Ever since I played For Honor back on release I've been addicted to its combat system. Granted I no longer play it (I don't enjoy PvP games anymore) I would absolutely love to see a single player open world game utilizing its combat.

To me, it is one of the most fluid, cinematic and hard hitting combat systems in medieval type third person fighting games. Nothing has come close to how badass I felt when doing executions and combos in the game.

I do know that it has a "campagin", but it is very short and more of a glorified tutorial than anything else.

Thoughts?

First time I played DL2 was on release with a cracked version on my old PC that could barely do 20fps.

Now that I have a beefy PC I bought the game on Steam Summer Sale and went in but, I feel like the beginning is missing?

I might be remembering wrong but when I played it last I remember starting off by running away from zombies and then jumping a broken bridge.

Now I just woke up in like a tower?

So I got the Gamesir G7 HE like a month ago, and the LB is starting to give in. It has become a bit mushy and not always responsive when pressed down.

Not sure if this is a known issue, but I did get some T6 Torx Screwdrivers to look around opening and fixing it.

In the meantime I also ordered the Tegenaria Lite because my favourite controller of all time in terms of ergonomics is the DS4 and this looked really similar.

My question is for people who have experience with both controllers, which one did you find better? I'm playing on PC, and I do not mind wired so that isn't an issue, I'm just talking about overall ergonomics, features and durability.

AC had been my favorite game franchise of all time, but after Origins I stopped caring.

Odyssey didn't click for me, Valhalla and Shadows too. Mirage was fine but, that's it.

Seeing the reveal that AC Black Flag is getting remastered a couple of months ago had me rubbing my eyes and pinching myself to make sure I was seeing things correctly.

Now with it coming out in less than 2 weeks, what excites you the most about it?

Personally I cannot wait to see how they have expanded on the ship customization/combat. God there has not been another pirate game with ship combat like Black Flag.

I'm also quite excited to see how they have updated/changed the story. Personally (and I might get shit on about this) Black Flag's story is the best in the whole AC franchise. Seeing Edward go from a lowly privateer to a bigger and better man, fighting for something more than just himself is amazing.

I'm thrilled to see what they bring.

This game has been on my radar for a very long time. I finally got around to buying it a week ago.

First of all I should start by saying the game is amazing. True, it does have its issues, which in my opinion are mostly around the story (the way its told, not that it isn't interesting) and the graphics (the game seems to be a lifelike image at one point, and then a watercolor stew in the next - I'm on PC).

That being said, it's the first game in years that I'm actively thinking about when I'm at work.

But one thing I noticed is, when I actually get around to playing it, I'm scared to boot it up.

This had been messing with me for the whole week. I thought to myself - "The game is amazing, it's everything I've wanted, why can't I just get into it?"

And then I realized - I'm getting older.

I'm no longer that care free kid in high school that only had school, the gym and video games to worry about.

I have a girlfriend, pets, a job that requires my brain to be on 8 hours a day with a lot of information, family problems, chores and a whole heap of other shit I have to deal with, so when I get to playing a game my brain is begging me to turn off, not to work for another 2 hours.

So looking at people talking about how they're already 200 hours in, are debating endgame builds and content put me off even more. It felt like I was lagging behind and could not catch up.

But in the end I said to myself that, this is my game and my journey. Who cares if it takes me one hour to get familiar with one system? Or do 2 quests in the span of a whole session?

So for people who are struggling with how massive and dense this game is, with how many in-depth systems it has, just know that it's for you to enjoy. You're not competing with anyone.

Stick with it, and enjoy it. Take it slow, it's one of the best gaming experiences I've had in years, and comfortably takes Game of the Year in my eyes.

Hey everyone, I'm trying to decide which game to pick up. Here are some of my favorite games of all time, note that I did absolutely love everything about them, but these things stood out the most:

RDR2 - setting and open world, love how alive it felt

The Witcher 3 - story and side quests, absolute best writing i've seen in a video game

Elden Ring - freedom of exploration and combat

Metro Exodus - immersion

So, which of these two is better suited for me?

I just got RDR2 on my PC after firstly playing it on my PS4 8 years ago, and damn this game is beautiful. I'm running it maxed out at 1440p, 120fps almost everywhere, but damn if it ain't blurry.

I tried a bunch of fixes online and what for me looks the clearest is setting TAA to medium and using 1.25x resolution scale, but this drops my performance by 30-40fps. I did lower lighting quality and shadows to high instead of ultra, and now its hovering at a pretty stable 90fps all around, but it still drops a bit in heavy foliage/city areas.

Just wondering if there is any other fix (be it in-game or a mod) to get the game looking sharp while preserving performance?

People who have issues post, people who don't, don't.

So that's why I'm making this post, I have been using my 9070 XT for 6 months now and it has been great, literally chews through anything I throw at it.

I did have some driver issues, but they were mainly MY FAULT and I had been doing something wrong, not the driver itself.

That's all!

So my girlfriend who mainly plays competitive games (LoL, Valorant, CS) wants to try some single-player games.

I've been trying to think of some games to recommend to her, and what comes to mind is RDR2, Dishonored, Witcher 3, Last of Us, Days Gone, some AC games and some older COD games since she is familiar with shooting lol.

What I think she will like is:

- a strong narrative

- easy to get into games with modern gameplay

- nothing too system heavy and complex/difficult (souls games)

- not extremely long (at least for now)

So, any suggestions? TYIA!
