Anyone have any recommendations for Vancouver hotels for after cruise?

We're going to be doing the repositioning cruise with our 2 kids under 5. After we disembark we'll be spending a couple of days exploring the city and flying out of YVR.

What hotels do you recommend for families?

What order would you cruise, if you wanted to go on all of the ships with your kids?

This was the order that I was thinking about; what do you think?

  1. Wish (already done)

  2. Magic (coming soon)

  3. Wonder (before it retires)

  4. Treasure

  5. Dream

  6. Fantasy

  7. Destiny

  8. Believe

  9. Adventure (depending on where it is)

  10. New ships

My kids will be around 5 for our next cruise & we could realistically cruise 1-2x/year.

How do you handle periods when you've allowed your emotions to override your stoicism? How did you transition in a socially acceptable way?

I had a meeting with my boss, and I allowed my emotions about team dynamics to direct me.

It made me realize that I've been emotionally driven at work, but don't know how to change without people considering me suddenly withdrawn.

How would you handle this situation?

Any recommendations for a thigh lift surgeon?

I am looking to stay close to home, but am having a hard time finding a surgeon that does good thigh lifts in the area. Would anyone mind sharing who they went to?

Suggestions for an afternoon

I have a time slot (not including the bear road corridor) between 12-2 p.m. on a Sunday in August.

What are some places to stay/hikes to do? I live a couple of hours away and will be looking for some other non-RMNP hikes on Saturday.

How do you stop ruminating?

On the night shift I make some stupid mistakes sometimes because I'm so tired. How do you guys handle this? Day shift is also very toxic. So I know that they talk shit about me.

How do I get through nights? Rage

I am a very good worker. I struggle not to do work when it's there. I also work on all shifts, so I know most things.

And my coworkers have gotten used to that. They conveniently slow down when I'm working so that I get more of the work.

It especially pisses me off on the night shift because they shouldn't leave anything for me to do.

Looks like I'll get through this night after all.

I have a problem

I've been obsessed with dcl lately. I'm obsessed with planning my next two trips. I've also convinced myself that new itineraries will be dropping on 7/10 & am excited for that.

I've even suggested to my spouse that we try to sail on all of the ships knowing that there will always be a new ship.

I've got other (more important) things to do, but here I am.

Is my surgeon gaslighting me? I feel like I'm botched.

I'm 3 months post op. I had a muscle repair and an apron belly removed from pregnancies. But my before wasn't that bad, imo.

Now, I have this weird spot on the side that just out. My surgeon said that sometimes they have ledges, and that it's my body. I feel botched.

What do you think? I have no budget, but wanted to stay close to home for surgery. This surgeon is one of the best in the state. If I need it fixed, I'll probably find someone in socal.

When do they take Christmas decorations down on a Merrytime cruise?

I'm currently planning a Merrytime cruise that will fall on my child's birthday (new years).

Do the post-Christmas Merrytime cruises keep the festivities going throughout? Will they be taking stuff down during our cruise?

I'm just curious!

Disney Magic room 8585... how is it?

I reserved this room for an upcoming cruise, and I'm wondering if anyone else has stayed in it? Was it a good experience?

ETA: Oops I meant 8584 sorry!

What subscription kits do you use?

There are a million different subscriptions for kids these days and I decided to try kiwico. It's pretty great, but I'm not sure that it'll be a long-term thing. My kids are 4, and love building things.

What subscription kits were worth it for you?

Am I weird, or is this a good idea?

For my last cruise I had an idea but ultimately chose not to ask because it is kind of weird. I figured that reddit usually skews negative and that the asking here would give me an obvious answer.

I have some fitness goals that I want to accomplish before my next cruise. I thought that it would be fun to ask if anyone else on the cruise Facebook page wanted to be accountability buddies. Is this too weird?

For those of you who made dcl a family tradition do you think that it was worth it?

We're dangerously close to getting hooked on Disney cruising. I won't lie the recent marketing has gotten to me & I have been wondering if I should make Disney cruising a family tradition (every 1-3 years)?

So, if you did that for your family, did you think that it was worth it? What do your kids think as they've gotten older? Do you think that you overdid it?

My kids are under 5, and a Disney cruise feels like one of the few things that feel like a vacation for my husband and I too.

Buldge and 'sliding' Feeling

I have a bulge on my lower right abdomen, and almost feel a sliding sensation at times. My surgeon said that I should focus on strengthening my lower abdomen, and that we'd check in at my 6 month mark.

Has anyone else had this happen? I worry that I'm being too cautious, but also don't understand why this doesn't seem to be a big deal to her.

If you had this problem, what exercises actually worked for you?

For cruisers who sailed on their birthday...did Disney do anything special for you?

I'm sailing on the Magic for my birthday next year & I'm wondering if they have added any extra magic for your birthdays? This will be our 2nd cruise and 1st sailing doing concierge.

I'm in my 30s, so I don't think that they will do anything, but I thought that it would be harmless to ask.

Is it really that big of a deal for a dad to take his daughter into the men's bathroom?

I can't figure out if I've been crazy for letting my husband take a girl into the men's bathroom. He obviously takes her into the stall. Is there really that much of a concern?

I understand that there are urinals, but I can't imagine that there's much to see. 99% of the time the men's is empty while the woman's is full.

I'm legitimately confused about this, and wondering if we should have a new rule where girls only go with mommy?
