Vietnam - Park Hyatt Phu Quoc is open!

I have my travel to Vietnam in January 2027, I had Meta Muse agent configured for checking availability between Jan 6-9th as Park Hyatt Phu Quoc was accepting reservations only from January 15th. Day before yesterday I got a alert that Park Hyatt Phu Quoc is now accepting reservations in December and then I was able to book three nights at 75,000 points.

Looking forward to this stay as the property looks beautiful in the photographs. I have also booked my stay at Da Nang.

Any experiences or information about both properties?

Why are people becoming so Anti-Modi?

Dear All

I have been noticing a trend where for everything people are just trying to blame Modi directly:

 1. Paper leaks - It was issue due to people under him, yes his government was notified about issues in CBSE website too for marks issue, but at the end he didn't do it directly.
 2. Ethanol - It is a conflict of interest issue with Mr. Gadkari, it was not Modi ji who rolled it out without planning adequate supply chain for transport of ethanol fuel and readiness of pump, it was Mr. Puri.
 3. Other parties MPs and MLAs joining BJP - It is the HR, Mr. Shah who manages it, when we join an organization we also get a joining bonus what is the harm in it and again why should we blame Mr. Modi for it?

Recent few, Madhya Pradesh Land scam, Dehradun road which he inaugurated tanked in within a week, it is not him who built the road, it was few people under him.

Can someone give me one reference where Modi ji transferred some money or asset under his wife Mrs. Jashodaben Modi then I will accept that he is corrupt than just being a meglomaniac

Thanks!

Business traveler looking for weekday evening activities in Tokyo (sports, solo drinks, etc.)

Hi everyone,

I have landed in Tokyo today for work and this is actually my 10th or 11th time visiting!

Usually, my routine is working during the week, taking a quick day-trip or sightseeing on Saturday, and flying back on Sunday. Over the years, I've been lucky enough to explore Tokyo, Kyoto, Hakone, Nara, Kanazawa, Takayama, Karuizawa, and Shirakawa-go.

**What I'm looking for:** Since I've covered a lot of the major weekend tourist spots, I really want to start utilizing my time better after work. I'm looking for recommendations on things to do in **Tokyo on weekday evenings** before I head back to the hotel to doze off.

Specifically, I'm interested in:

* **Sports & Fitness:** Are there any good places where a foreigner/solo traveler can drop in to play badminton, pickleball, or go for a swim?
* **Solo Drinks:** Nice, relaxed bars, izakayas, or areas where I can go out solo for a nice drink to unwind.
* **Other Activities:** Any other casual after-office activities you'd recommend?

**Current Trip Plans:** For my upcoming weekend when I land, I'm already booked for teamLab in Tokyo on Sunday and a Mt. Fuji tour via Klook, so I'm mostly just trying to fill my Monday-Friday evenings!

How would you all recommend I spend my weekday evenings? Are there any specific apps, venues, or neighborhoods I should check out for drop-in sports or a good solo drink?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Fitness First membership for the Sector 65 club.

Hi everyone,

I’m looking to transfer my Fitness First membership for the Sector 65 club.

Here are the details:

Home Club: Fitness First, Sector 65

Validity: Active until February 2028 (about 1.5 years remaining)

Reason for transfer: [Optional: e.g., Relocating / Schedule no longer allows me to go]

This is a great opportunity to get a long-term membership without having to commit to a brand-new contract at current market rates.

If you're interested or want to discuss the price and transfer process, please DM me.

Thanks!

Hotel Recommendations for Vietnam (Jan 2026) – Hyatt Globalist with 2 Kids (9 & 6) + TA Suggestions

Hi everyone,

I’m currently planning a family trip to Vietnam for January 2026 with my wife and our two kids (ages 9 and 6). I’ve put together a rough itinerary with some help from Reddit and Claude, which you can view here: My Vietnam Itinerary

We are looking for some advice on where to stay. Here is our breakdown of nights:

 • Hanoi: 2 Nights
 • Hoi An or Da Nang: 3 Nights
 • Phu Quoc: 4 Nights
 • Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC): 2 Nights

Our Profile & Preferences:

 • Hyatt Globalist: I have Globalist status and a large stash of Hyatt points that I would love to utilize where it makes sense (especially for free breakfast/club access with the kids or room upgrades).
 • Family Friendly: Since we have two younger kids, pools, convenient locations, and family-friendly amenities are a big plus.

Travel Agent Recommendations: One travel agent also gave us a few non-Hyatt recommendations and said are good and economical. Has anyone stayed at these properties? I'd love to hear your thoughts on whether these are good options for a family of four, or if we should pivot to Hyatt (or other) properties instead:

 • Hanoi: Nesta Hotel Ha Noi
 • Da Nang: Cicilia Hotels & Spa Danang
 • Phu Quoc: Night Sea Hotel
 • HCMC: Royal Hotel Saigon

My Questions:

 1. Hyatt Redemptions: Are there any standout Hyatt properties in these cities that I should prioritize booking with points (e.g., Park Hyatt Saigon, Hyatt Regency Danang)? How do they treat Globalists?
 2. Da Nang vs. Hoi An: For a 3-night stay, would you recommend basing ourselves in Da Nang or Hoi An with kids this age?
 3. TA Hotels: Are the hotels recommended by my travel agent worth considering over Hyatt properties, given my status?

Any tips, feedback on the itinerary, or hotel recommendations would be hugely appreciated! Thank you!

Business traveler looking for weekday evening activities (sports, solo drinks, etc.)

Hi everyone,

I'm traveling to Japan from India for work soon, and this will actually be my 10th or 11th time visiting!

My first ever award redemption! Vietnam for a family of 4 + Question on DEL-LHR award rate spikes

Hey everyone,

I’m sharing my first ever award redemption journey, but I also have a burning question about a massive spike I'm seeing on the Delhi to London (DEL-LHR) sector.

✈️ Part 1: The DEL-LHR Mystery (Did things just devalue?) Virgin Atlantic

I’ve been tracking Economy award seats on the Delhi-London-Delhi sector for a while. Initially, I was consistently seeing seats for around 6,500 miles + $50–$70 in taxes.

Recently, the game completely changed. I can’t find anything under 25,000 miles, and taxes have jumped over $120.

Has there been a recent unannounced devaluation or a restructuring of dynamic pricing on this sector?

What is currently the best sweet-spot recommendation or partner program to book this specific sector right now?

🎉 Part 2: Rate My First Redemption (India to Vietnam for a Family of 4)

While scratching my head over London, I pulled the trigger on our first major family vacation using points. Booked a round-trip to Vietnam from Delhi for a family of four, and managed to sneak in a Business Class segment!

The Breakdown:

Outbound (Delhi to Hanoi): Vietnam Airlines (via Flying Blue) | Business Class

Cost: 78,750 Miles + INR 50,544

Inbound (Ho Chi Minh City to Delhi): Air India | Economy Class

Cost: 48,000 Miles + INR 10,000

The Final Tally:

We got a full round-trip for 4 people—with the entire outbound leg flown in Business Class—for a total cash outflow of roughly USD 650 (~INR 60,500) + 126,750 miles.

Considering this covers 4 human beings, I feel like this was an absolute steal for a first-ever redemption. What do you guys think? Did I maximize this well, or did I miss a trick?

Looking forward to your thoughts and advice on the London sector! Thanks!
