The cross brace piece on my gunhaulers broke during assembly- what alternatives have people come up with?

I paused the vyper and shut it off at night, next morning I switched it back on and pressed "resume." When I came back after a few minutes it was printing several inches above the print, accomplishing nothing. Stock firmware.

The PA Pattern comes out fragile and unreadable. I've checked my settings, the PA advance box is checked.

The printer nozzle drags across the bed, even with a 1.0 z offset. The strain gauge looks fine, but is that the cause? The problem appeared after replacing the default nozzle with a .2mm.
