Does ANY McDonald's put orders in these anymore?
They might as well put plants in there, brighten the place up at least.

Like, either Thor honestly, remember that other Thor who fixed Mjolnir(which apparently could've been...FIXED the entire time)? Hope she's doing okay.
Like for the life of me, I can't remember the last time I saw Thor doing...ANYTHING around here, its weird.
I've heard the break up with Jane Foster was tough, that might've contributed to it.
If either Thor reads this, know I appreciate the both of ya, and I miss yas.
LOOK! UP! THE! MANDARIN! He's an ACTOR, Trevor Slattery, who like a decade and some change ago was payed to pretend to be a terrorist for some...exploding...drug company, its very confusing, I barely remember what happened then.
NOW when Damage Control is just HAPPENING to get their new funding for a super prison, they catch "The Mandarin" who did a bunch of explosions...SOMEHOW.
YEAH...NICE try, but I know a staged arrest when I see one.
He was acting when that exploding drug people hired him, he's acting now, and I bet he's just sipping mock mai tais wherever he is (I disrespect him for the ruse, but I respect his journey into sobriety).
Like the family was on the fence on him going over seas to what was clearly a cult, but we were SUPPORTIVE, and to his credit when he came back, WORKING LEGS, playin' basketball and what not!
And THEN...a guy FROM the magical cult from beyond the ocean comes to his house and steals his magical walking power because...THAT is the most dangerous use of magic, just walkin' around.
We have sent SEVERAL inquiries to these weirdos, and they have STILL yet to track to down my uncle's assailant, its RIDICULOUS!
The lesson to be learned here, if you get a chronic illness or injury, do NOT go to the magic people, there's...SOMETHING screwy going on with them.
Was just walkin' to the Elevator, normal ass day, and then I see the weird guy who lives in the attic...walking in what's clearly a lady's tank top and sweat pants with JUICEY on the butt.
And I think " CLEH-whatever, its New York, takes all kinds" but THEN I see my neighbor, and she tells me its CLEARLY her clothes!
Like...WHAT?! I was gonna invite my niece and nephew over, I don't want them near that!
He's also just...ALWAYS in his room, on the computer, ALL the time, machines a buzzing, what SICK crap is going on up there?!
Yeah, I know New York is super cheap now because of all the...EVERYTHING, but I'm gonna try and move back to Jersey, this is too much, this is too much.
I'm working on kind of a terraforming story, and am just reworking in my mind how many different people there should be to maintain genetic diversity.
I'm not gonna name names because I don't want to accuse anybody, but I've seen several Kickstarters where after adding up the bulk of donators who picked rewards, there'd be at least several thousand dollars from donations that DIDN'T pick rewards.
Like, 5000 dollars worth from the people who donated and picked rewards, and 3000 from like only ten donaters who didn't pick anything.
Is it a tax thing, or should I assume something devious? I'm really hoping its a tax thing, because some of the kickstarters I've seen with these discrepancies I actually like.
Classic case of "Just because we serve you, doesn't mean we have to like you."
Usually hotels, but still my water bottle gets down to an ice cube by hour 3 in this heat, I appreciate it!
Like, the Miller run right? Its just weird because I've been flipping between Silver Age and modern stuff, and this ish reminded me of his later retconned origin where he lost Battlin' Jack as a child, and was then trained by the Stick.
Not saying I don't mind the later origin and new mentor Stick as it indirectly lead to the creation of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but still the dissonance can hit you if you're reading it non-sequentially like a lot of modern comic readers like me do.
Not necessarily bad, just WEIRD.
For me its easily Kobolds, Kobolds or house spirits were like fairies who would take care of your house if you feed them, give them a coffee or a beer. DON'T, and your house is MESSED up!
Splash FORWARD to the nineteen 70s, and Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson decide to name their race of dog people Kobolds, later making them lizard people with nary any traits of the germanic myth.
The House Elves in Harry Potter were closer to the original myths, BUT JK made them a weird slavery metaphor and...YEAH I'm mixed on that, both as an adaptation of the legend, and the in-universe implications.
That's just mine though, what's yours?
Also I labeled this fictional mythology because it talks about fictional adaptations of real myths, if that's not the right flair I'll change it.
I feel it'd be a bigger twist if he wasn't, secret relative comes out of the woodwork, but ISN'T a supervillain or tied to anything shady?! THAT would be a surprise!
Sometimes the parody of a character or story can end up oddly overshadowing the original, and its...REALLY funny when it does! More often than not, these series go through MASSIVE Cerebus Syndrome where a parody/comedy becomes more grounded, but often not in a bad way!
1.) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Both the team being a parody of Daredevil, AND their antagonists the Foot Clan who were a parody of the Hand. Be honest, you knew about the Foot Clan WELL before even learning about the Hand, they even have deep intricate lore that RIVALS that of the hand! And hell, the TMNT weirdly became on of the most profitable media franchises of all time, as while Daredevil gets his time in the sun mind, he doesn't have NEARLY the same success that the turtles do.
2.) Kinnikuman: To think this series started out as just a humble parody of Ultraman, where main character Kinnikuman was even supposed to be the bastard son of Ultra Father from the Ultra series(this would obviously change due to copyright). After several story arcs though, the series went from being a gag series parodying superheroes, to a more serious series focusing on "Choujin Wrestling", where superheroes and supervillains would battle in the ring in a mixed martial arts version of wrestling.
The series is so popular, the main character's signature move "The Kinniku Buster" inspired a real wrestling move in "The Muscle Buster". Said move in real life is NO WHERE near accurate to the manga nor anime, but to attempt to do be more accurate would...probably kill the recipient of said buster, so I give it leeway. Not to mention it has several video games based upon it, and a popular line of rubber eraser figurines known as "M.U.S.C.L.E" in the States (which was weirdly the first release of the series to even before BOTH anime).
3.) Son Goku and VARIOUS characters from Dragon Ball: Technically more of a comedic pastiche, but still I feel it counts. Dragon Ball is one of the most impactful media franchises to come out of Japan, manga, anime, video games, horrible live action movies, the WORKS! And weirdly enough, its become just as if not more iconic than the original novel its based on "Journey to the West", especially with Goku being a BIT different than his name sake Son Goku(known as Sun Wukong in the original Chinese). While I love both Dragon ball and Journey to the West, more kids will be yelling KAMEHAMEHA in the future than pretend to bash people's skulls in like the original Monkey King (for real, Sun Wukong was BLOODTHIRSTY, I love it!)
Started out the day, utterly normal, 20 dollar delivery for two small shop & pay orders mostly frozen food...for a supermarket that had to throw out ALL of their perishables...DAMMIT. The damn ice cream section even had POLICE tape around it I think, what HAPPENED to those frozen foods?!
Sundays are my grocery day, I get a good grocery order I'll be set for the whole day, but NOT today. Sorry person who ordered almost all frozens, luck was not on your side, and I emphasize sorry as you clearly tipped by the amount.
The old comics would imply that quite a bit, I just wander if its still true.
I don't know WHY I love that, but I do!
