Hi there, incoming 1L at a California school. Just curious about the timeline, given that I was at a quarter system undergrad and don't have much reference for how the more standardized law school schedule shifts "summer." Do they start right when exams end in mid-May, or sometime after Labor Day? Obviously not expecting BL to happen, just wanted to ask since I don't trust the vague AI answer from Google.

Hi all, I'm coming down to San Diego from L.A. in 2 weeks: I love animals, and I haven't been to the SDZ since elementary school, and I want to get a visit in before I start a new job. It will probably be a 3-4 day trip, with one full day at the SDZ and a morning/afternoon in La Jolla before driving back to LA.

Any recommendations for where I should stay for 2-3 nights? I'm trying to avoid tourists/conventions/bars so I know The Gaslamp District is out. I like quirky little shops and really good food. Is Little Italy a good idea? I will have a car but don't want to be too far from the Zoo.

I also love good food but I'm on a somewhat limited budget. If anyone specifically has recs for: burritos, tacos, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, breakfast/brunch that won't break the bank I'd really appreciate it. (Ideally less than $40 per meal at absolute most.)

Does anybody else do this? I'll make a friend, really invest time into the relationship, and then develop some "ick" and instantly start to see the person as stupid (not in terms of IQ, but in terms of lacking common sense or self awareness.) From then on I tend to push away from that person. Some strange combination of dispositional contempt and avoidance.

For example, a new friend admitted that they have a crush on a colleague I dislike. (The colleague didn't do anything wrong, I just think they're arrogant.) I now feel second-hand embarrassment being in the new friend's presence because I see them as "making a bad choice" with their feelings somehow.

I'm aware that this is a "me problem," and it is something I work on in therapy. Just curious if this "quick to form friends, quick to judge and cut them off" is a me thing or an INTJ thing.

Wondering if anyone else can relate. I heard time and time again in psychology courses that attachment style comes from childhood experiences in your first 3 years of life. I had two loving parents, no divorce, no undercurrent of tension, all the healthy things, etc. but I know I'm significantly more avoidant than securely attached. Is it possible that the traits of avoidance (highly independent, feeling smothered by close relationships, quickly bored with people, hating physical touch)... are just innate to INTJ?

Hi all! I'm writing a novel and I've realized my MMC, an obvious 6w5 694, is most likely an IxTP with very low Fe, based on similar characters from existing media. That being said, I have some trouble understanding Ti- I only have Te-Fi users in my immediate family, and any friends on the Fe-Ti spectrum are usually xSFJ with low Ti. It's the function I don't "get" that well. Would love some examples of how you use it in your day-to-day thinking.

Would also love to hear your experiences with "obnoxiously extroverted" types, specifically ENFPs, 8w7's, or 7's in general.

I've seen that advice and I'm curious- is it not better to apply as early as possible?

Was interviewed on 5/6 and haven't heard anything since. I know there haven't been waitlist pulls yet, but I'm getting worried. Would it be helpful or annoying to send another LOCI?

I get introducing one new one, but do I need to get entirely new LORs? Especially academic ones, considering I was already 1 year out of college this cycle. I feel guilty asking people when I already have 3 perfectly good LORs I could use.

This after making me wait four months, be so fr 🤡

Anyone have any insights?
