just wondering cause of the new direct stream
I feel like I see so many opinions on Manon most of them falling on very far opposing sides. Either people say that she's always been painted as a villain since DA, shes a victim of the industry, the girls and staff mistreated her, and that she was the primary reason that katseye is as well off as they are today due to her popularity from even before the show. On the other hand I also see people saying that she's never been built for the idol life, she was not committed and lazy during DA and during katseye performances she underperforms, she was getting unfair treatment compared to other contestants, the girls had every right to be mad at her. Whats ur opinion?

a lot of people told me to change my location to stratford and guelph cause kitchener fails a lot of people but its def possible to pass first try at the harder locations as long as u practice and watch the videos, it was really straightforward. also i cant really figure out the marking sheet what were my mistakes? ik i messed up my parallel park but other than that i cant figure out the rest
not hating on her or anything i love trinity but she recently did this on wwhl. ik a lot of love island fans call them the core 4 just cause they like them and have a good relationship with each other and are all friends but imo it was kinda weird to see trinity reference it in real time saying that she talks to the core 4 daily especially cause kenzie was an og girl and is always excluded from the core 4 and i always thought they were close in the villa so maybe thats changed idk
im an incoming student for cs and idk which one to choose. I currently have info sec selected but im honestly just looking for the one that provides some stability and a well paying job especially with the uncertainty in the cs market and all the tech layoffs. If anyone has any advice or has heard anything from people in the majors/specialists rn id appreciate it
Obviously Ik if ur below ur at risk of losing ur offer but is it automatic or like a case by case basis cause what if ur just a percent away from the conditional or smt
utm recently announced that as of this year, students applying to cs must submit a supplementary application and they are introducing a new "direct entry stream" that is meant to replace the old competitive post system and mimic the utsg cs stream. This means it'll be a lot more competitive when applying from highschool as you are guarenteed a spot in the program unlike previously where it was easy to get in from highschool and you would have to compete for a spot after first year, with historically only about 20% of students getting a spot in the old post system. They also now have the same requirments as utsg cs I believe with a 70% in csc110 and a 77% in csc111. Is utm cs comparable to utsg cs now, or is utsg still considered superior for cs.
Hi i got accepted into direct entry cs at utm and post has changed at utm for next year so that it imitates the utsg model (competitive hs admission, lower post requirments) I tried asking on the utm sub but since the prereqs for post are csc110 and csc111, nobody had any idea cause these will be completeley new courses being introduced for the 26-27 year at utm though ik that utsg students have been taking it for a while now. so for any utsg students who have taken csc110 and csc111 and passed, any advice? im really scared ill drop below the 70 (for csc110) and 77 (for csc111), how can i prepare, are there any online resources or notes so i can start studying early, and advice? thanks so much
if so what was ur top 6, just tryna see if the program has gotten more selective cause its direct now
hi im an incoming student who will be commuting for cs (direct entry). My commute is long, over an hour, and id like to commute to campus as little as possible. Does anyone know if its possible to put my classes for 3 days a week or even 2. whats the absolute minimum, i tried the time table builder for fall 2026 but it wont work for utm for some reason no courses show up. I only have till june 1 to change my mind abt my offer and if i have to commute all 5 days i likley wont take the offer, plz lmk if u or anyone else yk is doing 3 days. tysm
i got into utm cs early feb and im kinda unsure abt whether i should do it. On one hand i hear its respected as u have the uoft name and also its easier this yr cause they got rid of post but i also hear its the worst out of all the campuses and utm grads dont go as far at utsg grads and id also have to commute an hour to get to utm. My only other closer option would be laurier cs or uw life sci (with a computing minor option). what would u do
i got into utm cs early feb and im contemplating whether i wanna go, ik this yr will be direct entry as they r copying utsg cs but will post still be hard to meet, as well as applying to coop? Id have to commute an hour to utm, i do have closer options (laurier cs, guelph comp eng) so im just wondering if its worth it, ive also heard utm is the worst out of the 3 campuses so will that affect me?
I got into utm cs in early febuary. I know that this yr its changing to copy utsg system so that its direct entry but how will it work will post still be really hard and also applying to coop? Also does your campus matter, I have other closer options (like guelph cs and comp eng) as I have to commute an hour for utm, im jst wondering if its worth it as ive heard utm isnt as good as the other campuses.
im incoming for utm cs and i feel like i hear a lot abt people on the st george campus but i wanted to know what grads from utm specifially r doing after cs. Was it hard to get a job or even coop? thanks
I'm currently a senior about to graduate highschool and am considering two main offers I have gotten: University of Toronto Computer science (M campus) and University of Guelph comp eng. Guelph is closer to my house and less commute, also easier classes, and also eng i feel is more diverse (hardware and software elements) however most people have never heard of the university. UOFT tho is further (a little over an hour commute), its also more difficult but it has much more prestige (especially in the us and bay area where i plan to work). Im really conflicted as I don't know what to prioritize or choose. Ik UOFT is more recognizable to bigger tech companies but how much does that really matter. Any advice?
To anyone in or who has graduated from utm cs how was ur experience? Would u say the degree was worth it? Does the Uoft prestige help with jobs especially if you want to work in the us (Bay Area)? Also would u recommend the degree to the incoming class of 2026 (especially since cs is direct entry now) why or why not
