for the past few months i’ve been waking up with random anxiety and a lump in my throat. i’m sure lots of you know that anxiety symptom where your throat tightens up while you’re nauseous, it feels like you’re holding back a gag.
i spoke to my anxiety, challenged it like people recommended, and the nausea and anxiety simmered down almost completely! i was able to eat peacefully this morning without a worry in the world knowing i have control over my mind & fear. i’m feeling proud considering that morning anxiety always had me stressed and overthinking.
i’ve been doing a form of exposure as well, slowly but surely. i’m mostly scared of the symptoms my anxiety triggers. so ive been getting used to my main triggers all while settling my nerves.
generally looking at things with a positive attitude has been helping lots. fear is definitely what feeds my anxiety, so i’m slowly taking that fear away.
i’ve got a concert this month, it’s in 11-12 days if i remember correctly. i’m very excited to see this band and ive been wanting to for quite a while.
unfortunately panic disorder decided to jump on my tail this year,,, so ive been going through 2-3(?) months of healing and learning.
i want this concert to be enjoyable and full of memories.. not memories of me searching for the nearest spot to puke just in case my panic attack is all too much lol. (and yes, i’ve done that at a concert before. i believe i may have emetophobia..severe or mild, no idea, i just know i absolutely freak when it comes to feeling slightly nauseous)
is there any way to tackle this anxious feeling before or during the concert? i’ve never thrown up from anxiety or panic, but the thought of it drives me insane. i go out of my way to avoid physical symptoms of my panic attacks, the main ones being dizziness, bloating, and mild to severe nausea with throat tightness. i’ve gagged twice from a panic attack before, but that was because i was extremely overwhelmed and freaking myself out. ever since then i haven’t, but it’s stuck to me.
i keep freaking out and thinking; ”what if i throw up during this concert?” or, “what if i have to leave and i end up disappointing everyone who goes with me?“ and lastly, “what if i get too overwhelmed and freaked out?” the main three ive been thinking about nonstop. i’d love to know if other people experience this, or if there’s any way i could go with the flow through this?
today i was met by something thats triggering to my sensitive unregulated nervous system. of course it went from an anxiety attack to slowly switching to a panic attack.
the reason i have this flair is because i handled it so much better than i ever have. i was told that sharing achievements could help my journey of healing. im feeling proud of this moment. i sat there for a moment and realized that i was handling it rationally and better than ever. the nausea and dizziness had me in a stump, but physical discomfort always has its way to bother you. mentally, my head wasn’t racing like it used to. and when it overwhelmed me, i took a moment to breathe and let it pass. it’s such a relief learning that your thoughts aren’t necessarily reality. sometimes your mind during panic throws things out of proportions and overwhelms your system. i recognized that i was safe, healthy, and able to handle what i felt. something that’s helped me during this journey is that learning im a work in progress. as long as im working and healing, im doing great.
i haven’t thrown up, passed out, or even died from panic and adrenaline dumps. i’m feeling so relieved and proud after this panic attack. some words of encouragement could help me push forward for future panic and anxiety. <3
i’ve posted on this subreddit a few times. im going down a journey with my unregulated nervous system / panic disorder. it feels like my panicking and OCD jumps to so many things at once, first the scare of being unhealthy, next the fear of vomiting and passing out, next the fear of being overly traumatized. it’s exhausting to say the least. and that alone is just a vague way to describe everything.
i’ve got a dentist appointment in the morning, let’s just say im pretty nervous.
i was met with a panic attack today because i deal with severe bloating occasionally, thanks to EDS, IBS, anxiety, & POTS. of course my panic attacks aren’t just a one day thing, occasionally they are, but my worry of another attack just carries on. thanks to panic disorder, hooray. i’m extremely tired from the anxiety and crying today. the fatigue alone is making me anxious that i’ve had something going on within me all along and im going to pass out within seconds. yet im still here writing.
