29F just started watching for the first time

ive always known this show existed and for some reason never wanted to watch it even if it was the only thing on tv in a hotel for example. but recently i started watching it and im obsessed and i have no one to talk to about it!! i dont know anyone who watches it. so if anyone wants to share what you like or dont like about the show, how you got into it or maybe your own experience with work like this i want to hear! i grew up near a fishing town so i have always been fascinated by the ocean and the way we humans interact and live with it. I also love boats and all the ropes and chains and heavy equipment and i love watching them have to solve major issues on the boat in such a high pressure situation. its just so cool! like i never knew they sometimes have to weld or fix structural issues out in the ocean. anyways ya just wanted to share how much i love this show 😂

How do I get passed the embarrassment of being a beginner?

I started taking lessons in February and I’m still struggling to get my F chord. My teacher is super nice but sometimes I feel like he thinks I’m an idiot but I just haven’t had a ton of time to practice. I have other stuff going on so I’m just doing my best but I truly feel so embarrassed during my lessons sometimes when I’m struggling to get something. I’m a slow learner in general so this is a challenge for me which is what I want but I don’t know how to not feel like a fucking idiot during my lessons 😭😭

PLEASE HELP I am really struggling

I have a crowned tooth that had a root canal done over a year ago and the area often looks red and puffy and when I brush / floss it bleeds sometimes. I’ve been to my dentist COUNTLESS times about this and he said everything looks good with the tooth and crown and there’s really nothing that needs to be done. I also experience some irritation from the inflammation. My biggest issue is my anxiety. This has given me SO much anxiety over the past year and still with my dentist , hygienist and a specialist telling me there’s no infection and there’s nothing they can do I am still struggling with living with a red inflamed area in my mouth. I don’t know what to do anymore except keep it clean. Is there anything that anyone can say that can help my anxiety about this? It is almost all consuming. I am truly begging for some help / insight

every therapist i've had ends up suggesting medication despite me saying im not interested in taking medication and just want to do talk therapy

i feel so frustrated and feel like therapists make me feel more crazy sometimes. i told my current therapist when we first started meeting that i dont want to take medication. i struggle with anxiety and depression but i choose to handle it in other ways and not take medication. the side effects and process of finding the right one makes me nervous and ive tried them in the past and felt no difference, just a lower sex drive. i choose to do meditation, reiki, talk therapy, time in nature, reading - things like that to work through hard mental health days. because some days i do feel good and i know im capable of feeling good im just dealing with some hard stuff right now. it just makes me feel like my therapist sees me in a really vulnerable moment and chooses to use that time during our session to bring up medication which activates me even more rather than talking me through to a better place where i can feel empowered again and safe. ugh. i just dont know what to do anymore when EVERY single therapist brings up medication!!! like is that their only goal at the end of the day to just medicate everyone?? maybe im being closed minded. i dont know. i just dont want to take medication and i feel alone in that

I swear right before and during my period I’m like holy shit I have a bit of a mustache I need to do something about that but then when I’m not on my period I don’t even really notice it or think about it. Does this happen to anyone else? Or am I just in denial about having a bit of a mustache? LMAO

Had a filling that got infected and then a root canal and crown. A year after the root canal I am still having discomfort in my jaw and redness around the gums. Some days i think it’s better and other days it bother me again. I am filled with so much anxiety and I feel so scared. I don’t know what to do. I’ve been to my dentist so many times and he said he could replace the crown but I don’t think that would help with the discomfort I’m experiencing

i got a root canal and crown in march 2025 and right away had discomfort in my jaw and then some redness in my gum around the crown as well. i went back to my dentist many times and he told me the redness is normal and he kind of dismissed the jaw discomfort i was having. and everyone told me it would just go away and get better. its now may 2026 and im still having discomfort in my jaw and having some random pains in the tooth. i even went to a specialist and paid $500 for a 3D scan and she said all she sees is some "inflammation at bone level" but there was nothing she can do. it does feel like inflammation because i usually feel okay up until about 4pm or if im in a hot room or if my body gets too warm my jaw starts to feel not good. its a bizarre feeling thats really hard to describe but when it sets in it feels like i just want to pull the tooth out. i dont know what to do. i read things online and everyone just says give it time but this has given me so much anxiety and i feel completely alone and like no one can help me. i feel like its gotten better, i do. but its so jarring whenever the discomfort returns because i just want to be passed this and live my life. i just dont know what to do. i even saw my dentist recently and he said everything LOOKS fine. is this something that could get better over time?
