Guys, I'm in Moscow and having serious issues with registration. Previously, I stayed in St. Petersburg and moved to a hotel, then another hostel, and none of them provided registration. Now I'm in Moscow and no hostel/hotel is willing to register me due to the missed 7-day deadline.

Questions:

Can I still get registered at a hotel/hostel in Moscow? If yes, how?

I am a tourist. My train is today night from Saint Petersburg to moscow.

Overhere I was able to do pre-booking but in Moscow, most shared hostels asking for full payment but ostrovok app payment stuck while using visa, Master cards.

Previously, we have only worked with clients from the Gulf countries — everything was simple: WhatsApp, verbal agreements, flexible conditions. This is our first time dealing with Russian employers, so we want to approach it seriously and properly.

We have already translated our website and commercial brochures into Russian so that clients can understand our services better. We speak English, but unfortunately we don't know Russian — we are hoping for interpreters at the event.

Questions for those with experience:

1. This is our first event with Alliance Expo. Has anyone attended their expos or similar B2B events before? Do companies actually sign real contracts at these events, or is it mostly just networking and exchanging contacts? How can we effectively close a deal during such meetings?
2. What matters most to Russian employers when choosing an Indian agency? Which clauses in the employment contract are critical and need special attention? Is notarized translation of the contract absolutely required?
3. What are the hidden pitfalls in negotiations with Russian companies that we should know about in advance?

And most importantly: If any of you will personally be attending this expo, or if you run a recruitment agency, or if you have direct contacts with companies currently interested in hiring Indians — please DM us. Я пользуюсь переводчиком, поэтому извините за возможные ошибки. Мы — два парня из Индии, представители небольшого туристического агентства . Прилетаем в Санкт-Петербург ночью 8 августа, в Пулково. Едем на бизнес-выставку Indo‑Russia Talent Bridge, которая пройдёт 12–13 августа в Grand Hotel Emerald (Суворовский пр., 18). Организаторы предоставляют проживание на 3 дня, но мы пробудем в городе 5 дней, поэтому ищем дешёвое жильё на оставшиеся дни (или на весь срок, если получится). Мы не привередливые, нам не нужна роскошь — просто чистая, безопасная комната, хостел или недорогой гостевой дом, чтобы сэкономить деньги.

Очень просим совета по трём вопросам:

Обмен валюты: У нас наличные доллары США. Карты (Visa/Mastercard из Индии) не работают. Где в аэропорту или в городе выгоднее поменять доллары на рубли? Стоит ли менять небольшую сумму в Пулково на такси, а остальное в банке в центре?

Сим-карта: Где лучше купить российскую сим-карту (МТС, Билайн, Мегафон) для интернета и звонков на 5–7 дней? Можно ли это сделать прямо в аэропорту ночью или лучше днём в салоне связи? Нужен просто стабильный интернет.

Бюджетное жильё: Подскажите, пожалуйста, недорогие хостелы, гостиницы эконом-класса или апартаменты недалеко от центра или от станции метро Площадь Восстания. Мы вдвоём, парни. Главное — чистота, безопасность и возможность оставить вещи. Бюджет скромный.

Если есть какие-то важные советы для иностранцев в Петербурге в августе — тоже будем благодарны.

Мы говорим по-английски и на индийских языках (хинди, телугу).

so i was tryna figure out how to ssh into my laptop thru my phone and an ai told me about termux. kinda blew my mind ngl, didnt realize u can basically run full linux stuff on android??

so now i wanna go all in. im gonna run my auto operations and my zero claw bot right from my current phone. i mostly just use my mobile hotspot to connect to my laptop (sometimes regular wifi tho). want to be able to connect to the laptop and just operate the termux stuff without the connection dropping all the time.

also I got a bunch of old androids in a drawer. im def gonna turn them into mini servers now lol.

anyone here run a setup like this?? mainly need to know:

• how do u keep ssh stable over mobile hotspot?
• any must have packages or random termux tricks i should know?

Recently we got an offer from a Delhi event organiser asking ₹2.25 lakh just to attend an expo – but it smells like a middleman with no real jobs behind it.

I want to ask you directly: if a small Indian agency wants to connect with genuine Russian employers who need unskilled or semi-skilled foreign workers, what’s the right way? Do Russian companies advertise on certain job portals? Is there an association we should contact? Any government department that matches foreign agencies with employers? Or is this market not really open for unskilled Indian workers?

Honest advice would mean a lot. We’re not looking for shortcuts – just a real starting point. Thank you.

Недавно нам предложили участие в B2B-выставке от организаторов из Дели за 225 000 рупий – выглядит как посредник, за которым нет реальных вакансий.

Хочу спросить напрямую у вас: если небольшое индийское агентство хочет выйти на реальных российских работодателей, которым нужны неквалифицированные или полуквалифицированные иностранные рабочие, как это правильно сделать? Есть ли какие-то российские сайты-агрегаторы вакансий, где публикуются такие заявки? Есть ли ассоциации, куда можно обратиться? Может, государственный орган, который сводит иностранные агентства с работодателями? Или этот рынок по факту закрыт для неквалифицированных индийцев?