i need some reminders that im not alone and im not dealing with some kind of horrible inner injury. the thought of having to sit still at my appointment tomorrow makes me nervous and nauseous. i keep asking myself “what if i get into my head too much and i launch myself into a panic attack while they’re cleaning my teeth?” or another fun one, “what if i end up throwing up cause of something wrong with me or just the anxiety alone?” it’s immensely annoying to deal with.
if you see this, i hope you understand what i’m going through. maybe it’ll give you a sense of relief knowing you arent the only one with these ridiculous yet tiring fears. need advice and reassurance (for the millionth time) <3
i was never aware of shallow breasts or projected breasts till i saw this subreddit and many youtube videos explaining how to measure. now, i have no clue if im shallow or projected, but i can give some context to help.
-usually i do not fill out the top part of my cup, whether it fits or it doesn’t.
-when i lean my breasts barely change shape. if they do i’d say maybe a slight bit of a U shape.
- my leaning cup is slightly bigger than my standing cup
- im definitely a far set. i can fit three fingers in between where the tissue rests.
- i carry more fat or breast tissue around the sides and bottom.
- may be unnecessary to include, but whenever i look down the appearance of my breasts seem larger since the bottom is filled out.
measurements:
loose underbust: 31in
snug underbust: 30in
tight underbust: 29in
standing bust: 35in
leaning bust: 36in
lying bust: 36in (maybe 36.5 or 37.)
the calculator told me i’m a 30DD/DDD (US chart) sister size being 32D/DD.
ive been wearing the bombshell bra from victoria’s secret for so long now, its a c cup. but i can’t fill out the top part of the bra. i’ve been really frustrated and insecure about this. the side profile of my breasts seem so small, the same for my front profile.
really need help finding a good bra for cleavage. maybe some reassurance as well haha. been feeling so insecure about my breasts for so long, i feel like ive been cursed. information and advice needed <3
many things in a matter of months happened to trigger one huge panic attack. after that, i couldn’t stop obsessively thinking about triggers. im in a rough situation; i got thrown into a panic cycle. i’m currently getting out of it, but it’s exhausting. that’s why i’m here for support and motivation to keep going.
my nervous system is unregulated, been that way for as long as i could remember. so as you can imagine im quite sensitive to heavy emotions. of course my OCD just worsens this. i cant stop obsessing over negative situations. i just now got out of obsessing over my past, made me nauseous till my heart would race. now im stuck obsessing over my future, my health, and my current situation.
im so nervous that im permanently traumatized due to past events. but i dont exactly know why, it feels irrational. of course i’m traumatized, literally everyone is, that’s what life hits you with unfortunately. but i keep freaking out like im completely doomed and unfixable while im actively working on stepping forward with my trauma/hurt.
i really need motivation and support. i hate feeling alone, and i think that a big part of this obsession is because i irrationally fear that im completely alone with these hurt feelings, permanently damaged, and never going to feel relaxed again. need some reminders that i’m not the only one with fears and heavy feelings. <3
recently i found out that many people within my family carry eds. so i went to get diagnosed, several and several appointments later, i have it and so does my mother.
i was wondering why eds causes an unregulated nervous system? i was told by medical professionals that im more prone to anxiety disorders and panic disorders. sure enough i have both.
some days im anxious and nauseous without a reason. like i’m waiting to run away from something scary but it doesn’t exist. but then months later, it feels like my nervous system just regulates again after a bit of coping.
currently struggling with random anxiety/panic and nausea. i’d love some reassurance and medical advice!
would love any form of support. whether that’s reassurance, motivation, your own improvements, reminders that i’m not alone, etc.
i’ve been dealing with a tough situation. like the overthinker i am, it caused a panic loop. im sure some of you are aware of how terrible they are. i’m just now getting out of one of the very rough loops. i’m very proud of this achievement. i still have lingering anxiety, but im doing so much better at handling my panic. i’ve had panic disorder for a while now, and sometimes my panic disorder appears yearly. just to bite me on the ass for a few months till i learn how to cope properly.
