was going to treat myself by getting them dry cleaned. The sub search bar didn't have many good recommendations, so here I am.

Any good places to go?

Do I get a 2nd dog or not?

I've always been a 1 dog person. I got a dog last year who is very sweet, but very cuddly, anxious, and doesn't like to be alone. She came from a house with multiple dogs.

I wonder if there would be a benefit to her to get another dog, or if it would be harmful? She's friendly to other dogs, but I want to make sure that she can relax at home.

I am perfectly able to provide for 2 dogs. I would happily have 100 dogs if I could. I just want to make sure that it's the best environment for my current pup.

Tldr; 1 dog or 2 dogs?

Retreats, cruises, or vacation info for 26-27?

I'm looking to go on a board game vacation solo, but am not sure which one might be the best option for me. Has anyone gone to any of the popular retreats or cruises (dice tower, bgg, etc.)? Any tips for what might be best for a married solo woman who wants to play light to middle weight games?

Tonight's game for my Lord of the Rings themed birthday as game tax.

My pots and pans are very old and I bought them 2nd hand years ago. Now that I'm in my mid 30s, I feel like I should get myself some new ones for my birthday.

What are your functional favorites?

My 4 year old needs some glasses. Are there any places that you'd recommend that have bendable glasses with the strap?

I was thinking about Just for Kids Eyewear, but their reviews are awful.

Bonus if they take fedvip, but it's not required.

I am 5wpo from a mommy makeover. I went to a surgeon in my local area (in the US) & paid about $40k for all of the procedures (mr, TT, lipo, bl).

I have an opening on my breast lift incision. I've been trying to keep it covered with hydrocolloidal bandages. I've also reached out to wound care clinics, but haven't heard back yet.

Am I right to be angry about this? I can't figure out if they did a good job on my tt either as one side is bulging more than the other.

I was hoping to go to this surgeon for several more procedures. Now I'm very tempted to leave a 2 or 3 star review after my post-op in 2 weeks.

I work with a diverse team. I like my coworkers a lot, and have even spent time with them while our kids hung out. I'm hoping to work here until I retire, which adds a complex layer to the whole situation.

My only issue is that sometimes I feel like some of the things they say are inappropriate. They'll make offhand comments about white or black people (I'm white). They'll make offhand comments about women too (yes even the women). I just ignore this and look busy.

They didn't do this around the kids, so I don't plan on doing much about it.

I just want to figure out how to not let it bother me anymore. I know that they think that I had an easier time getting hired, finding a partner, getting more money because of my skin. While I recognize that there are disparities, I don't think that every success that I've had in life has been won by my skin tone (at least not alone). Most of them make a lot more money than me too because they have been at that location for a lot longer than I have.

Basically the title says it all. My 4 year olds have these high pitched screams when in pain or are extremely upset. We've tried teaching them that we use indoor voices, and that screaming like that hurts people's ears. We have emotional regulation techniques and cards (smell the flowers blow out the candles etc.). But it doesn't seem to make a big enough impact.

To be fair, I'm not exactly my best self when I stub my toe either. I understand that having a reaction is normal, but I would like to stop the high pitched screaming when they are upset.

Any tips? I've been working on this for a few years now, and I don't know that it's gotten better. My spouse is the primary caregiver.
