Been on pregab for 19days. 25mg x2 wk 1, 50mg x2 2nd week, a few days later I moved up to 50mg AM & 75mg PM. Today I took 25mg AM because I had to take benzos. I’ve been crawling out of skin ever since. Sweating, anxiety and severe inner restlessness- feels like akathisia. Surely this isn’t normal?

I haven’t been on it long enough for to feel these effects surely?? The benzos also didn’t work AT all.

Ps pls don’t say contact dr they are stupid and argued I’m not on “street doses” so no such thing as withdrawls or tolerance or addiction.

It’s actually making me consider weaning off altogether as I can’t imagine the hell of withdrawals if I’ve been on it longer.

Also, it’s quite sedating at the 50mg AM & 75 PM dose. Still no reduction in my chronic headaches and migraines so a lost cause?

Help finding a decent mattress UK! I’m bed-bound. Have severe headaches, neck and back pain…

I bought a simba hybrid and can’t tolerate the stench even after a month so it’s going back. I can’t even lie on it for more than 20 minutes as it starts my chest off. So a mattress that isn’t compressed and offgassing (it also seems higher on one side and sinking in the middle!) I also found I didn’t sink into it enough maybe?

I currently have a spring and memory foam mattress in my room and in the spare room similar and it kills my back and it’s sinking in on one side.

I like sinking into my panda memory foam topper but I get super hot in general.

I’ve been looking at reylon, Harrison spinks and Hypnos. My only worry is will I be able to curl up into a ball in weird positions and sink in comfortably? I sleep very strange, I’m bent on my side with my limbs allover the place.

I can’t test out mattresses as I’m bedridden.

Thanks in advance!

Does status migraine ever break on its own? I’m in 100/10 pain. It’s pure torture.

edit again to say thank you for all the comments!

I have had chronic headaches/migraines every single day for 4 years. But have been suffering extra bad since end of Feb but the pain is 10/10 none stop since Botox injections 5 weeks ago. I know meds can break it but my neuro said end of road and has given me Pregabalin.

Since this has gone on I’ve tried about 5 Triptans including nasal. OTC painkillers. She said nothing else can offer except Pregabalin and a CGRp injection which I have refused for numerous reasons.

So now I’m taking a lorazepam everyday which my neuro doesn’t know about, which isn’t great and not what I want to do but I can’t handle the pain without.

Unable to go to hosp due to very severe ME/ long covid. I’m hoping it’ll break on its own. And that’s all I want to know so I can have some hope.

Thanks in advance.

Edit to say I’m also taking the Pregabalin and it’s doing nothing so far. I tried atogepant and at 15mg 3 days it stopped my stomach working at all and I had a burning rash down my arm.

Hi! Can I ask, what is the point of Pregabalin if you build tolerance and it stops working almost straight away? I’ve been prescribed it for chronic headaches and a status migraine that won’t break and reading up about this drug it just seems like I’ll be causing myself dependence for little reward?

I’m on 25mg twice a day so far and feel nothing for even for my anxiety.

TW: Chronic migraine sufferer for 4 year now (symptoms not typical of migraine but due to length and severity have been dx migraine although I Q that dx). End of Feb pain has escalated massively. Last 3-4 weeks it 24 hours a day-night 10/10 - 0 relief…

I had migraine Botox 3 weeks ago. Think it’s even worse since then too. I am bedridden so paid for a qualified nurse to do it at home.

I am allergic to CGRp
Triptans, beta blockers, OTC pain meds do not work
Lorazepam was working (not what it was prescribed for and neuro doesn’t know about this) and now it isn’t
I asks for muscle relaxants and was told no we don’t give those
My neuro who is a top headache neuro in UK has said we are at the end of the road and there’s nothing they can do. Out of desperation I rang 111 today due to the pain but because I have very severe ME I am unable to go into hosp as it’ll make my condition worse.

I dunno what to do. I am on the verge. I can’t take another day of pain. I wake up and the pain is there instantly.

I’m at a fucking loss. I am suicidal and I have no one to help me. I’m 35 years old. My life is a living hell. Not only am I stuck being cared for fulltime due to the illnesses I have that no Drs understand but I’m also stuck in permanent agony.