i had a bit of a panic attack today, overthought everything i was panicking about weeks ago, got so nauseous and afraid. id really love some support to remind me that im not too far gone and im not alone. i get in these loops thinking im overly traumatized and that im too far gone, but a part of me knows that isnt true. some of your personal achievements or stories would really help to remind me that these feelings pass.
i carried through my panic attack today, didnt tremble, didnt rush to hide somewhere, didnt have horrible aching pain. although it was scary to face, and i still hesitated on certain things out of fear, i survived. most importantly, i ate a meal. one thing about my anxiety, it makes me insanely nauseous. and honestly that’s the worst part of my panic. but i ate a meal, something i could’ve never done before.
any form of support would do wonders just for me to look back on. <3
do people struggle with that anxious feeling or sometimes panic whenever you feel symptoms?
i struggle with POTS, maybe not severe, but i tend to eat a pickle or two a day to keep my sodium levels up. if i dont consume enough sodium of course, ill have an attack and get very drowsy like im about to pass out.
often i forget to drink water and well, dehydration irritates POTS as you might know. as soon as i feel slightly dizzy, basically i panic about losing control of my POTS. is this anxiety normal? i’m aware i deal with OCD, so im just wondering, do other people struggle with this like i do?
id love some reassurance or maybe some advice <3
i have no clue if this is the right subreddit, so my apologies if it isn’t lol.
for health and physical appearance reasons, i wanted to ask the question; should i gain weight? for reference im a woman, 5‘7-5’9, & i currently weigh 118lb. i’ve been unhappy with my appearance for a while now. i used to be 109. i slowly started eating more protein and carbs. while im proud of the progress i’ve made, im wondering if i need to continue in order to reach a healthy weight bracket?
am i considered underweight or just incredibly slim? if so, is gaining weight recommended? occasionally, i’m able to see my ribs from the side, front, and back. although im pretty sure i have a rib flare. unless im incorrect and it’s actually due to my weight.. no clue unfortunately haha.
any advice is appreciated!

it feels like everywhere i go there’s so many women with fantastic bodies. it triggers my bdd, leading me to a negative spiral for the whole week sometimes. it feels like almost every woman has big breasts, wide curves with a small waist, and a big butt. are more people hitting the genetic lottery or something?
it makes me feel so miserable. i know if i worked out i could maintain something like that, which is a good start with positivity. but it drains me knowing some girls just naturally get all of that with no work or sweat. i don’t know if im mistaken and these perfect bodies aren’t just given to them, but nonetheless it still tires me.
it upsets me so badly knowing ill never have curves so wide and great cleavage with a large bra cup. maybe i havent found the beauty in smaller breast sizes, but seemingly people always prefer big breasts. i’ll never be to the standard it feels. for clarification, which i hope isn’t tmi, im a c cup. but i feel more like a b. i’m so small it’s unflattering. i’ve been considering gaining weight to fix this flaw.
is there anyway i could change this negative mindset? i’m 5‘7-5’9 and 118lb. do i need to gain weight to fix my body? will that even help my inner negativity?
ive been really struggling with an anxiety loop recently. absolutely vicious cycle of obsessive negative thoughts and panic attacks everyday. i saw that DARE was a good book to read for anyone struggling with constant panic attacks. they werent lying at all.
the first few chapters were comforting, a promising start for myself. i’m so thankful it gave me relief and a form of comfort during a difficult time. i really do recommend DARE to anyone struggling with panic disorder, especially during a panic loop. it gave me a real look at my reaction to panic; how i always run and attempt to prevent panic. now i sit with myself, defuse my negative thoughts that trigger panic, and give myself a moment to realize the true reality i live in. im feeling really proud of myself for continuing to walk down to recovery and better coping skills. i’m looking to dive deeper into the stratosphere of mental health help books, any suggestions?
