Is it worth getting this?

Is it worth getting this?

Hi, Probably a stupid question but:

I have an old and rotting cabin in the woods on my property, Do you think it is worth it to spend probably close to an hour in it, moving stuff out of the way to get to take the turntable? It has probably been untouched for over 30 years.

Is this rare?

Hi, I saw someone else post something else like this recently and I was wondering if anyone else has one of these or something similar. I feel like I have never seen someone else drive it.

Will the LG B5 be discontinued anytime soon?

Hi,
I am thinking about getting the LG B5 48 inch tv to finally upgrade from my old Panasonic plasma. I have a Yamaha RX-V571 that I am going to use eARC Extractors with.

I am seeing the TV on Best Buy for $650 and am wondering if I can wait for a sale (like Black Friday) and get it then. I am just worried that it will either end up going up in price or getting discontinued due to the b6 being out.

Is there a player with good HDR to SDR?

I have asked something similar on this subreddit earlier but,

I have a Panasonic TC-46PGT24 1080p 3D TV and a Yamaha RX-V571 1080P Receiver. I also use my Xbox One S as my BluRay Player.

I don't want to sacrifice the ability to play 3D movies. I don't really care about getting a 4K TV as I don't see it as much of an upgrade as my TV is 46", the seats are 5.5' away and my TV cabinet can only fit a 55" TV at most.

I am wondering if I can get a 4K BluRay Player that has really good HDR to SDR conversion and keep getting 4K BluRay's to future proof for the day I end up being able to upgrade everything. Another reason for this is I want the 4K BluRay version of Stranger Things which doesn't include standard BluRay's.

I have heard about the Panasonic DP-UB820k although that is at the very high end of my budget. The UBP-X700 would be better but I'm not sure if it has the same level of conversion.

I have no idea what I'm talking about so hopefully someone can shine light on it for me.

Thank you

Should I keep my 3D tv?

Hello,
I have had and enjoyed my Panasonic TC-46PGT24 46” 3D tv for well, the 3D but I am starting to wonder if I should get a new, non 3D tv because the Panasonic can only go up to 1080p and was made in 2010. I have been looking into getting more 4k blu rays but still want to keep the 3D capabilities. Thank you.

File Sizes

Hi, I am not sure if this is the right subreddit to post this to but I will try anyway,

I have been trying to digitize some of my MiniDV tapes and have gotten through 8 so far by using WinDV with the camera attached to my pcie firewire card. The videos look good but since WinDV is an older software, it still uses AVI, making the 8 tapes take up almost 100gb. I want to put these on my apple photos library (I have 2tb iCloud).

Is there any way that I can downsize these files or put them into a different format like mp4 or mov without causing any drastic/visible change in quality? I do have a MacBook but it is running out of storage pretty fast and I don't want to have more on it than I have to. Especially since Apple likes clogging iCloud photos and videos into my System Files folder

Thank you
