🔥 Calling All BF Vets — BF4 Hardcore Is Coming to BF6 🔥

Who remembers when Battlefield Hardcore actually felt like Hardcore?
I'm putting together a BF6 Portal server built around BF4's Hardcore rules as closely as the current Portal tools allow:
💀 Hardcore Rush
The goal is simple: bring back that old-school BF4 Hardcore experience and have some genuine fun like the good old days.
I'll be opening the servers today within the next hour, and they'll be running throughout the weekend.
🪖 NO BOTS. JUST PLAYERS.
No AI padding the server. No brainless objective spam.
Just humans, communication, positioning, and your ability to survive.
⚠️ The "Rules"
There are no rules. Use your brain.
Friendly fire is ON.
That means you can't just blindly dump a mortar, grenade, or rocket onto an objective without considering where your teammates are. Visually confirm your targets and coordinate with your squad.
With player health set to 65%, gunfights should reward accuracy and weapon knowledge.
🔫 ARs/LMGs: Don't be afraid to switch to semi-auto for those longer-range engagements.
🎯 Snipers: They're going to be harder to spot, so positioning and optics matter.
💨 Thermals: They'll help you find players hiding in certain environments — but smoke is your counter.
💥 SMGs: Their effective range becomes more interesting when everyone's health is lower. Keep that close-range advantage while learning how to tap/burst targets at distance.
🪖 Heavy weapons: Slower-firing weapons can absolutely dominate CQB if you're confident enough to use them.
👥 Squad Up
You can only spawn on your Squad Leader.
So choose your squad carefully.
Pick somebody who actually knows what they're doing and can get you into the fight — or be that Squad Leader yourself.
Communication, positioning and squad coordination will matter WAY more than simply running around and shooting everything that moves.

I'm not trying to create another generic Portal server.
I want to create a place where BF4 veterans can come back and get that Hardcore feeling again, while giving newer Battlefield players a chance to experience why we loved it so much.
