Bluetooth cant detect battery in game controllers after a recent update

After an update last week on fedora 44 kde, I cant see the battery percentages of wireless game controllers, does anybody face a similar issue? is there a solution?

cat /sys/class/power_supply/ps-controller-battery-*/capacity
45

does this mean it is a kde issue?

Do you play current AAA games in GOG/heroic? how is your experience?

I wanna split my purchases between steam and gog not to depend on one store, you never know when any turns doctor evil on us..

I currently own/run older/easier to run games on GOG, worms and the like. I wonder how current games like cyber punk or death stranding run on it

AMD cuts funding on a project that translates CUDA to AMD GPUs

The story on Tom's Hardware. Could someone explain the logic behind this weird move, this could have made ALL Ai code easier to run on AMD.

AMD cut its finding in 24, project survived on a private donor who just pulled the plug.

are we gonna have normal app names or are we stuck with the scooby theme?

Web 2.0 led by Google cursed us with the ScoobyDoo era of naming apps and services. today i was genuinely confused when someone told me they use Floorp. I thought it was a robot vacuum, turns out it is a firefox spin.

Are programs ever going back to normal names, or are we just trapped forever in the age of Floorp, Zoho, Hulu, Bebo, or whatever nomnomopia that comes next?

edit: the person who called me old and deleted the post lol, get off my lawn! i was there when msn meant something

has anybody done comprehensive work about online bot activity?

In 2013, a leaked twitter report claimed around 30% of activity on the platform was not “natural”, so either sock-puppet accounts pushing narratives,or bots.. the report didnt specify.

every now and again security researchers catch bot networks pushing political narratives, around 5- 10k accounts each. Now, more voices are claiming that 50% of the movement on the web whatever that means is generated by bots. Beyond broad claims and speculation, has anyone seriously investigated this?

Do you use suse with llms and rocm? how is your experience?

llms with rocm library are native with ubuntu and well supported in fedora, I have been warned against migrating to suse because neither are well supported in it. is this true?

I have been seeing the word rice and linux being thrown around together in the wilderness, even youtube this morning suggested to show me some linux rice!

I need to ask now before it is too late to know!

LTT videos have so much.. video in them!!

I hate it. Why is there so much video in your video? Can’t you have less video? and audio? in this economy? That’s money burning. There are starving videos in Australia, you know! they’re upside down, for that matter.

I HATE LTT.

system stutter with random gpu 100% use spikes

I have been using fedora plasma for weeks now, I am currently relaying on the igpu in amd 7700x on my machine with 32g ram. Randomly (for days) i noticed random system stutters, the only abnormal thing i see in system monitor is 100% gpu use spikes. I am not doing anything system intensive currently, mainly browsing and office use.

any idea what could this be

Brothers.. Sisters.. and those in between, your Ai use is obvious!

I have been online since dial-up days, for digital geezers like me online posts look a certain way including "wall of text" type of posts. The last 18 months I saw an explosion of longer buzzwords stuffed posts 100% made by ai, and it is annoying.

At this point I find myself reading half a sentence and if i smell rust, i skip to the next post, or article. I know bot accounts, and marketing companies trolls are all over the place but i am tired and I am here to tell you, we can smell your posts.

is Konqueror still used?

It didn’t come included with Fedora or Kubuntu, it used to be bundled "back in the day". User reviews are split between one and five stars. What’s going on with it? Is it still any good?
