**AND EVERYONE BELIEVED HIM**

***I GOT VOTED OUT BECAUSE EVERYONE ELSE WAS A DUMB MOTHERFUCKER***

How does Spartans using the same weapons as the regular infantry work?

Compared to a regular person, Spartans are incredibly strong, even capable of such feats as leg pressing a mountain IIRC. This could, I fear, mean that they could be prone to breaking gear not designed for augmented individuals. So how do they avoid, for example, not squeezing the trigger or releasing the bolt or pressing down on the slide release of their weapons so hard, they just snap off?

I don't care if you have arable farmland where there shouldn't be. I do care, however, if there's a nearby village that has agriculture and isn't farming it.

I feel like Star Wars is actually pretty realistic

It break several rules of our reality, yes. There shouldn’t be fireballs in space, which should also be silent. Habitable planets probably should be more scarce. There should be way less humanoid aliens. This is what most people think of when they say something is “realistic,” but I think this is a major misconception. Stories would be a lot more boring if it were. When I say Star Wars, or really any piece of media is realistic, I mean that it feels not simply like a world, but a reality. But what makes it so?

Internal logic.

The Outer Rim is very far from the inner worlds which make up the major galactic government of the day, be it the Galactic Republic or the Galactic Empire or the New Republic. Therefore, the government has very little influence there. Therefore, local groups, mainly crime syndicates and pirate bands, have filled in the vacuum.

The Sith are an order of people who have power, but only ever want more. Therefore, any kind of large scale structure they attempt to build like the Empire is bound to be marred by infighting and either destroy itself or be destroyed by those they try and fail to dominate. Therefore, they survive only through limiting their numbers greatly to a mere two people-a master to hold the power, and an apprentice to crave it.

This one is more a theory of mine, but most weapons in Star Wars are energy-based. Therefore, what armor is made of matters more than how much you have. Therefore, body and vehicle armor is often relatively thin and may be good against blasters, but falters against ballistic weapons like rockets and missiles.

See what I mean? It sets up not only these ideas, but also the logical conclusions that stem from them. *That’s* what realistic writing is-not recreating our world, but creating a world where even the fantastical makes sense. Put another way, if you want to write realistic lore regarding arable farmland near a village that has agriculture, concern yourself less with making sure that the farmland is somewhere that would allow for arable farmland on Earth and more with making sure that the villagers are making use of it as farmland.

The Battle Outcome Alignment Chart

Battle of Berlin: The Red Army successfully captures Berlin and brings an end to World War II in Europe

German Spring Offensive: The German Army makes gains, but they ultimately don't amount to much and are reversed by the Meuse-Argonne Offensive and end of the war

Battle of Asculum: The Epirotes won, but took such heavy casualties, which they couldn't replenish like the Romans easily could, King Pyrrhus of Epirus had to abandon his campaign against the Romans; this is where the term "Pyrrhic victory" comes from

Battle of Eylau: Both sides got absolutely slaughtered, but the French ultimately took Eylau and eventually defeated Prussia

First Battle of the Isonzo: Neither side really won and all it lead to was another 11 Battles of the Isonzo before the war's end

Battle of Jutland: While the Germans lost less ships-11 to the British's 14-they also were the ones to retreat, so in the former regard, they won, and in the latter regard, they lost; this also meant they failed to break the British blockade of Germany

Tet Offensive: North Vietnam and the Viet Cong failed to make gains in South Vietnam or trigger an uprising, but the offensive pretty much killed off American public support for the war, ultimately leading to their withdrawal and North Vietnam's victory

Operation Market Garden: The Allies failed to complete all of their objectives, but the only real outcome was that they couldn't expedite the end of the war-still won, it just took a lot longer

Battle of the Pusan Perimeter: UN forces managed to hold until the landings at Inchon and subsequent offensives pushed North Korean forces away from Pusan

TIL in 1989, 10-year old Sarah York became Manuel Noriega's pen pal and received an invitation from him to visit Panama. She did so twice, albeit the second time was as a family vacation, not on invitation. Today, she teaches Spanish in Golden Valley, Minnesota.

A Dream Deferred: Iberia/Spanish National Junta AAR

If you're wondering about the date, I let the game continue to run past 1973 because I wanted to see the outcomes of the civil wars in Kazakhstan, Sudan, and Azania, but eventually, I just accepted that they weren't happening any time soon.

Why does Franco having a bad dream worsen Iberia's stability as much as emphasizing the Union and increasing foreign trade improves it?

Addendum: I think the new system is a good compromise

The Killer can actively apply Sin with their power, or Survivors can gain it on their own by BMing the Killer. Not only does that feel even more thematically appropriate, it’s really fucking funny to me, even if it is weaker, and using your power to apply it I suppose is more interactive.

Carry on, BHVR.

Is there anything they could do which either A, is bad, but not considered of the Dark Side, or B, is considered of the Dark Side, but is either relatively minor or could be covered up?

To cut to the meat and potatoes of why I’m asking this, I’m currently on the planning phase of a fanfic and a concept I have for one of the OCs is that their master was abusive, but they thought it was just part of the training process and didn’t realize it wasn’t normal. I’m trying to work this in in a way that wouldn’t assassinate the character of the Jedi Order, or at least would harm it as little as possible-canon is malleable in fanfiction, but I prefer to only reshape it if I have to.
