USA taunts, jabs and other silliness - MEGATHREAD

Hello friends,

The mod team - all two of us - wanted to first say thank you for making this a wonderful community. Your engagement and support is awesome and we appreciate you all!!

We wanted to create a megathread in which to post the more rage baity of the rage bait going on in the media these days. You know, hydronyms, 51st state rhetoric and ass-kissing responses. In short, sensationalist headlines with little substance. And there's a lot of them.

So please, if you've got something of that nature to share, please house it under the megathread. It could be fun to make up an entire book of that someday in the future. The Canadian Coffee Table Book. I can see it now... Anyway, not trying to curb freedom of expression, we just want to keep the *important* stuff front and center.

Please be advised that anything of the nature *NOT* posted in the megathread will be removed under the heading "spam" . We are unable to move things posted in the main sub to the megathread so just a heads up if you're a big fan of crossposting from other subs.

Thanks y'all!

Have a great day and be kind to one another.

Alberta, Sask. politicians head to the U.S. for conference, trade advocacy

>Alberta Premier Danielle Smith is set to meet with U.S. officials next week, after recently saying she wants to see Canada double down on diplomacy and avoid any further escalations of their trade war.

>Smith’s press secretary, Sam Blackett, said the premier had a previously planned personal trip to the United States but will take time out to speak with the officials, alongside Alberta’s senior U.S. representative, Nathan Cooper.

>Blackett said in a statement Friday that they will meet with the commissioner of the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development, the head of the Nashville Chamber of Commerce and the CEO of the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp.

Convoy Twitty!

I have stolen this from someone somewhere, and I apologize for not being able to credit that someone for their joyfully accurate sentiment.

But I do thank PP for this super duper awesome get-up, as it inspired the quote, FOR SURE!😉 Thanks, buddy!

Just thought I could share a wee giggle with some of y'all.

Albertans on disability payments receive wrong amounts for August

Between what Danielle Smith has done to healthcare and this role out to "help" folks on disability (AISH), she is proving to be as ghoulish the American regime. With about as much forethought and skill in execution.

I sure hope that landlords can have a little understanding for the next few months. These folks need some grace and help from their communities now.
