With the uni putting up massive yellow "#1" pillars standing straight up all over campus, the marketing team is getting a bit too bold.

I’ve never seen so many massive #1s (Tops) claiming their territory in my life. Where are the 0s supposed to go?

First the yellow pillars taking over campus, then the Opera House projection, and now I’m seeing this float around online today.
I know we are all riding the #1 high right now, but putting literal collars on USYD and Unimelb is wild. 😭 Please tell me the UNSW marketing team didn't secretly commission this. The disrespect is unhinged lmao.

I’m currently based in Sydney, and yesterday UNSW literally painted the whole city yellow with their #1 ranking ads.

Woke up this morning and saw this floating around on Xiaohongshu with the caption "Monash tuition fees visualized". Honestly, with the amount of money unis spend on marketing budgets these days instead of campus facilities, I can't even tell what's real or AI anymore.

Did Monash actually pay to flex their rank in a completely different state, or is someone just Photoshop-coping with next semester's tuition fees?

They weren't joking around with that pavement sticker yesterday. I walked onto campus today and it looks like a construction site with all these yellow "#1" pillars. Then I see they literally projected it onto the Opera House last night?!

The marketing team has completely lost their minds (and probably their entire annual budget) in the last 24 hours.

Everyone get ready for the inevitable 15% tuition hike next trimester to pay for this. 💸

I saw that massive yellow "Welcome to Australia's University" sign yesterday and honestly thought management was just high on copium. Turns out they actually had the script all along.

The QS 2027 rankings just dropped. Not only did we defend the #1 spot in Australia, but we actually solidified it and went up in the overall rankings. UniMelb and USYD are probably having an absolute meltdown right now.

I’ll gladly take the win and the degree appreciation. But seriously, now that we have the ultimate prestige of being the undisputed #1, can we please upgrade the campus network so I don't have to constantly jump through hoops requesting guest Wi-Fi access every time I'm on site?

They just put this up on campus today (image.png). Since the new QS rankings are coming out tomorrow on the 18th, do you reckon this confirms we jumped up in the ranks again, or is it pure hubris?
