American Kestrel Close-ups - the babies are all so curious.

This girl and her siblings left the nest last week and are far more curious than her parents. She hung out for a while checking us out and set up for some beautiful shots. Enjoy!

Hopefully Reddit compression doesn’t destroy too much of the detail!

American Kestrel babies are all so curious. This girl often flies right at me when I’m out shooting.

Barn Swallows in action + American Kestrel + bonus Red Tailed Hawk

All shot today in my field. Recently harvested the grass, so the birds have been going wild with hunting. The heat haze was absolutely brutal, but these were too entertaining to not want to share.

Anyone else feel the attitude in these photos??

I cleaned and refilled her feeder, and this is the thanks I get! Pretty girl let me walk up to within three feet of her though, so that was nice of her!
