Major props to _ during the FTC

Emily

I really felt like she was the only one who wasn't pushing an agenda for a certain contestant during FTC and was truly able to see the high and low points of each one of their games. Its kind of funny because I felt like the biggest thing I didn't "love" about Emily in 45 was I felt like she got a little ridiculous at FTC with her love for Dee and dislike for Austin. I love Emily but how she acted at FTC last time I didn't love. I saw the complete oppsite of that in her this time though and that she treated all three finalists with a lot of respect and wlloed their voices to be heard, something that I CANNOT say for the other jurors. In a FTC where it just felt like a bunch of people advocating for the person they liked best/trying to drag down who they don't like, felt like Emily actually was kind of breath of fresh air.

My favorite moment I thing was when Cirie was dragging Joe for "you know a lot of us felt like we had to babysit you out there." Emily actually had a pretty good defense of Joe in that "well, but doesn't it speak highly of his game though that you guys all felt you had to go to Joe in order to get permission to do a move." Emily was complimenting and occassionally criticizing all three games and asking for clarification as needed.

I feel like there's something so "feel good" about Arthur

They do a really great job IMO of capturing the innoncence of grade schoolers and its like they're stuck in time where they never age and we forever get to watch them be kids through the different generations as we get older.

Whenenver I rewatch an Arthur episode it immediately makes me feel like a 9 year old again lol

Also, always fun to see different "4th grade problems". I also feel like rewatching and there's definately some "jokes" in the episode targeted towards adults as well

Ozzy's RHAP interview. He really did not talk very highly about Rizo and honestly I'm starting to wonder how much the CizGod of Oz group was actually an alliance of three or it was just Cirie stating her two closest allies in the game. I also didn't get the idea that it was Ozzy saying it out of "bitterness" because he actually said the vote that hurt him the most was Jonathan's, whom he said he seriously bonded with on the island. Really all he said about Rizo was that he felt his ego was a bit inflated and that he doesn't really understand why Rizo loves Survivor when he only played 26 days and hates anything to do with the outdoors. He also said he viewed Rizo as the person who could win against anybody in a FTC.

It really makes me wonder why with how negatively this season has been edited so far for a lot of contestants why Rizo of all people is being shown in such a positive light with little negativity. Pretty much every exit interview from the post-merge so far from the post-merge (including Emily's as well) they've said that they viewed Rizo as the person that anybody felt they could beat at the end.

I also remember Joe did an IG live where he straight up refused to comment on Rizo when asked about him, saying something along the lines of "I don't believe in airing dirty laundry of a person you have issues with live, I believe in calling them and talking to them directly."

The common story that seems to be going around is that Denise claimed she was demoted from lunch lady to janitor which the school district argued with saying that Denise requested a promotion to janitor prior to leaving for China.

Although I was rewatching the reunion and she specifically says that "when I went back I was told that I couldn't have my job as a lunch lady back because the kids would recognize me. I'm working as a janitor now, I haven't been home with my family for dinner now."

She goes into great detail in Talking with T-Bird about what happened but the gist of it that I was understanding was that she was in fact promoted to a janitor prior to leaving but realized that while she was competing on China that she missed being home with her family more and so when she returned home she asked for her lunch lady position back (which still had yet to be filled). She was told no because they were worried about the students recognizing her/that being a distraction. At no point did Denise ever say she was "demoted" to custodian. Also, she had no way of knowing the show was going to give her 25,000 dollars as a consolation prize because they "felt bad" for her, tbh, I doubt she really was putting much thought into her comments on the reunion at all, let alone trying to be deceptive.

I guess I can kind of understand the school district's frustration in that Denise's words could possibly unintentionally not paint the school district in the best of lights (which would be especially frustrating after they granted her leave). But nothing she said was false and I truly don't think she meant any malice in what she said. Beyond that, I also think the school district WAY overreacted in launching a smear campaign against her and honestly putting words into her mouth about what she said at the reunion.

So I do kind of feel bad for her as feel like her story got way overblown and misrepresented in the media.

The prize for winning one of the challenges was that Brooke Shield's character, Wendy, would wear Keith's design on Lipstick Jungle. Anybody know which episode she wore it on?
