Fardriver question
I am doing some testing on my bike. I set 80 line amps/250 phase amps/0(max) field weakening and 100% speed ratios beyond my rpm limits.
Why is the phase showing lower than the line current on acceleration?

BBSHD only gives pedal assist starting at 10kph? Is this normal and considered a 'safety feature'?
I tried tweaking the start angle of the cranks, tried 10 degrees, 70 degrees, 180... It's all the same, PAS only will start kicking in at/after 10kph in every power mode. Throttle works from a stop
Who uses this firmware?
Can you please share your tune? My pedal assist takes very long before engaging and I’ve tried tweaking every setting possible, it still takes way too much time
This is my second battery build. Just wanted to share some pictures. I haven’t fully finished packing and taping it up, I want to cycle it once to make sure all is good.
This will mainly be used as a range extender backpack battery for my BBSHD bike. I went with overkill cells because I wanted the lowest Vsag possible with a decent cycle life.
-Reliance RS50 cells 14s4p (52V 20ah)
-UF20B spot welder
-JBD SP17 40/120a BMS
-0.3mm copper bus bars
I am building a 20s4p backpack battery using 21700 cells.
My question is pretty simple. The battery is going to be a 4x20 grid (80 cells total) - but I will be folding it halfway through lengthwise between rows 10 and 11
**at the fold, can I go « overkill » with the amount of wires used as a busbar replacement? The whole pack is using 0.3mm copper 2P bus bars, could I put 4x 8awg wires at the fold? Or will this cause the pack to run in efficiently or out of wack?
Can someone take a look at these and tell if they’re good?
Got them from liionwholesale official website
Thanks
I know it is rated for 48-72V (13-20S liion)
Is it possible to use a 22s pack (79.2V nominal) 92.4V full charge without frying anything ?
No matter what cells or quantity I add to my cart, the only country I can select at checkout is USA. Canada is no longer an option as it once was.
Can someone try it out and see if they have the same issue? I emailed them but haven't gotten any replies yet
Just a few pictures I wanted to share of my P42A 52V 8.4ah pack I made as a range extender for my ebike
I am very overwhelmed. I do not know how to program my BMS. Can someone please tell me what values I need to enter in the app?
BATTERY: Molicel P42A - 14s2p
I did a factory reset, I swapped through the available front display options, I have the latest firmware…. Anybody else ever have this problem?
The camera works fine but the front display only turns the backlight on, but displays nothing.
Brand new shop vac model DXV06P
I can slightly tug and it will fully release the hose. Am I doing something wrong? Same issue on both sides
I have a 72v 7.2kV (5T) MXUS 3K turbo motor.
With self learning mode, it registers 555RPM.
What does ratios in speed do? how do I program it?
At the bottom of this, there’s a “limit speed” value which is below my rated RPM of 555, it usually shows around mid 400’s
**I played with these settings and somehow got my launches to be way more powerful, enough to do an accidental power wheelie if I tugged too hard on the handlebar. I don’t know what I did or how to replicate that
(PC, Forza Horizon 6)
I am unable to see any convoys. If I host my own, nobody can see it. It has always worked for horizon 5, but does not work for horizon 6. Is this a known issue? Any fixes?
Is this normal or a problem? My controller/motor drew 31.97A at its peak during a long ride. Generally it should be 30A peak, is this within the margin of error?
I’ve been using a MXUS 3K turbo 7.2kv (5T) but running it at 72v 5kW peak. It often reaches 115C which is total power cutoff, and throttles power down to 100C before restoring normal performance.
Am I going to slowly destroy my motor by doing this? I don’t try to reach 100+C on purpose, it just happens quickly when pinning throttle after a few minutes.
I can program lower temp throttling and cutoff, what is recommended?
(I know heat mods exist like statorade and hub sinks but I’m not there yet)
If your display only has 5 pedal assist levels, you need to configure the software like this:
I just wanted to post this here incase someone else runs into the same frustrating issues I had, where I was programming modes 1-5 only, and the power/speed limits were not being respected.
It looks like Bafang is designed to work strictly on a 9 PAS display, so this was the workaround
Does anybody else have this problem?
My maximum current on mode 1 is 17% (of 30 amps) which is roughly 5 amps.
This means I should be peaking at around 250 watts. However, my BMS app shows I’m drawing over 9 amps, and over 500 watts.
Why is this happening? Is this normal for mid drives?
Does anybody here use the Daniel Nilsson tuning software on their BBSHD?
Can you please share your tune (screenshot or file)? I'm really having a hard time getting it to ride the way I want.
Speed limits and power per assist level aren't being respected, not sure what I'm doing wrong.