I’m on day 5 of sucralfate. I seem to be experiencing more acid (acid wasn’t much of an issue prior to this), burping, nausea and even worse upper stomach pain. My stomach feels hard and tight. I thought it would ease the pain when I take it and it covers the lining but it doesn’t. Is that normal?

I’m taking 1g, 4x per day. I bought it from an EU pharmacy. I’ve been trying to fix this myself. I’m bedridden due to severe illness and Dr isn’t fussed. Is it worth keep going? I’m desperate for some relief and something to help.

Not looking for medical advice, just thoughts on the above re sucralfate.

Thanks in advance.

This is probably a stupid Q but I bought sucralfate sachets from a French pharmacy. I’m going to take 1g 4x per day. There seems to be barely any solutions in the sachets so I can’t imagine it’ll do much. Does this sound right/wrong?

When did you feel a difference?

Thank you!

Has anyone bedbound with constipation and slow motility taken sucralfate and been ok with it?

My upper stomach is permanent agony. I’ve been prescribed PPIs but they don’t work. I don’t seem to have acid. Just a constant gnawing pain which eases ever so slightly when I eat then comes straight back.

I don’t even know for sure if this is constipation or something wrong with my nerves but I have to take laxido PEG solutions everyday to be able to go.

Yes I should be checked out but I am too sick for hospital and it would make me worse (v severe ME/CFS). So just looking for reassurance re the above Q.

It’s £400 private in the UK but I managed to find a French pharmacy that sells sachets.

TIA. Apologies I am unable to reply.

Hi guys. Does the restlessness ever pass? It’s pretty severe 4 weeks in and I’m only on a v low dose. I was on Prozac for 4 years which did the same thing to me. Switched to lexapro and it lessened but I switched to Zoloft for other reasons and it’s flaring bad again. I’m so fed up.

TIA!

Too crowded / mismatched? I always thought I’d be good at interior design but it seems not 😂

I’m bed-bound due to severe ME/CFS / LongCovid. I can’t watch tv or anything. I can use my phone a little and I’m so happy I found this game. About a week in! I haven’t played a game in 5 years due to this. This is so easy to just pop in for a few mins each day.

Can anyone ELI5 the clovers? I keep seeing people talk about a junker. No idea what a junker is!!!

Edit: working my way slowly through the comments when I can. They have made me smile 😊 thank you!!

Hi guys. For another illness I have, low dose aripiprazole is used off label to potentially help. I’m curious if anyone has used abilify and has it helped their migraines?

l've had a permanent headache for roughly over 4ish years now which dip into severe migraines weekly. Since Feb it's been basically none stop. My neuro has said there's nothing more she can do to help me. I can't fathom being in pain like this for the rest of my life.

SSRI switching causing severe restlessness/akathisia-like symptoms stuck between options - need help!

I have severe ME/CFS / long covid and PMDD and I’m struggling with SSRIs. I HAVE to take one for PMDD unfortunately.

Fluoxetine (10mg): caused internal restlessness, muscle clenching, and racing thoughts - I was on for four years then I switched (due to it interacting with a med I need to go on) so I switched to Escitalopram (2.5–5mg) - 4 months - reduced the clenching and helped anxiety more than the fluoxetine, but I became more unwell overall, had worse sleep/dreams, higher pain particularly severe headaches (not sure if this is a coincidence), and developed petechiae/bright red blood spots, mild RLS - due to this I switched to Sertraline (~12mg): after 1 week I now have the same severe restlessness and “crawling out of my skin” feeling as fluoxetine. I actually forgot how awful it was.

Could this be withdrawls from the lexapro? I’m seriously debating just going back on the lexapro tbh because the restlessness is so intense. I can’t speak to my GP as they literally do not have a clue. Would appreciate insights! Thank you!

Hi wondering if anyone can help me find sleep earbuds similar to the anker soundcore A10…

I tried the A20 and they really hurt my ear and I’m allergic to the actual plastic earbud (I know it’s strange, I’m very reactive to things in my ears) but I can’t sleep without them. The A20s are too big and really hurt my ear when I’m sleeping on my side, I’m talking about the actual body of it not just the ear plug bit. Any similar size and material as the A10?

Thanks in advance!

PS I’m in the UK.

Hi guys. I’m using a migraine TENS machine and I have to take it off as soon as I turn it on. It causes a severe pain in one part of my forehead into my eye. I’m JW if anyone else has experienced the same and is it normal lol?

Thanks in advance!!
