Was wondering if anyone would be interested in these mostly finished PCBS?

I definitely overwhelmed myself with projects and I need to clean house for my own sanity. I'm going to focus more on the projects I'm interested in.

I have the Klee sequencer which is almost 100% finished (of course minus the absolutely huge task of wiring lol)

And a Tellum Corporation Doomsday Machine that's mostly populated but will need some more components and ICs.

Just shoot me a fair offer and cover shipping.

(Not sure if this is allowed here mods but not really sure where else people would appreciate these)

Thanks for looking and message me if you have any questions.

My buddy and I made a short featuring some synth'n

Not sure if anyone would be into this but my friend is a filmographer and wanted to do a fun little short to mess with some new equipment. He decided to base it around Modular synths and put some horror elements beside it.

Check it out and have fun

P.s. don't take it too seriously lol

Could y'all do me a favor and let me know if I did everything correctly?

This is my first time ever messing around in the amp realm. I just bought my father an electric drum set because he recently moved into an apartment and really misses playing the drums. I thought I'd surprise him with that and a tiny amp made completely by myself. I just wanted to confirm with the pros before I go hooking everything else up.

It's a simple crossover board for a tweeter and a 4" mid bass woofer.

I drilled some extra holes for zip ties and everything has a small amount of hot glue on the bottom for extra protection.

Thanks and any constructive criticism is much appreciated!

He loves his bike basket!

I like taking Lou everywhere around town with me and I felt bad when he couldn't come on bike rides. Problem solved.

That's his little helmet hanging off the side (he still needs to get used to it)

He gets so excited to get in now.

The basket was off of Amazon but I reinforced it with some wood on the sides and added some extra zip ties for redundancy ha.

Wondering if any of my Kosmo people were looking for a trade?

Hey y'all! I was wondering if anyone out there would be interested in trading a Analog Output Hero VCO for one of my Sidekick VCOs?

If not would anyone be interested in splitting the cost of five Hero VCOs from JLCPCB if input in an order?

I'm in Pennsylvania USA and I'd like to keep it in the States for shipping reasons.

Thank for looking and feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Any locals have a CNC?

I'm looking for someone who owns a cnc machine that could complete a pretty simple project for me. I need a ½" piece or MDF cut to 6.5"x9.5". It'll have two holes and one rectangle.

I have the .DXF file already drawn up.

It also doesn't HAVE to be MDF if you don't have any laying around (Pine, birch, walnut, etc.)

If interested just DM me your info. And price.

Thanks!

Gifted a Strymon Starlab from my girlfriend yesterday for my Bday

Man...

I had a cheap diy reverb module for almost a year now and I thought it was good enough to get the job done but God I was wrong. I couldn't stop messing around with it last night. I still have a ton to learn on it but I don't see replacing this one ever.

Threw together something super quick. Shame it was recorded on a phone lol. I'm not a huge fan of recording my stuff.

Looking for some info on this guy I just picked up

Found this learner project on eBay today and picked it up because it seemed like a decent price even for a decoration for the studio.

I looked all over and couldn't find much info on it. If anyone has any leads it would be much appreciated.

I'd absolutely love to find the original kit manual.

Does anyone have any info on this guy?

I just picked this up online and I couldn't find much info. On it. It was cheap so I thought I'd take the risk with it. Worse case it's a cool studio piece.

The smell of steak finally lured it out.

Question for those who built MFOS kits.

At the end of the month I will be purchasing the MFOS Super - Modular Bundle.

I absolutely know what I'm in for and I have built their modules in the past.

Basically I'm just wondering if you would have done anything different during the build?

- Single modules Vs. Larger grouped panels?

- Did the Super kit seem like overkill?

- Would there be anything you felt like it was missing?

- Did you run into any problems during your build that I should prepare for?

I guess I'm mostly just looking to hear stories of your experience too.

I figured it out on my own so I must have invimted it lol

I usually tack my components down from the top and then flip the board to properly solder them from the bottom. Keeps thing was cleaner for me.

I have the stupid alligator clip + cheap magnifying glass setup off of Amazon and it's very difficult with large boards because it tips.

Bam! Threw a few standoffs on and made myself a little pcb table. So much easier to work on now.

Again this might be a common practice but it made my life so much easier.

Tellun TLN-712 Doomsday Machine PCB by the way. If anyone is interested lol.

