Does Apple Branded Mail work for anyone?

I have done all the necessary configurations. The logo does show up if I use iCloud web email client but it does not show up in Apple Mail on Mac or iOS or anywhere else.

Apple Support for this is not helpful. I contacted them and after a long delay, they just ghosted.

The suggested similar albums are completely off

I’m playing Gerry Mulligan and it’s suggesting Domi & JD. No matter what I play the “similar albums” are the same.

Amateur player trying to learn again

I started playing classical guitar at the age of 12 and practiced ~5 hours a day every day until age of 25. After grad school, I played much less.

I'm 60 now and I have started practicing again. Has classical guitar technique changed in the past few decades? Do I need to re-learn techniques or just practice more?

VM95ML or Ortofon Replacement Stylus 2M Blue

I have a Pro-Ject EVO2 which I bought a month ago. It has a significant sibilance problem on some records. I have read that replacing the stylus with a Ortofon 2M blue solves the problem but for almost the same price I can get a VM95ML (cartridge and stylus).

Of course, replacing just the stylus is much easier than replacing the cartridge.

What do you recommend?

Do you apply this to your stylus?

A friend told me that it will increase the life of the stylus by 3-4x

Cork Mat boosted high frequencies almost too much

I have a ProJect Debut Carbon EVO2. I replaced the felt mat with CorkIt. High frequencies seem to have been boosted almost too much. Is that to be expected?

CorkIt has almost the same thickness of the felt mat (CorkIt is 1.5mm thick).

Muted High Frequencies

I have Arcam A25 amp and Dynaudio Special 40 speakers. I love the sound but when I was listening to a track in my Tesla, the track has more high frequency components compared to my home system. So I boosted frequencies above 4kHz by 3dB using an HS filter. I think both Arcam and Dynaudio have very warm sound and it mutes high frequencies.

Is that blasphemy or is it justified?

Just updated this climbing tool. Feedbacks are welcome

Just updated the app with several new features and improved algorithm. If there is a feature that you want to be added to the app, please let me know. I've added everything that I personally find useful and also added features that my fiends in my gym who use the app have suggested.
It's free to try with no commitment and it has no subscription.

A helpful tool to spot snoring and gently encourage you to switch positions.

Hi All,

I snore quite a bit. It seems our brain has a way of tuning out our own snoring, so we can’t hear it while we’re asleep. But, unfortunately, others can. And besides being noisy, snoring can have some other negative effects.

I find that I snore less when I sleep on my side and much more when I sleep on my back. I created this tool to listen to me overnight and check if I’m snoring. If it detects snoring, it gently nudges me to change my position and stop. The nudge can be a tap on the wrist using an Apple Watch, or you can choose a gentle sound like chimes or rain.

This has been a huge help for me, and I hope it can be helpful for someone else too. The app is free to try for 3 days, and after that, there’s a one-time in-app purchase (not a subscription). All processing is done on your iPhone/iPad and no data is shared with us.

Also, if there is a useful feature that you want me to add, please let me know.

Good place to buy new records online

I have been using amazon to buy records. Their prices seem to be lower than other places that I have found. I don't want to deal with used records. Are there better options?

What song is this?

Do you know what song is this and where I can find the sheet music for it? I used to play this many years ago but I can’t remember how the rest of it is played. Thanks much!

Pro-Ject "Acryl It" platter for EVO2

Is it worth replacing the platter of a Pro-Ject Carbon Debut EVO2 with a "Acryl It" platter given that the platter that comes with it is non-magnetic?

Beginner Turntable Calibration

I am new to turntables. So, after receiving my Pro-Ject EVO turntable, I bought bunch of tool to calibrate it and make sure the RPM is stable and wow/flutter are within spec.
I am a developer, so I created this tool that runs on iPhone/iPad to level the platter precisely and easily and to measure wow/flutter. I hope it is also useful for a beginner like me out there.

Turntable calibration

After years of using a $100 turntable, I finally upgraded to a Pro-Ject Carbon Evo after comparing my cheap turntable with a Rega 6 that my friend has (and was blown away with the difference).

I needed to level my table and I also wanted to know if the RPM is stable and accurate. Since I’m an app developer, I created an app that does both. I thought I post it here in case it’s useful to someone else too. It’s completely free with no ads. It’s for iPhone and iPad.
