I know they can die after closing for a few times and there is like 3 new traps coming up so im not too worried about it but its still a bit sad.

As for the question. My plant is pretty much how it came but i dont see the rhizome.. i know it shouldnt be buried and im wondering if i should try digging dirt from the center to find the rhizome... is it normal for a juvenile venus flytrap to not have a very pronounced rhizome or is it hidden under the dirt?

I have become really interested in carnivorous plants lately and have a juvenile Venus Flytrap. I really want to get a Cape Sundew but im not sure where to buy from. I havent found any sold in nurseries nearby so ill probably have to buy it online. Have any of yall bought plants from an online shop and had it go well? Im thinking maybe Etsy but other than that help would be appreciated 💜

I found a sick lookin spider on a web yesterday, and what i thought to be a second spider turned out to be that spiders shedded exoskeleton! I dont know what kind of spider it was but it was super cool lookin and it was HUGE!! anyways thought this was too cool not to share here 😆

They look so good! They even have a timer function so theyll turn on and off automatically :>

Now my flytrap wont need to be taken outside daily to get enough sun >w< they also have a dimming function so i can make them brighter or dimmer and i can cycle between red light, blue light, or a mix which is what is shown here! Im so happy to finally have grow lights for my trap.

I give him outside time for sun until i can get my led plant lights :)

I also gave him a water tray to keep the soil hydrated 👍

This is my new plant! I got it yesterday at Lowes. I used to have one years ago that i had outside but it disappeared.. i think an animal took it or something. Anyways im pretty new to having one of these so any tips would be nice, (i caught a bug and fed it to him and it was so cool! The top trap thats closed has the bug in it) how big of a pot should i repot it in? I have been researching its care for the past 15 minutes and have plans to buy some more peat to plant it in a bigger pot if needed and get an led light as im worried he wont be getting enough sun at our window. I also want tips on how to simulate winter dormancy in a mini fridge, as I live in Texas where it stays freaking 90°F year round 😭

Please give me your best tips i want to help this guy grow to a mature plant. (He is indoors btw)

Apparently theres supposed to be a "no one" option on this screen which will make the mii not develop feelings for anyone, but i dont have that option? I thought not selecting any would do that but miis where i didnt select any still say they might have feelings for another mii and i have to try and deter them from pursuing it. Did they scrap the feature?
