First day back - incredible rage quit at extraction
A+ stuff. Pure cinema.
A+ stuff. Pure cinema.
Have to assume he was going to get more than 6m a year and that he left some $ on the table to return. Great news, much needed bench piece to move forward with.
Title says it all. Watching England now and they’re feckless vs Panama who has nothing to play for. Hearing Lahm’s comments today are a decent summary of the Nagelsmann experience.
The most protected player in recent history. We all now he’ll be out there for game 6 as well
Bill’s exercise of picking the top 10 guys combined in a playoff matchup draft style to play a game that day has become quite popular. I saw a bunch of lists prior to game 1 and I didn’t see a single list that had Hart on it. Almost every analysis of the series with respect to Hart was solely about how Wemby was going to play free safety off of him.
Game 1: 3 points 15 rebounds 6 assist 4 steals 1 block. A game high +22 in his 26 mins. Felt like he single-handedly grabbed more 50/50 rebounds and loose balls than the spurs did combined. A quintessential Hart game. A true dog.
Honorary mention to Towns. Chet caught a ton of deserved flak for his performance in the WCF, but many came to his defense by mentioning how Wemby is just an impossible matchup. A matchup that Towns drew on both ends of the floor. Constantly went at Wemby, beat him off the dribble, and got to the hoop (+14 +/- and you could feel when he was off the floor). On defense he used his strength and agility to stick with Wemby. You could see Wemby was completely gassed and that was in part because Towns made him work on both ends. He’s been amazing all playoffs but that was an extremely impressive game.
I think it’s crazy how many people think it’s a foregone conclusion that the winner of OKC/Spurs will beat the Knicks.
Most point towards the east being very weak. No arguing that, but who exactly have the Thunder and Spurs beat? The hawks are indisputably better than either of the blazers and suns, so point to the Knicks. In terms of the second round matchups, I’d power rank them Wolves, Sixers, and Lakers. I’m sorry but that lakers team without Luka and with Reeves off an injury layoff was awful. 40 year old LeBron playing every other day and them relying on guys like Marcus Smart and Rui.
Yes, the WCF have been played at a higher level than whatever the Cavs are showing, but neither team has completely dominated. Spurs have only been able to win with all timer from Wemby. OKC is now winning for a few reasons, one being that the spurs are committing an absurd amount of turnovers, don’t have a cohesive game-plan, and have an awful bench that hemorrhages points without Wemby.
Knicks have won 10 straight with 10 of last 11 wins by 10+ points. 2nd in offensive rating and 1st in defensive. Tops in 3 point shooting and 60+ a night in the paint. They consistently get contributions from guys off the bench, and perhaps most important of all, they’re healthy and will be rested for the finals. OKC and Spurs are both banged up.
The Pacers took OKC to 7 last year and were arguably poised to win had Hali not gotten hurt. I think this Knicks team is a notch above that pacers team. I’m not arguing that they shouldn’t be underdogs because they should, but this won’t be David V Goliath
I’m so tired of my teammates pre selecting him so we let him get through bans and then the other team’s Dino absolutely diffs ours so we lose.
Your dps have to counter him? That doesn’t matter if your Dino just feeds his brains out. Half of the people selecting this character aren’t even tank mains because the second he get banned they immediately swap to lord squirrel girl or Wanda. Dino is just the new, braindead stat pump character that those people have now moved onto.
I play Emma, Thing and Peni, and I can play punisher and Phoenix, but so can the other team at any decent elo. It’s exhausting losing just because one teammate get’s diffed on a pick or ban character. I can carry another mid tank or a mid dps but I can’t carry a shitty Dino when the other team’s is actually good
Call me a hater but I never understood the Chet hype. It’s been baffling to see people rank him as a top 50 player in the league. If this dude wasn’t surrounded by an mvp and high level role players, he’d be irrelevant. Even that would be a step up from where he is after last night when Wemby essentially sent him into the witness protection program last night. RIP.
Yes, I can notice a slight difference, but I’ve seen many people over exaggerating the nerf. I’m still getting a kill on a support with almost every gun ult, and my ults are almost always solo expeditions where I solo ult the support and I’m the only one securing the kill (once upgraded, ofc). I’m still putting up high damage numbers, and I’m doing this on console.
He’s also strong verse Dino. He’s an absolute Crit machine and you can easily bait him in then jump away when he goes to snatch/grab.
Yes the nerf is lame but it hasn’t gutted him like some are claiming
Favorite part was the opposing cloak completely crashing out and calling us “no skill”, “desperate” and “losers”. Coming from a CD main with 90 hours who finished with the least heals in the match and has a peak of diamond 3.
The jokes write themselves folks
Starting to look like the writing is on the wall - release another large hit box melee tank so they can follow it up and drop the next iconic marvel character, cyclops, as a ranged poke dps who can completely take advantage of the new tank. What a plan!
No offense to the dinosaur, but we desperately need an iconic character to drop as a vanguard and not another large hitbox melee tank to be taken advantage of by poke.
The writing is on the wall. I’d love to be proven wrong, but the chances of the above happening seem more and more likely, and if true, it’ll confirm vanguards are second class citizens here to service the dps playing experience. I’ve been tanking since S0 but this will be the final straw. I’ll still hop on from time to time if I have the itch to scratch for some games, but I’ll be sticking to QP and playing whatever I feel like playing. This game treats tanking like a chore and I’m tired, boss.
This team has completely changed its ceiling by enabling point KAT. We’ve gone from a good offense capable of brilliance if Brunson is shooting the lights out, to an extremely balanced, highly potent offensive machine.
Relying on Brunson and hero ball is not a winning formula. We’ve seen it come close but ultimately fall short in recent years. Many of us have lamented about KAT’s usage in the offense. Mike Brown adjusting the offense and having KAT operate as a point forward from the high post makes this offense almost impossible to guard. It’s also fully engaged guys like OG and Bridges. It’s not a coincidence that Bridges is playing his best and most confident ball since we’ve shifted to point KAT. It’s also helped Brunson - he can play off ball and this helps keep him fresh.
I went back and watched last night’s extended highlights of the 1H. Yes, we shot the lights out, but most of those shots were completely wide open looks generated by crisp ball movement. The offense is playing at a level right now that we’ve never seen.
Another thing worth noting is that the defensive gameplan vs Philly helped to completely neutralize their plan to have Maxey attack while exposing Brunson. By blitzing heavy and doubling at the pick they forced the ball out of Maxey’s hands. It prevented him from getting into a rhythm. Lastly, the Knicks were relentless at attacking Embiid in the PnR. I’ve never seen us operate with such a clear gameplan to maximize effectiveness by attacking a weak point.
Brown’s had his up and downs ofc but this was an absolutely demolition of the Sixers and the coaching staff deserves a ton of credit for bringing that to fruition.

They state she’s believed to be 6-7 months pregnant, which, looks to be about right? When I first heard they were seeing one another while she was pregnant, I figured this was early on. This is wild - what’s the precedent for this when it’s not even your kid? What are the odds he’s the father at this point, +120?