Next step done on the Klee sequencer

I doubt many people are following this but i thought I'd keep updating for the couple who are and for myself.

I finally got my panel cut perfectly to size, my holes drilled (minus mounting), and my vinyl negative on.

These are still a couple letters (Rs, Ds, etc.) that need fillers and a little piece of vinyl on the bottom.

I really wanted to laser etch the aluminum but I decided to keep with the theme and do it as DIY as possible since I have obtained a free Cricut from work a few months back.

The idea of etching seems neat but I'm afraid of the caustic leaking under the vinyl and messing everything up. I'll likely prime, paint, and clear coat it unless someone with more experience has a better suggestion.

The boards are fully populated, rack is ready, and wires are in harnesses.

I bought massive toggle switches that are super heavy duty but they just barely don't fit so I'll have to order some slightly smaller ones.

The panel is 104hp 3U. I could have made it smaller but I really wanted it to be obnoxiously large.

I'm also currently working on the Tellun Doomsday Machine which will be in the same rack as the Klee.

I'm going to hold off until the Klee is completely finished to decide on the next module. It's supposed to be a slow project to test my patience so there is no need to rush.

Thanks to the few who read this!

I wanna hear all of your ridiculous thoughts you had about modular when you first started.

When I was getting into modular synths I had a behringer crave. I had tons of fun with it and then I saw that you can basically make your own Synth your own way full custom to you.

The thing that confused me the most were the rails. I thought they carried a live 12v current and that's how the modules were powered. I couldn't wrap my head around it and was wondering why they would plug in when the rail already had power.

Was it to commute with the other ones? Hahaha

I also thought FM was legit FM, like as in AM/FM radio. So basically I thought white, pink, etc. Noise was FM

Another step closer to finishimg the Klee sequencer

Finally (almost) finished my Klee sequencer front panel. I wanted to make it my own to follow the legacy of those who came before me.

It's a big boy that clocks in at 104hp 3U

I still need to drill the mounting holes.

I'm finalizing the artwork and I think I am going to etch the anodized aluminum with caustic. I'm pretty good at vinyl printing so I'll just make a negative to adhere and then keep it under pressure for a day or two so it completely adheres flat.

Boards are built and wire harnesses are premade. All I'll have to do is wire everything to the hardware and it should be ready.

I'll also have to build a power supply because I'm currently running all 12v so I'm going to be building a dedicated 104hp 9u case to house the rest of MOTM builds.

Find the odd man out

I know it's mostly aesthetic but I hate that I have one socket that is not like the others. Luckily I have a million others but I really wanted everything to match haha.

Luckily the hard part of the Klee is almost done. This was the hard part right?

I mean the wiring, and panel design, and drilling, and labeling, and building a power supply should be easy? Shouldn't it? Lol

I'm actually kinda sad this project is coming to an end.

I have my black anodized aluminum sheet cut to size.

My graphics are almost ready for print

My drill bits arrived a week ago

All of my wires are ready to snap in

Every part is ordered besides my 8 position rotary

I'd love to start another larger project after this one. If anyone has any suggestions that don't cost an arm and a leg (I'm talking to you Black Corporation Deckard's Dream) throw them my way!

Does anyone have the ability to cut a piece of aluminum sheet for me?

I live in an apartment in town so I don't have access to any of my tools anymore and I need a sheet of aluminum cut to a very specific size.

I asked a few metal shops in the area and they all have a minimum.

I already have the piece of aluminum

The sheet is currently:

610mm x 152.5mm x 1.6mm black anodized 5052 aluminum

I would need it cut to:

528.32 mm x 128.5mm

Thanks

Need help with Frequency Central Device daughter board

I have been working on the Frequency Central Device since yesterday and I finished the Envelope and the VCF/VCA. Now that I'm on the VCO I'm super confused.

Mostly I'm not sure what to do with the daughter board. From the little I found it's to keep the chip elevated and at a certain temperature to maintain pitch.

The eight pin socket on the right is covering four pads and there are four to the far right.

Then there is a sixteen pin socket outlined in white to the left.

The far left has eight vertical pads.

So I guess what I'm asking is do two sets of male headers go on the right side (between the socket and far right)?

And then just a single row of headers on the far left?

I looked and looked for documentation on this build and I can't find a single thing anywhere.
