BV diagnosis but clear labs?

About a week ago I started getting vaginal itching, white discharge, redness, skin irritation and splitting. I ended up going into an urgent care, and the doctor said it was most likely BV, but took a swab sample for a lab to confirm. He also gave me a script for metrogel to treat.

The medication has been working, as I’m about 95% better now, but they just called me with the lab test results saying that everything came back clear.

How is that even a thing?

Nails always get like this after gel polish

Anytime I leave gel nail polish on for more than a week or two, my nails get all crusty like this when it’s taken off. Is there some sort of underlying condition? Or is the gel just hard on my nails?

Does hydrocortisone sound right?

Went to a walk in clinic today and was given a prescription for some cortisone suppositories. Everyone here says nifedimine is the what to use, so I asked about that, but he told me to use these for 10-14 days, then we can revisit.

I’m at a bit of a loss on this one, is this a normal course of treatment?

Tried some darker casual dresses today

Had a post yesterday with some older light colored dresses I had in the closet. Had a few minutes today and tried on some darker colors. Do they go well with my skin complexion? General opinions on them?

Getting concerned

Yesterday I had some itching and discharge, but wasn’t terrible. Last night I took a bath, then I used monistat and some boric acid after sex because I didn’t know if it was yeast or BV.

This morning I am miserable, the redness and swelling is really really sensitive. Sex was so painful this morning I couldn’t do it, and just going to the bathroom burns. There is also a big cut running right up the one side of my labia that’s getting worse for some reason too. What the heck is wrong with me???

Casual sundresses opinions

Any opinions on these for just casual wear around the house or running errands? They were in the back of my closet, and I’ve lost some weight, so maybe it’s time to dig them out? Or maybe another 10 lbs to go?

BV? Yeast?

Itchy, sex is painful, skin is sort of tearing in the black circle. It showed up out of no where overnight, at first I thought maybe I was too dry having sex but now the discharge is saying otherwise.

I used some Monistat that helps with the itching, but has done nothing for the redness or pain.

No idea if it’s related but I’ve been dealing with an anal fissure for a little over a week as well.

How do you get ahead of the re-tear cycle?

I’ve been taking a bunch of stool softeners to help go, and use some lidocaine lubricant to help ease things out if I can, but I still am having a difficult time passing anything.

TMI from here on: even with stool softeners and lube, I’m still having hard stools. Once I get some of it out, then everything softens up, but by then the damage is already done. I can literally feel when the tear happens, and I cant stop this cycle of tear, heal for a day or two, retear, heal for a day or two. How do you all manage to get ahead of it??? I’m dreading going to the bathroom at this point.

Sex still uncomfortable even with estradiol cream

I’ve been using estradiol cream for a while now, just doing the twice a week application now. I’m still feeling some symptoms of dryness in certain positions, and even if when use additional lube it doesn’t really help. I only feel the pain, or sort of a tugging sensation on the back side, (posterior?) not the entire area or entrance. It’s a bit hard to explain the sensation.

Is this just a sign to apply estradiol more often? It’s like, it’s helped 90% of things, but I’d like it to help 100%.

Looking to up my daily fiber macros

Can I get some ideas to up my daily fiber macros without resorting to overly processed net carbs? I try and keep my diet “clean keto” as I’m one of the unlucky ones whose body says “oh that’s a starch!” Out of ketosis.

Right now I’m usually having a triple zero yogurt with a good scoop of chia seeds in the morning, scoop of generic psyllium husk or the supplement pills, and have some dark leafy greens with dinner, like a salad or brussel sprouts. Most days I’ll have pecans, cucumber, celery, olives as a snack too, but what exactly varies, so it’s hard to assign a number.

Any thoughts?

So I’m pretty positive I gave myself a fissure yesterday pushing too hard too fast. I’ve had small hemorrhoids in the past, and this in absolutely nothing like that.

This happened when I was going to the bathroom yesterday, I felt it when it happened, and then the blood and pain was enough to give me an anxiety attack. After a few hours the pain settled and the bleeding stopped, I was figured everything was ok.

Wrong. Today I received an education on how wrong that was. Anything involving picking something up, or physical labor, would cause it to hurt. Just going to pee? Ouch. I had another small BM, and it was just a few small pebbles, they may as well have been razor blades, because my gosh, that was just horrible.

I went and picked up some lidocaine cream, and it does help a little bit, but that’s probably not going to help the healing?

I’m reading here about chronic ones lasting 6 months???? This can’t go on that long right? Please tell me these generally get at least a little better after a few days? What’s the best OTC treatment? I didn’t see anything specific for fissures at the store.

Doing a declutter, need a sanity check to keep or donate these dresses. I have the fashion sense of an olive, so don’t ask why I even own these. Finding the perfect proportions on a dress has proven to be impossible.

Had an very difficult BM today that about gave me a panic attack with all the blood. I’ve had streaks and a couple drops from hemorrhoids before, but I don’t even see it now.

It’s been a couple hours and I keep wiping blood, still pretty sore, but can’t see anything wrong?

Am I over reacting?

u/MakingBaconnPancakes — 19 days ago

I’m sorry, yes it’s gross. But It’s got me scared and on edge, but maybe this isn’t that bad? Just had a really difficult BM, and I definitely felt it when it happened, but I still was not expecting to have the TP just full of blood. This was after a couple of wipes. The toilet was like out of a horror movie.

I’ve had hemorrhoids where you get little streaks, a couple drops of blood, but this has me freaked out a bit. Is this an emergency? I really don’t want to pay an er visit for nothing.
